Israel "Child Killing Unit" shot a Palestinian teenager in the foot, in order to then take him to a Hospital inside Israel to then "interrogate" him in the way that only "Israel" (And George Bush)is allowed to. Much like War Criminal Bush, torture is allowed in Israel. Israeli forces at the Gaza border shot a Palestinian teenager in his foot and proceeded to detain him, on Sunday evening.

Gaza's Health Ministry told local media that the 15-year-old boy was taken to a hospital inside Israel.

Israeli sources reported that a military patrol discovered the boy approaching the electronic fence that surrounds Gaza. The patrol shot the boy when he refused to stop.

Others sources claim that the boy was wearing a thick jacket, which made the boy look suspicious in the eyes of the soldiers. The boy was searched and no explosives or weapons where found on him.

The boy reportedly admitted that he intended to "infiltrate" into Israel during his interrogation. But he kept insisting that he had no plans to carry out any attacks against Israel.

It remains unknown how trustworthy this testimony is, since it is widely documented by human rights organizations that Israel employs dubious interrogation techniques that could be qualified as torture. Palestinian children have not been exempted from this treatment. link

GUILTY~Israel Found Guilty of Misleading

Looks like the Israeli "Hasbara" spin machine, spun a little out of control in it's recent add campaign in London, England. I wrote about it here when it happened. The Zionist add campaign for Israel consisted of posters inviting the British people of London to leave their cold rainy country to come and visit sunny happy racist Israel. In their zeal, the Zionist Add Agency went a bit too far with the "spin" and published huge posters they covered the London Underground with. These posters consisted of maps of Israel, showing the whole of Israel as including all of Palestine, Oooopsie!! The ever vigilant British Public noticed something was not quite right and filed hundreds of complaints. Mucho Kudos to them, here's the scoop:

The Advertising Standards Authority said a map labelled Israel implied the occupied territories were in Israel.

Israel's ministry of tourism said no political message was intended. (Yeah, right mate) It added that its aim was to give tourists an idea of the areas in and around Israel.(What he really means is the future map of Israel if the Zionists get their way)

The ASA said: "We understood that the borders and status of the occupied territories of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Golan Heights were the subject of much international dispute, and because we considered that the ad implied that those territories were part of the State of Israel, we concluded that the ad was misleading."

They said the advert must not appear again in the same form.

CNN & Canadian PM Join Zionist Group To Restrict Free Speech

What do CNN and the Canadian Government have in common? Plenty folks! It appears they are both supportive of Zionists and Anti-Free Speech. Well, we already knew that about Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper when he assisted in banning George Galloway from entering Canada to exercise his right to Free Speech. But, what we did not know until now, is that CNN joined the call for Free Speech Restrictions. Wowzer, so much for an Un-Biased press...Maybe it's time to ask CNN why it is engaging in one sided politics.

Canadian pro-Israel students, in the wake of the Iranian "Twitter Revolution," were using the social networking Web site to "expose the lies at the anti-Israel 'academic' conference taking place at York University" in Toronto.

Exposing York, started by Hasbara at York, (AKA World Union of Jewish Students) has developed a following of over 700 users since Monday, when the conference opened. Followers include senior Canadian government officials, major international news agencies, and three Israeli embassies in North America.

Israeli Army Shoot 12 Year Old Child

Today the Israeli Army Child Killing Unit shot another child. But no need to worry, decent people of the world, after all they are “allowed” to shoot 12 year old children. Why? Because, according to Israel, you are no longer a child when you turn 12 years old. Never mind that the world definition of legal adult age is 18 years old, like everything else, Israel makes it’s own rules to suit it’s purpose of ethnic cleansing as was so graphically depicted in the T-Shirts the IDF soldiers gleefully wore with pregnant women and with children on them as targets. Israel has a long standing Army policy of shooting children since as far back as the year 2000, as I will point out after today's shooting report below:

So let's now take a look at an interview that was given by an IDF sharpshooter in his own words no less. The important thing to notice here (aside from the FACT that they shoot 12 year olds!!!) is that this interview was done, not now, but in 2000,(thanks Owl for pointing the date out) a whopping NINE years ago. Which, points out that this "policy" of murdering Palestinian children is just "part and parcel" of everyday life in the Israeli military.

