Boy this is really funny. The Zionists have their nose out of joint because the Boycott of Israel won’t go away. How refreshing that I happen to live in Europe, where not all countries are controlled or afraid to stand up to Israel when they need standing up to. I mean, just look at how quickly Obama caved over settlements AND Jerusalem, and how says American’s are “brave and courageous” evidently not in the face of all powerful America controlling Israel. A European Jewish Congress (EJC) delegation called on Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov to use his influence to combat calls in the EU to suspend the process of upgrading relations with Israel.

“There are unfortunately some discordant voices within the EU who use Israel’s economic development as a political bargaining chip in issues that have little to do with economics and trade,” said Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress, during a meeting in Sofia.

In the wake of Israel’s operation in Gaza in January, the EU has suspended the planned upgrade of EU-Israel relations. It said the move will not go ahead until Israel halts settlement expansion and accepts a two-state solution.

The EJC said the meeting with the Bulgarian President and high-level members of the Bulgarian government is part of an ongoing effort to promote issues of importance to the European Jewish community with European leaders and to coordinate an organized effort regarding the Iranian nuclear threat.link

What they really want is: #1 European trade and all the money it brings them, and #2 they want to corral the EU into supporting a war on Iran, not gonna happen asshats. We are too smart for that. Anti-Muslim Party Elected in Holland

Yesterday we all voted in the European Election here in Ireland. Although the results are not to be known until Monday due to the fact that some countries are still voting, a nasty surprise emerged late last night. It was announced that the Dutch Racist Anti-Muslim party called..........wait for it........."Freedom Party" is expected to have huge wins, possibly taking up to 6 seats out of 25 in the Netherlands. So given that Obama will be pushing for the Zionist settlements to come down, perhaps the settlers may want to look at Holland for their new home, according to the election results they will fit right in.........what a disgrace.

Hard-right Dutch maverick Geert Wilders ahead in EU polls Anti-Islam politician's party could take six seats in European parliament

Geert Wilders, Holland's anti-immigrant, Muslim-baiting maverick, appeared to be heading for a triumph in his first European election tonight, with polls and surveys indicating that he could win the ballot in the Netherlands.

The Dutch, as well as the British, kicked off four days of elections to the European parliament across the EU's 27 countries. Wilders cast an optimistic vote in The Hague and declared that Turkey could not join the EU "in a million years".

A detailed poll-tracking survey, predict09.eu, run by political scientists at the London School of Economics and Trinity College Dublin, indicated that Wilder's Freedom party could take 21% of the vote and six of the Netherlands' 25 seats in Brussels and Strasbourg, ahead of the traditionally governing parties, the Christian Democrats and the Labour party, which are currently in coalition.

Wilders wants the European parliament abolished, and Bulgaria and Romania kicked out of the EU. The virulence of his anti-Islam and anti-immigrant activities saw him barred from entering Britain this year and the Dutch authorities are prosecuting him for discrimination.

The poll trackers predicted six seats for Wilders, compared with a projection of three a month ago. Opinion poll support for the tall, bleach-haired populist has doubled this year, while his video film Fitna stirred outrage with its graphic depiction of Islam as synonymous with violence and terrorism.

Voter confusion, apathy, and anger are likely to cause both a low turnout and a wave of anti-incumbent protest voting that will hit the mainstream parties and benefit extremists on the far right and the hard left, according to analysts. That appeared to be part of the picture in the Netherlands yesterday.

The parliament will still be dominated, however, by the two big groupings of the centre-right and centre-left, with the Christian Democrats of the European People's party mustering around 260 seats transnationally to the European Socialists' (social democrats) 200, according to the LSE team.

The new parliament has 49 fewer seats than the outgoing assembly, and outright anti-Europeans and eurosceptics are expected to increase their presence to around 100 seats. link

UPDATE~European Campaign to Break the Siege

Another convoy on the way to Gaza announced by the European Campaign to Break the Siege on Gaza. Reported to consist of hundreds of trucks with medical equipment. Additionally this time there will not be just one Elected Parliamentarian, like there was with the Viva Palestina convoy and George Galloway. Nope, this time there will be "dozens" of EU parliamentarians coming along. Head up Egypt and Israel!

Gaza – Ma’an Hundreds of trucks loaded with 150 wheelchairs and medical equipment for the disabled and other equipment for the deaf and blind will soon depart for Gaza, according to a statement sent to Ma'an.

Dozens of European parliamentarians will join the convoy, planned to set sail in May from Italy to Egypt, where the group will coordinate passage to the Strip via Rafah.

"The latest Israeli war against the Gaza Strip increased the Palestinian struggle and suffering, leaving many injured and disabled, and many stories of misery,” said Dr Arafat Mady, head of the European Campaign.

