Bethlehem – Ma’an – A Molotov Cocktail was thrown at the car of Bethlehem Mayor Victor Batarsa while it was parked in front of his home on Jamal Abed An-Naser Street in the central shopping area of Bethlehem.
Batarsa noted that “no one was at home when the Molotov was thrown at the car,” he added that he was at work in Jericho when the incident occurred. No injuries were reported.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), of which Batarsa is a member, denounced the incident and urged security services to bring the perpetrators to justice. Police assured they were investigating the incident.