Q:Under international law, a child is defined as someone up to the age of 18.

A:"Up until 18 is a child?"

Q:So, according to the IDF, it is 12?

A:"According to what the IDF says to its soldiers. I don't know if this is what the IDF says to the media."

Q:And children are from 12 down. Is there no order that between 12 and 18 you shoot at the legs and not the head?

A:"Of course we try to see to it that he really is over 20."

Q:In the 10 seconds that you have.

A:"In the 10 seconds that I have, I have to estimate how old he is."

Q:And in what direction the wind is blowing, and the deviation here and there, and which way he'll jump the next moment.

A:"Yes, but there are hardly any mistakes by sharpshooters. The mistakes are made by people who aren't sharpshooters."

Q:And it turns out that they happen to hit the children's heads, and all this is just by chance?

A:"If you say you have seen children that have been hit in the head a lot, then it is sharpshooters."

Q:So what you're saying is that our definition of children is different.

Q:Because for you it's someone who is 12.

And, just to hammer home this "policy" of murdering children, yet another interview with another "Israeli Child Killer" soldier who is quite proud of his killing of a beautiful little girl called Iman, who did nothing wrong, except have the misfortune to be born Palestinian and live next to a genocidal rogue state called Israel. Again, this is a report from 2004, so this "policy" is nothing new for Israel as they have been killing children for almost TEN years, since 2000.

An Israeli army officer who repeatedly shot a 13-year-old Palestinian girl in Gaza dismissed a warning from another soldier that she was a child by saying he would have killed her even if she was three years old.

The officer, identified by the army only as Captain R, was charged this week with illegal use of his weapon, conduct unbecoming an officer and other relatively minor infractions after emptying all 10 bullets from his gun’s magazine into Iman al-Hams when she walked into a “security area” on the edge of Rafah refugee camp last month.

A tape recording of radio exchanges between soldiers involved in the incident, played on Israeli television, contradicts the army’s account of the events and appears to show that the captain shot the girl in cold blood

So what we can see from this child killer report above, are two things, firstly, the "watchtower" asks if the girl is over 10 years old, this seems to be in breach of their insane and illegal policy of killing 12 year olds, as they now seem to reduce the age to 10 years old, so which is it Israel? 12 year olds, 10 year olds, or just all Palestinian children that are alive and breathing? Secondly, this "murdering scum soldier" believes in shooting even a 3 year old child as he stated. Makes you wonder how many more are just like this killer, given what we have seen in Gaza recently. British Weapons Systems Killed Palestinians

Britain has promised to probe into its sale of military equipment to Israel amid pressure over its contribution to the Gaza aggression.

After months of evading the issue of British support for Israel, Foreign Secretary David Miliband confirmed on Tuesday that London had "almost certainly" supplied Tel Aviv with equipment used in the military offensive into Gaza.
Miliband said he would order a review of all licenses for arms export to Israel.

"I can confirm that we are looking at all extant licences (for sensitive exports to Israel) to see whether any of these need to be reconsidered in light of recent events in Gaza," he said in a written statement.

While Tel Aviv continues to enforce a crippling blockade on Gaza and prevents necessary humanitarian aid and assistance from reaching the 1.5 million people inside the strip, British support for Israel has sparked controversy and has prompted opposition in parliament.

"All future applications will be assessed taking into account the recent conflict," Miliband promised.

Equipment supplied to Israel from the UK includes parts for Israeli reconnaissance satellites -- which are suspected of playing a part in espionage operations by the Israeli army.

"We assess that these might have been used to prepare the operation but would not have played a significant part in the operation itself," the British diplomat explained.

