Gaza Got Hope? "NOPE"

Pretty Words and a Shiny Smiling New Face don't replace actions and deeds. So says a new poll just taken inside Gaza. Yup, Gazans aren't so quick to jump on the "Obama Hope Train" just yet, in fact, they don't see much difference in him and many other POTUS' save for Bush that is. Actually some say American policy is going backwards where Palestine is concerned. Must say I can't blame them for this reaction and I'm not surprised either because day after day Israel continues it's illegal land and water grabs, and every day more Palestinians are ethnically cleansed from Jerusalem.

My guess is that when Israel has completed destroying all Palestinian homes in Jerusalem, expelled and relocated all Palestinians from Jerusalem, effectively colonized all of Jerusalem, then we will suddenly see Zionist Leeches wanting peace. All they hav eto do is continue to stall, stall, stall, and stall....poll below:
An American-funded Middle East based research center found a general Palestinian interest in the regional visit of US President Barack Obama, but little hope for positive change despite recognition of a progressive tone shift, a poll found.

The Arab World for Research and Development (AWRAD), funded by the American Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) carried out an opinion poll of 1,200 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip between 12-14 June.

Results showed at least two-thirds of respondents stated followed the news of Obama’s visit to the region and 62% heard or read the speech the American President delivered on 4 June in Cairo where he laid out his Middle East agenda.

While Obama’s position is seen by many in North America and Europe as a step forward in Middle East policy, a majority of respondents in the AWRAD poll said Obama’s positions represent “no change” or a “regression” from previous American positions on the issue of Palestinian statehood.

The regression did not seem to be in comparison with former US President George W. Bush, as questions seeking measurement for Obama against Bush saw the former favored, as 30% of respondents saw Obama’s Middle East policy as better than Bush’s.

The effects of the Obama visit were predicted by respondents to make the situation in Palestine worse. For example, about 65 % believe that President Obama’s visit will lead to a tightening of the closure on Gaza and another 62 % believe that President Obama’s visit will lead to the reinforcement of the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and only 14 % strongly believe that his visit will lead to a halt in Israeli settlement activities linky link

Ehud Barak To Freeze Settlements "Oh Horse Shit"

A three month freeze? Seriously these people are truly the most outrageous crooks and liars ever to exist. Freeze settlements mi arse! What he really means is that they won't "start" any more for three months, but will continue to complete the hundreds of settlements already begun, including the ones where they have stolen only one house. yes, they will give their construction workers a "three months" summer vacation, how nice. Rest assured, they will continue to evict Palestinians from East Jerusalem and bulldoze their homes as well. Freeze Settlements? What do they take people for, Idiots?
Israel to offer three-month settlement freeze: report

Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak is to propose a limited three-month freeze on settlement growth in response to increased pressure from Washington, army radio reported on Sunday.

Barak, who is to meet US Middle East envoy George Mitchell in New York on Monday, will propose the freeze as a compromise to the demand from its closest ally for a complete halt to settlement activity on occupied land, it said.more

The "Myth" About Cockroach Settlers

The fallacious assumption created by Israel has now been rooted out and shown to the world. No longer can they use their age old lies for stealing land and filling it with Zionist Cockroach Jihadist Settlers. The jig is up, the game is over, the numbers don’t lie….but Israel does. Behold, the truth about Settlers:
MAALEH ADUMIM, West Bank (AP) - Israelis moving to the West Bank accounted for more than a third of settler population growth in recent years, undercutting Israel's argument that it is continuing settlement construction only to accommodate growing families already living there

The Israelis are playing a game of deception by what they call natural growth

Data from Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics supports that argument, showing that in 2007, 36 percent of all new settlers had moved from Israel or abroad.

Amid the influx of people drawn to cheaper housing in settlements, construction has continued _ more than 5,500 new apartments have been completed over the past three years in the West Bank, bureau figures show.

Settlements are a major obstacle to peacemaking because Israel has used them to extend its de facto boundaries into the West Bank and to cement its claim on east Jerusalem. The Palestinians claim both territories, captured by Israel in 1967, for a future state, along with the Gaza Strip, and want the Jewish construction there to stop.

Under the 2003 U.S.-backed road map peace plan, Israel promised to halt all settlement construction, including for natural growth. But the building has gone on.

Jerusalem-born Yaffa Shkibai, who has lived in Maaleh Adumim for 26 of her 50 years, has bought apartments for each of her four children here.«They should continue building and not be afraid of the U.S.,» she said. «If we bend, they'll kick us out of here.
(Ok that's it, I've tried to hold my tongue, but I feel a rant coming on, yup, here it comes, can't control myself. Settlers are so intelligent, aren't' they? Yes, you stupid Neanderthal woman, you are actually stating the obvious, that IS the plan you greedy asshat cockroach living on stolen land. There, now I feel much better)
The United States is among those monitoring settlement activity. The U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem said its officials regularly visit settlements and take photographs. A foreman at one construction project in Maaleh Adumim said Monday that U.S. officials had been there recently, walking around and taking pictures.
(Good!! Document the ethnic cleansing and crimes of the criminals. Thanks be to God it's a US official, otherwise they'd shoot and kill him like they do everyone else)
Netanyahu pointedly dropped the politically charged «natural growth» phrase for «normal lives. But the linguistic slight of hand doesn't mask the fact that migration _ and not just the growth of families _ is a major factor in settler population growth.
(Major Hasbara Alert!!! The new catch phrase is "Normal Lives" as if anything about this cockroach infestation is even "remotely" normal)
Migration from Israel and abroad accounted for 5,300 of the 14,500 new settlers in 2007, the last year for which bureau data are available.

And 2007 wasn't a random blip. Migration accounted for between a third and half of the population growth in each year between 1999 and 2007, save 2005, when numbers were skewed by Israel's withdrawal of 8,500 settlers from the Gaza Strip.

Nearly 300,000 Israelis currently live in the West Bank and 180,000 in east Jerusalem, whose annexation by Israel in 1967 is not internationally recognized. That's more than double from 116,300 at the end of 1993, the year Israel and the Palestinians signed their landmark accord.
( I hope Israel has some serious big moving companies the Government can employ to move these 480,000 cockroaches off another country's land. If not, then may I suggest calling in the bug exterminators to spray them out with Roach Killer. Probably cheaper than moving vans anyway and NO nasty left overs)
Between 2006 and 2008 _ roughly the tenure of the previous government _ Israel completed building 5,503 apartments in the West Bank and began building 5,125, the statistics bureau said.

Maaleh Adumim, home to more than 35,000 settlers, continues to be one of the biggest magnets for "Cockroaches" migrants. At the settlement's northeastern edge, overlooking the Judean desert, rumbling front-end loaders were busy scooping up mounds of dirt and stones at a new neighborhood that has been going up for the past 2½ years. Bricks, steel rods and coils of rubber tubing were piled up outside the unfinished homes.

"I think Bibi said it right," Navon said, referring to Netanyahu by his nickname. «Natural growth has to continue. source
I say Don't let the doorknob hit ya in the arse on your way out the door of the illegal home you are squatting in. These "people" (Using the term loosely as there are no human traits in them what so ever) they all deserve a slow and painful eviction. No pity for Neanderthal Racists. I hope CNN has massive live coverage when they are all removed kicking and screaming, or should I say moaning, groaning and grunting like Neanderthals do.
