EGYPT TAKES HASBARA QUE FROM ISRAEL

IN an event more commonly seen with regards to Israel, Egypt has begun to apply “Hasbara” to the wall story. Egyptians have become disturbed over the public outcry regarding the strangulation wall it is building to encircle Gaza and create an enclosed inescapable fish barrel death camp, for Israel to shoot and bomb into. Egypt are now pontificating that they have the right to sovereignty and can build a wall if they want to. And in the same breath (and article) also “claiming” no wall is being built:
No steel wall on borders with Gaza: Egyptian FM spokesman

Egypt ruled out on Tuesday that the constructions on its borders with Gaza Strip are meant to build a steel wall to punish Islamic Hamas movement as media reports said.

Egypt is the one that determines measures on its territory to preserve national security and protect the country's borders, Egypt's MENA news agency quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman as saying on Tuesday. Such an issue is non-negotiable, said Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hossam Zaki.

Zaki said news that Egypt is constructing a wall along its borders with the Gaza Strip was reported by an Israeli newspaper and then fanned by some media outlets, adding that the move was followed by comments by international officials who do not have precise information about Egypt's measures in this regard.

He described as groundless news reports that Egypt's constructions along the border with the coastal enclave are designed to punish Hamas as the movement refuses to sign an Egyptian paper on Palestinian reconciliation.
Well if Egypt is not “building the 2nd Apartheid Wall” they better explain that to Abbas and the American Military:
link Abbas also expressed support for “steps taken by Egypt on its eastern border with Gaza”, referring to a steel security fence the country plans to erect in a bid to cut itself off from the Strip. “This has to do with Egyptian sover-eignty,” he said
US Military:
link Egypt has begun constructing a huge metal wall along its border with the Gaza Strip. When it is finished the wall will be 10-11km (6-7 miles) long and will extend 18 metres below the surface. The Egyptians are being helped by American army engineers, who the BBC understands have designed the wall. The wall will take 18 months to complete. Impenetrable because the barrier, made of super-strength steel, has been hidden deep underground. The BBC has been told that it was manufactured in the US, that it fits together in similar fashion to a jigsaw, and that it has been tested to ensure it is bomb proof.

Hello Irish. I am keeping the convoy in my prayers. I hope for a happy Christmas for you, the convey workers and all the Palestinian people.