According to Miliband, F16 aircraft that incorporate British components indirectly exported to Israel via the United States were also "widely used" to deliver precision-guided bombs.

The UK has banned the export of F16 components to Israel since 2002.

Apache attack helicopters, Saar-class corvette naval vessels and armored personnel carriers -- all of which either incorporate British components or are upgrades of models supplied by the UK -- have also been employed by Tel Aviv during the war.

While the UK probe is expected to eventually prevent all future arms sales for the use of internal repression and external aggression, the decision has failed to quell the criticism leveled against the British government.

"David Miliband failed to bring pressure to bear on Israel through a suspension of arms sales when it might have had a useful effect," Edward Davey, foreign affairs spokesman for the Liberal Democrats, said in a statement.

"A review now only serves to slam the stable door after the horse has bolted," he insisted, describing the move by the British foreign secretary as a mere confirmation that the British arms control system had broken down.

More than 100 legislators in the UK signed a statement in January that called for an embargo on the supply of military equipment to both sides of the Gaza conflict.

Israel makes nearly 95 percent of its military-related purchases from the United States, which bankrolls many of the contracts using the nearly $3 billion in annual foreign aid it has allocated for Tel Aviv.

The British contribution to the total Israeli arms imports are believed to stand at around 1 percent.

Despite global condemnation of the war on Gaza, Washington has taken no action to curb Israeli aggression against the Palestinians who have become the victims of a 60-year-old Israeli land-grabbing campaign that has forced them out of most of their native land for the sake of a purely Jewish Israel. source

Trouble~Investigation into Israel's Actions in Gaza

This is the second time it has been delayed, I smell the Nazi Zionists at work forcing their Puppet Countries to let them off the hook for killing 400 children and using weapons illegally. Oh and bombing UN facilities, medics, hospitals, schools, herding families into a house and then bombing it, murder, murder, murder, etc, etc, etc.

The United Nations has once again delayed disclosing the findings of its investigation into the recent Israeli bloodshed of the Palestinians.

Having missed two previous deadlines, on Thursday, the world body said the results from its probe into the 22-day Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip were not yet ready.

"It is not done yet. As we indicated last week, it might be about another week or so from now before it is done," UN spokesperson Farhan Haq said at the organization's headquarters in New York on Friday in response to a Press TV correspondent question.

Last week, spokeswoman for Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Michele Montas had assured that the final report would be delivered up this week. "We have asked for a little more time to finalize the report. The secretary general agreed with that….I can tell you it is going to be next week," she had said.

Our reference to Montas' confirmation was, however, met with the body's denial. "No. We had a statement last week, I believe last Wednesday or Thursday, that it would be possibly another two weeks," Haq added to his Friday remarks.

This is while the independent board of inquiry, commissioned by the secretary general to file the report, had originally promised to have the report ready by the end of March.

The international body had also promised to help end the humanitarian crisis caused by the Israeli attacks which wrought havoc on the strip in late 2008 and early 2009. Close to 1,400 Palestinians were killed in the operations -- most of them civilians.

UN shelters -- swarmed with refugees -- were also targeted three times during the attacks, prompting the body to commission the report.

With Tel Aviv having opted out of cooperation with the UN Human Rights Council on the matter, Ban's inquiry is the only one left to have access to the both sides of the conflict.

This is while, UN General Assembly President Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann refers to the organization's record of failures to address the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The UN had been failing in its commitments dating back to 1947 when it promised to establish both a Palestinian state and Israel, he said. "That is the single biggest in the history of the United Nations: The lack of fulfillment. Because we still do not have a Palestinian state officially declared and we still have turmoil."

Hundreds of EU Elected Officials Visit Gaza

100 European lawmakers, governors, mayors visit West Bank refugee camps

Some 100 European parliamentarians, mayors and governors arrived in the West Bank on Sunday under the auspices of a program that “twins” French cities with Palestinian refugee camps.