He added, "There are some cases that we could name where patients have become 100 percent disabled, paralyzed, and others who lost their sight, and many who are no longer able to hear."

He said the aim of the convoy is to remind the world of what happened to Palestinians there and the consequences of the war, and to encourage other states to support Gaza.

He also called on Israel and Egypt to open their crossings to permit patients to travel, noting that hundreds of Palestinians have died due to lack of treatment.

Some 100 European parliamentarians, mayors and governors arrived in the West Bank on Sunday under the auspices of a program that “twins” French cities with Palestinian refugee camps.

The leaders, who are primarily French, visited their counterparts on Sunday in the twinning project in Deheisha Refugee Camp in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. The delegation is led by Fernand Tuil, the head of the French twinning committee (Association des Villes Françaises Jumelées avec des Camps de Réfugiés Palestiniens).

The delegation is scheduled to visit several Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank and Jerusalem to show solidarity with the Palestinian people, and demonstrate support for Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their homes from which they and their ancestors were expelled in 1948.

The delegation will also hold talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and other Palestinian politicians in order to receive updates about the situation in Palestine.

According to Tuil, the predominantly French delegation is the largest of its kind that has ever come to the Palestinian territories. He said the goal of the visit is to support the struggle of the Palestinian people for their national aims.

During their visit that began at noon in Deheisha Camp, the European officials met Ahmad Muheisin, head of the Palestinian side of the twinning committee, and Muhammad Al-Lahham, a Palestinian lawmaker, and attended a reception at Al-Fineiq Hall.

Another meeting is scheduled to be held in Aida Refugee Camp, also in Bethlehem, where the guests will meet Palestinian lawmaker Issa Qaraqi and other activists in the camp to discuss a potential pairing between Aida and the French city Nogent.


European figures including Swiss MP to participate in Italian aid convoy to Gaza

BRUSSELS,

Swiss MP Joseph Zisyadis and other anti-siege European personalities declared their intention to participate in the "Hope" convoy traveling from Italy to the besieged Gaza Strip earlier next month to express their solidarity with the distressed Gaza people.

In a press statement, MP Zisyadis condemned the Israeli siege on Gaza as a shameful crime against humanity, calling for lifting it immediately.

He also urged the world's free people and human rights advocates to urgently act to end the suffering of the besieged Palestinians in Gaza.

For his part, Sameh Habib, the spokesman for the convoy's coordination committee, said that the convoy will be composed of about 100 trucks and ambulances loaded with medicines, clothing and needs for the handicapped and hundreds of orphans whose parents were killed during the last Israeli war on Gaza.

Habib invited journalists and media outlets to cover this important event and relay the real suffering of one and a half million Palestinians to the whole world.

Organizer of the convoy the European campaign to lift the siege is making concentrated efforts to send this magnificent convoy to Gaza in the context of its endeavors to break the Israeli siege on Gaza.

EU Calls for SUSPENSION of Israeli-EU Agreements

SNP Member of the European Parliament Mr Alyn Smith has reiterated his call for the EU-Israel Association agreement to be suspended in order to pressure the Israeli government to abide by the international commitments made towards the welfare of the Palestinian people.

The call came after Smith met in Brussels with Scots involved in the "Peace Cycle" initiative, which has seen young volunteers cycle from Amman to Jerusalem and yesterday delivered a 15,000 petition to the European Parliament calling for the suspension of the Association Agreement. Smith's call comes also in the light of comments made by Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman that Israel need not be bound by the Annapolis accords.

Smith said:

"Things are going from bad to worse in the Middle East, and the EU as a whole continues to send precisely the wrong signals to the increasingly intransigent Israeli government. At least Mr Lieberman does not pretend to have any regard for human rights, where a number of his predecessors have pretended to talk about peace while all the while undermining any chance of a viable Palestinian state at all.

"The EU has to recognise that the Israeli government is not a partner in peace, it is the primary opponent of it. Until we use our collective economic and political power to bring them to the negotiating table we will only continue to watch things go from bad to worse.

"When I visited Gaza, the West Bank and Israel I saw for myself the daily humiliations inflicted upon the Palestinian people, making the economy of Palestine a basket case, brutalising the population and in itself encouraging violence, which is then used to justify further aggression. I favour a two state solution but there has to be two viable states in the first place and the Israeli government is being permitted to undermine at every turn any chance the Palestinians have of establishing any viable economy.

"I commend the efforts of the Peace Cycle campaign, and certainly support their call for the EU to get real in our collective dealings with Israel.

"The phrase I heard from an Israeli peace activist in Haifa still rings in my ears; that "Israel must be saved from itself" is becoming more and more true with every day that passes. The EU must match the hand wringing and humanitarian aid with hard action to bring the Israeli government to account, and the only weapons we have at our disposal are economic ones." SOURCE
