AID STUCK IN EGYPT~HELP THEM NOW

HELP~AID BOUND FOR GAZA STRANDED IN EGYPT!!

I want to bring this to the attention of people around the world. Please repost and spread the word. The Organisation "European Campaign to End the Siege in Gaza" who sponsored the “Hope” Convoy back in May 2009 which successfully entered Gaza and delivered some much needed aid to the people, has an additional large convoy stuck in Egypt at this time.

The convoy includes 100 vans full of medical supplies to the patients in Gaza, but the Egyptians are delaying them and putting obstacles in front of the convoy. Now all the vans, along with the aid, are in Port Said stuck. Additionally, more than 100 people of different European NGOs are also trapped there waiting for two weeks for the Egyptian authorities to simply allow them to drive their vans to Rafah.

Whatever country you are in, please ask your elected representatives to write to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry urging them to allow this aid to leave Port Said and travel to the Rafah border immediately. A sample letter is below if needed. If you are and Egyptian living in Egypt and are outraged at this, then call them below, everyone else can write them:

SAMPLE LETTER:

Egyptian Foreign Ministry
Cairo
Egypt

I am writing you to
about the humanitarian convoy to aid the Palestinians in Gaza, which is
currently in Port Said awaiting clearance for travel to Rafah
Border.

All the vans loaded with much needed aid are now stuck in
Port Said along with more than 100 people of different European NGOs, waiting
for some two weeks now merely for permission to drive their vans to Rafah.

I appeal to you and your government, to speed up the processes so
that the aid may reach the people of Gaza as soon as possible.

Thousands of people all across Europe who donated and collected
the aid, along with the hundred people who have brought the aid to Egypt, merely
wish to help the innocent civilian population of Gaza.

I appeal to
you on a humanitarian level to resolve any delays and to allow the aid and
convoy members to deliver the humanitarian aid as soon as
possible.

Yours Sincerely