The leaders, who are primarily French, visited their counterparts on Sunday in the twinning project in Deheisha Refugee Camp in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. The delegation is led by Fernand Tuil, the head of the French twinning committee (Association des Villes Françaises Jumelées avec des Camps de Réfugiés Palestiniens).

The delegation is scheduled to visit several Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank and Jerusalem to show solidarity with the Palestinian people, and demonstrate support for Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their homes from which they and their ancestors were expelled in 1948.

The delegation will also hold talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and other Palestinian politicians in order to receive updates about the situation in Palestine.

According to Tuil, the predominantly French delegation is the largest of its kind that has ever come to the Palestinian territories. He said the goal of the visit is to support the struggle of the Palestinian people for their national aims.

During their visit that began at noon in Deheisha Camp, the European officials met Ahmad Muheisin, head of the Palestinian side of the twinning committee, and Muhammad Al-Lahham, a Palestinian lawmaker, and attended a reception at Al-Fineiq Hall.

Another meeting is scheduled to be held in Aida Refugee Camp, also in Bethlehem, where the guests will meet Palestinian lawmaker Issa Qaraqi and other activists in the camp to discuss a potential pairing between Aida and the French city Nogent.

Tesco criticised for Israeli goods boycott hotline

Tesco has come under fire from the pro-Israel lobby after setting up a customer helpline option for people to complain about it stocking Israeli products.

A recorded message told callers ringing its general customer services number: "If you are ringing regarding Israeli goods, please press one."

The supermarket said it set up the line, which is no longer available, in anticipation of a high level of calls after the Palestine Solidarity Campaign called for a boycott of Israeli goods and urged its supporters to phone Tesco and Waitrose on 30 March about their stance on selling Israeli and Israeli settlement produce. Tesco insisted it had not meant to cause offence and said it apologised if any had been taken.

Anyone choosing the option, which was designed so customers with other queries would not find the line clogged, would have been put through to specially briefed call centre staff, the chain said.

Jonathan Hoffman, the Zionist Federation co-vice-chair, said Israel had been made a scapegoat, the Jewish Chronicle reported. "The risk is that supermarkets will say it's too much of a problem to stock Israeli goods," he told the newspaper.

A Tesco spokesman said: "We were made aware that a campaign group had asked supporters of its specific cause to call supermarkets. In order that any caller could be directed to an appropriate customer services operator, a call option was added to the usual menu.

Two solidarity convoys will arrive in besieged Gaza Strip via Egypt in the coming three weeks, a Palestinian official in Gaza reported.

According to Adel Zu’rub, the spokesperson of the official anti-siege committee in Gaza, the first convoy, led by Scottish lawmaker Pauline McNeill, will arrive next Tuesday via the Rafah border crossing. The convoy is carrying medical supplies.

A second 100-vehicle convoy will set out from Milan, Italy, travelling to Alexandria, Egypt, by boat and then continue to Gaza, aiming to arrive on 3 May. The Italian effort is also carrying medical supplies. source

Anti-Defamation League asks MSU to reconsider Tutu

In a letter sent last week, the Anti-Defamation League asked Michigan State University President Lou Anna Simon to reconsider the invitation extended to Archbishop Desmond Tutu to give the university’s commencement address next month.

The Jewish advocacy organization said the South African cleric, whose opposition to Apartheid earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984, had made statements about Israel that “conveyed outright bigotry against the Jewish homeland and the Jewish people.”

It said he supports a cultural and academic boycott of Israel “based on ideas that are anti-Semitic and should be anathema to any institution of higher learning truly committed to academic freedom.”

Simon responded earlier this week. She said no.

While noting that university leaders had publicly opposed such a boycott, she wrote in a letter dated Monday, “Michigan State University rejects the notion that free intellectual exchange and scholarly activities should be casualties of political disagreement.”

White Phosphorous bombs – a legacy of suffering

DURING Israel’s three-week long offensive on Gaza launched on 27 December, the Israeli Army used internationally-banned weapons according to foreign military and medical experts. American-made white phosphorus shells were used in populated areas across the Gaza Strip, home to about 1.5 million people.

Dr Nafez Abu Shaban, head of the Burns Unit at Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s largest medical centre, has treated dozens of patients who suffered severe burns. He is keeping a piece of phosphorus covered under sand in a jar to prevent it from being exposed to oxygen.

“Of course, at the beginning of the war, we thought they were normal burns,” Dr Shaban says, “but then patients came back to the hospital suffering from severe pain, and some patients even died. Patients who suffer from 15 per cent surface burns should not die, so we started to ask why.

“Some of the doctors who came to Gaza to help us seemed to have experienced these burns as a result of the use of white phosphorous bombs.”

FAMILY KILLED

More than three months have passed since Israel ended its war but it has left legacies of suffering and sad memories. Life has returned to normality for many people but Sabah Abu Halima, who was burnt from head to toe and lost her husband and four children, is still in pain. She has weekly physiotherapy sessions at Shifa Hospital.

We visited her at her house in the northern Gaza Strip town of Seyafa, about 1km from the Strip’s northern border with Israel.

She showed us around her house which was burned as a result of white phosphorous shell that fell on her family’s 16 members through the roof “We had a happy home,” she tells us. “I lived in this house in security with my husband and children. I was the happiest person in the world but all of that changed when, on 4 January, the Israeli Army entered our village and fired two phosphorous shells that penetrated our roof and burnt us while we were having our lunch. The fire was like lava. My family were burnt and their bodies turned to crisps.”

– Mother Sabah Abu Halima, who lost her husband and four children in an Israeli attack. The mournful mother, who is still unable to walk or talk properly, said the house was completely engulfed in flames but she found a photo of her youngest daughter, Shahad, who was only 15 months old. I asked her to comment on the writing which was left on the wall of her bedroom that reads: “From the Israeli Defence Force, we are sorry!”

She says:

“I demand the whole world and international human rights organisations to sue the killers of my family. They killed so many innocent people who tried to rescue us.
“What was the guilt of my children and my baby Shahad? Their sorry will not bring back my family. I’m still physiologically and mentally in pain. I can’t even pick up a cup of tea now. My life will never be the same.” She has tears in her eyes.
Some Israeli soldiers have admitted they killed civilians under the so-called rules of engagement. Acts of vandalism, violating medical ethics, using civilians as human shields and indiscriminate killing was obvious through the use of lethal force.

INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

The use of internationally-banned weapons by Israeli forces will leave many with long-term illnesses and it is believed that the area will remain contaminated, putting locals at risk of contracting sickness.

Dr Shaban wants the international community to put pressure on Israel to tell the truth.

“We need to know to know if uranium was used. Were others banned weapons used? We need to know the long-term implications. Will these weapons cause cancer?
“It’s the duty of the international community to investigate this matter. Now we hear many people are still afraid to eat vegetables planted in areas where phosphorous was used because it might be contaminated with radiation.”

The war has changed the lives of many people like Sabah and left a story in every house in besieged Gaza. More than 1,400 Palestinians were killed, most of them civilians, including 313 children. About 5,500 were injured.

Sabah’s tragedy is one of many documented by many international lawyers and fact-finding missions but whether those behind these crimes will be brought to justice remains to be seen.

What About ISRAEL? US Court Allows Apartheid Claims

They argue that the firms supplied equipment used by the South African security forces to suppress dissent.

Now I find this interesting, I wonder if this can set a precedence for going after companies that made the weapons that murdered civilians, the illegal use of White Phosphorous on civilians, the DIME missiles, etc, all made in the USA and used in an illegal fashion on Palestinians who were corralled into an area and then murdered or incinerated. 'Wilful blindness'

US District Judge Shira Scheindlin in New York dismissed complaints against several companies but said plaintiffs could proceed with lawsuits against IBM, Daimler, Ford, General Motors and Rheinmetall Group, the German parent of an armaments maker.

"Corporate defendants accused of merely doing business with the apartheid government of South Africa have been dismissed," she said.

The plaintiffs argue that the car manufacturers knew their vehicles would be used by South African forces to suppress dissent. They also say that computer companies knew their products were being used to help strip black South Africans of their rights.

The judge disagreed with IBM's argument that it was not the company's place to tell clients how to use its products.

"That level of wilful blindness in the face of crimes in violation of the law of nations cannot defeat an otherwise clear showing of knowledge that the assistance IBM provided would directly and substantially support apartheid," she said.

Egyptian Islamists: Deny entry to 'Zionist terrorist' Lieberman

A key Egyptian opposition faction have submitted a bill to deny entry to Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

Hussein Ibrahim, the chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood, wrote in the proposal that Lieberman deliberately harms the continuity of the Egyptian people and government. He also called the far-right minister "a Zionist terrorist" and said his policies are "overly extreme."

More than a hundred MPs, all of them from the opposition, endorsed the motion.

Ibrahim told an Egyptian Web site on Friday that the Egyptian government did stand up properly to the newly appointed Israeli foreign minister, and that it should have boycotted him a long time ago.

Egypt has threatened to boycott Lieberman unless he issues an official apology for past remarks, including telling Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to "go to hell."

Last week, Egyptian ambassador to Israel Yasser Rida threatened to boycott the anniversary ceremony to protest Lieberman's pending appointment.

PENDLE MP Gordon Prentice is calling for an independent inquiry into allegations of war crimes during the Israeli assault on Gaza.

Following the conflict in December and January, Mr Prentice has called for an immediate halt to UK arms exports to Israel.

He said: “What happened in Gaza should concern us all.

“The attack was a wholly disproportionate response to the rockets fired into southern Israel.”

Mr Prentice is supporting the Commons motion tabled by Martin Linton MP last week.

Gazan doctor nominated for Nobel

Dr. Abu al-Aish, who lost three daughters to fighting in Gaza, receives news of candidacy for peace prize. 'This prize will make my tragedy into something positive,' he says

Dr. Ezzeldeen Abu al-Aish, a Gazan doctor who lost his three daughters to IDF fire during Israel's offensive in the Strip, has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, Ynet learned Sunday

Abu al-Aish received a letter from the Nobel Committee officially declaring him a nominee for the prestigious award.

"I received the news at the end of a meeting with the president of the European parliament while I was visiting Belgium, where I was made an honorary citizen," he said in a telephone conversation from Canada.

"I wouldn't call my first response joy, personally it is not joyous, but it does encourage me to hope for the two people. This prize will make my tragedy into something positive for the human race. It is a victory for intelligence, a victory for hope for positive change for our two people."

The doctor said he would dedicate the prize to the simple people on both sides, Israeli and Palestinian, in the event that he won.

Abu al-Aish, who works at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, said he had already received praise for his candidacy. "The first to call me was Minister Avishai Braverman. He congratulated me and said I represent us all," he said.

The physician promised the nomination would not alter his way of life. "I will continue on my path. It may give me more responsibility but it won't change my faith," he said.

"Winning the prize will be a direct continuation of my activities in favor of a life of peace between two people… The fact that a simple man such as myself is nominated for such a prize only shows that nothing is impossible. The only impossible thing is my daughters' return."

When asked whether he might consider relinquishing medicine in order to enter politics Abu al-Aish said, "Where I find a way to change and help – that's where I will be. I am willing to sacrifice my private time for this goal, but right now I want to save lives. Medicine brings people together, saves souls, and cures wounds, and this is what we need now."

Israeli Consulate Takes Over Palestinian Discussion Group in New Hampshire

Here's Israel bullying it's way into a group discussing the plight of Palestinians. The group in New Hampshire, has been carrying on discussion throughout February. Then, suddenly "Several members of the public, who complained to library officials, said the event was not accurate and was one-sided." Translation, the Jewish Lobby, the same people who smeared Charles Freeman and the same people who banned a Member of the British Parliament from entering Canada. Yet, they have the right to force themselves into a public venue to spew their Israeli "hasbara" to the public? Why can't people be allowed to have groups without Israel horning in. Israeli consul will speak in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — A high-ranking Israeli diplomat will be at Portsmouth Public Library on Monday to continue what has become an intense local discussion regarding the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Several members of the public, who complained to library officials, said the event was not accurate and was one-sided. Ultimately, the last installment of the series was moved to a different location, but library officials said it was because of a scheduling conflict.

Scheduling conflict? Don't you mean pressure from the Jewish Lobby?

Without addressing the Teach-ins directly, a spokeswoman for the consulate general said Tamir recognized the dialogue was occurring and wanted to help introduce Israel's perspective.

Translation=He needs to get in there and spread Israel's false version of events. Why bother, we can all go to the IDF website or the HUGE amount of Jewish Publications if we want the IDF version of events. Or, we could just watch FOX news!

Throughout February, the library hosted the first three meetings in a series of Palestine Teach-ins, hosted by Seacoast Peace Response and Palestine Education Network. Lawyers Asking Spanish Judge to Drop War Crimes Case

Some lawyers ( for Israel) in Spain are attempting to get the Judge to drop the case against Israeli war criminals stemming from another murdering spree in Gaza by Israel back in 2002. They are asking him to drop it because "war crimes" are already being investigated "in Israel" ROFLMAO. As if Israel can police itself, Puhleeese! The reason they are worried is that should a conviction take place them those murdering scum criminals can be arrested should they set foot outside of Israel. Spanish prosecutors seek to shelve Israel case

MADRID (AFP) — Spanish public prosecutors have asked a Spanish court to shelve a complaint against seven top Israeli military figures over a deadly bombing of Gaza in 2002, a judicial official said Thursday.

The prosecutors justified the move on the grounds that the alleged crimes against humanity in question are already the subject of a legal procedure in Israel, the source said.

Yeah, that's a really GOOD reason to drop the case. Israel a moral country that will offer up a transparent investigation and then punish their own. Anyone who believe that I have some swamp land to sell you.

They argued the complaint should be shelved "to avoid a duplication of proceedings" and to give "preference to the jurisdiction of the state where the facts occurred", the source added.

Tell you what, let them both go forward and we will see which one tells the truth. My money is on Spain!

Judge Fernando Andreu of the National Audience agreed on January 29 to pursue the complaint against former Israeli defence minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer and six senior military officials, sparking strong objections from Israel.

Spain assumes the principle of universal jurisdiction in alleged cases of crimes against humanity, genocide, and terrorism but only if the alleged crimes are not already subject to a legal procedure in the country involved.

It is now up to Andreu to rule on the request to shelve the complaint, which was filed by the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights.

The complaint concerns an Israeli air attack on July 22, 2002 on Gaza City which killed a suspected leader of the Islamist movement Hamas, Salah Shehadeh, along with 14 civilians, mainly children.

Some 150 Palestinians were also wounded, according to the complaint.

Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak had rejected the complaint as "delirious" and said he would do "everything possible to get the investigation dismissed".

Andreu's decision to pursue the complaint came just days after Israel's offensive against Hamas in Gaza, which according to Gaza medics killed more than 1,300 Palestenians, nearly a third of them children, and injured 5,300 others.

Whitewashing IDF Atmosphere of Brutality

Israeli military police have closed an investigation into soldiers' accounts of abuses committed in Gaza, saying they were based on hearsay.

An Israeli military college published the accounts, which included claims that soldiers fired on civilians and vandalised property.

The probe concluded that the stories were "purposely exaggerated".

"The climate in general... I don't know how to describe it.... the lives of Palestinians, let's say, are much, much less important than the lives of our soldiers," an infantry squad leader was quoted saying in reports carried in Israeli newspapers.

While academy director Dany Zamir told public radio that "[the testimonies] conveyed an atmosphere in which one feels entitled to use unrestricted force against Palestinians".

Testimonies, which were given by combat pilots and infantry soldiers, also included allegations of unnecessary destruction of Palestinian property.

"We would throw everything out of the windows to make room and order. Everything... refrigerators, plates, furniture. The order was to throw all of the house's contents outside," a soldier said.

Heavy civilian casualties during the three-week operation which ended in the blockaded coastal strip on 18 January have provoked an international outcry.

Controversial British MP George Galloway's request for an injunction to enter Canada has been denied by a Federal Court judge.

The decision prevents Galloway from appearing in person at an event in Toronto this evening, the first of three scheduled events in Canada.

The federal government has told Galloway he could not enter Canada because he allegedly engaged in terrorist activities.

In a letter to Galloway, the government says the MP delivered humanitarian goods to war-torn Gaza and gave $45,000 to Hamas, which is a banned terrorist organization in Canada.

On Sunday, one of the lawyers who made the injunction bid said Galloway gave money to the head of the government in Gaza, not to the head of Hamas, even though they are the same person.

Organizers of Galloway's speaking tour have said the Toronto speech, scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, would go ahead - either in person if he wins the court injunction, or via video if he loses.

Galloway speech will aid Hamas, group alleges

A Federal Court judge in Toronto has upheld a Canadian travel ban for outspoken British MP and antiwar activist George Galloway.

George Galloway's planned visit to Canada is not just a speaking junket, but a fundraising tour that would benefit the outlawed terrorist group Hamas, the Canadian wing of the Jewish Defence League alleged yesterday.

The controversial Zionist group cited a press release from Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights, one of Mr. Galloway's hosts, that said a Montreal event on Wednesday "will aim to raise additional funds for Galloway's Gaza aid caravan."

Meir Weinstein, national director of JDL, said he did not know if it was his March 16 letter, citing Mr. Galloway's own promotional material, that tipped the Conservative government to the visit.

Mr. Weinstein said he is primarily concerned with the fundraising, not the famously bombastic content of Mr. Galloway's speeches.

He said concerns over free speech made him feel "damned if you do, and damned if you don't." But he said he "can't accept being relegated to second rate status, that we don't have a right to object."

"We would oppose him speaking anywhere and we would oppose any apologist or supporter of Hamas," he said. "But whether or not the government would prevent that, I don't know. We're not taking a stand on the issue of free speech here... It's extremely dangerous what this individual represents."

Laith Marouf, branches coordinator for Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights in Montreal, said that for the JDL to accuse others of supporting terrorism "is like the pot calling the kettle black."

He referred to the FBI's description of JDL as "a violent extremist Jewish organization." Among other critics, the Southern Poverty Law Center calls it a "hate group," and denounces its "long history of bombing, assaulting and threatening its perceived enemies."

JDL's Canada wing was recently reformed under Mr. Weinstein after a period of inactivity.

Mr. Marouf said Mr. Galloway's aid caravan brought humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza, and did not support terrorism.

"That is what we are aiming to raise funds for," Mr. Marouf said, adding that the money would be given as a donation to the British charity Viva Palestina.

This charity, backed by Mr. Galloway, has said it raised around $2-million, largely as a result of public outcry at Israel's offensive there in January.

I find it rich that the ADL has the audacity to cite "terrorist" activity when people are making charitable donations for humanitarian aid to people who just suffered a holocaust committed by Nazi Israelis. This when the ADL has a legacy of being a terrorist group. They are just terrorists in suits, without balaclavas!

Travel ban upheld for outspoken British MP Galloway
Ruling leaves open the possibility that there could be a full hearing on whether Mr. Galloway can enter Canada at a later date. Barbara Jackman, who represented Mr. Galloway and his supporters, said she was disappointed with the decision.

"The court was asked to do something courageous, to defend free speech," said Ms. Jackman, who added that she is not aware of any other British MP ever being denied entry to Canada.

She indicated there may be a full hearing at a later date to decide if Mr. Galloway can enter the country in the future.
