Please Step In....And Assume The Position

Posted by Ban Sidhe at Irish4Palestine

Israel is well pissed off at the European Commission for telling the truth about Settlements and plans to give them a good spanking for this act of "defiance" and "Evil Truth Telling." The Commission reported the fact that illegal settlements make it virtually impossible for peace in the region. Their existence causes devastating effects on the Palestinian Economy, which in turn effects Palestinian residents. Best of all it was pointed out that it is the European Union that foots the bill for this, to the tune of 280 Million, no less! Israel's reaction to this statement is much the same as their reaction to the UN's War Crimes Investigations, Amnesty International's Investigations and all the others who find fault with the evil rogue state.

Israels reply was thus:

"Infamy, Infamy, They've All Got It In Fa Me"

For a REAL eye opener on the Settlements and the Myth about "Natural Growth" check out the vid after the article below:
Israel’s Foreign Ministry will seek a meeting with the representative of the European Commission over what the Israeli press called an “unusually harsh statement” on Israel’s settlement policy.

The statement, released Monday, said Israel’s settlement policy in the West Bank was strangling the Palestinian economy and forcing residents into aid dependency.

"[I]t is the European taxpayers who pay most of the price of this dependence," the commission said, including 280 million US dollars so far this year, because settlements prevent the PA from functioning normally. source

Clinton Falls~Breaks Arm

Wonder if Leiberman pushed her, or did she break it by battering it over his racist head perhaps LOL
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton fell and broke her elbow on Wednesday while en route to the White House but will resume her full duties soon as the top U.S. diplomat, the State Department said.

Clinton will have surgery to repair her elbow in the next week, her chief of staff Cheryl Mills said in a statement released overnight.

"On the way to the White House late this afternoon, Secretary Clinton fell and suffered a right elbow fracture. She was treated at The George Washington University Hospital before heading home," Mills said. link

Zionists Deported ROFLMAO

Every now and then, Egypt gets something right.

The 24 Brazilians were arrested Wednesday in Cairo by Egyptian authorities because they were allegedly carrying leaflets in Portuguese promoting Israel's Yisrael Beiteinu Party and encouraging Brazilian Jews to immigrate to Israel.

Yisrael Beiteinu, or Israel is Our Home, is the party of Israel's hard-line (Head Racist) Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who onces suggested that Israel threaten to bomb Egypt's Aswan Dam as a means of influencing Egyptian policy.

The Brazilians had just landed in Cairo on an Alitalia flight from Rome. The customs officials searched the travelers' 38 pieces of luggage and found brochures in 10 of the suitcases. Customs informed security forces.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is negotiating with Egyptian officials. The tourists' names have not been released and there has been no information about whethet they will be deported, according to the Brazilian newspaper O Globo. linky link

AND MORE HERE:

Egyptian authorities have arrested 24 Brazilian tourists upon their arrival in Cairo on suspicion of "spreading (Israeli Foreign Minister) Avigdor Lieberman's radical views."

Lieberman's recent statements have overclouded the relations between Israel and Egypt. The foreign minister did meet with Egyptian Intelligence Minister Omar Suleiman, but his counterpart in Cairo, Ahmed Aboul Gheit declared that he would not shake Lieberman's hand and that the Israeli minister would not set foot on Egyptian soil if he failed to change his views.

In the past, Lieberman called on Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to "go to hell" if he failed to visit Israel, and recommended bombing the Aswan Dam. linky link

RACISM RULZ~Nakba Anniversary Day

Well, you have to hand it to the Nazi Racist Lieberman, you always know what you are dealing with, an evil racist. His party wants to now "ban" all Palestinians from having any anniversary commemorations for the Nakba. It never happened, just a fabrication......Well, Ok then, how about Israel not having any for the "holocaust" it never happened either then, according to that very same logic. Well just who is the real victim here. This racist Lieberman, wants to actually jail for THREE years, any Arab who commemorates the Nakba.

Can you just for one minute imagine the American government passing a law that outlawed any African Americans from remembering or commemorating, or speaking of their Slave history. And then jailing them for three years? Forget about "Black Power" How about let's cancel Rosa Parks right out, never happened, add in Malcolm X, Stokley Carmichael "Kwame Toure" who's wonderful Mother "May Charles" was a friend and who once on a visit to Ireland in solidarity, when she was in her eighties, bless, stood up and said "I am a proud black Irish woman" Oh, and let's not forget about Martin Luther King and all his great work as well, never happened. Imagine America attempting to portray that no slavery ever existed, no Black person suffered racism or abuse, or had their civil rights violated. Imagine the American government supporting such actions now, today, and imagine the American government jailing any African American who dared to talk of slavery, abuse or racism in the history of America. Absurd!!!

I found the above racist propaganda online, notice a "theme" here? One is a racist vile "cartoon" about Black people, portraying the racist stereotype that every Black person is a potential Criminal, so all Black children should be jailed right after birth, before they become criminals. The second vile racist picture was taken from a shirt worn by the Israel army during it's genocide in Gaza. Same theme here, all Palestinians/Arab children should be killed whilst still in their mothers womb, because, after all, they are all potential terrorists, another racist stereotype.

See how insane this is, and moreover how racist Israel truly is? Today's racist article below:
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's party wants to ban Israeli Arabs from marking the anniversary of what they term "the Catastrophe" or Nakba, when in 1948 some 700,000 Arabs lost their homes in the war that led to the establishment of the state of Israel.

The ultranationalist Yisrael Beitenu party said it would propose legislation next week for a ban on the practice and a jail term of up to three years for violators.

The initiative could fuel racial tensions stoked by Lieberman's February election campaign call to make voting or the holding of public office in Israel contingent on pledging loyalty to the Jewish state.

Arabs, who make up 20 percent of Israel's population, said the allegiance demand was aimed at them and accused Lieberman of racism.

Israel celebrated its Independence Day this year on April 29, in accordance with the Hebrew lunar calendar. Palestinian refugees around the world and Israel's Arab citizens mark the Nakba on May 15, the day after the British mandate over Palestine ended in 1948.

In Ramallah, hundreds of Palestinians, some holding large wooden keys to symbolize the keys of homes from which they fled in 1948, took part in a rally.

"I came here to show that we believe that one day we will return. If not me, then my son," said Mohammad Hassan, 79.

The right-leaning government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which Lieberman's party is a key ally, has not endorsed the Western and Arab-backed goal of Palestinian statehood.

It also firmly opposes the division of Jerusalem and the right of return of Palestinian refugees, and Netanyahu recently introduced a demand that Palestinians, as part of any future peace agreement, recognize Israel as a "Jewish state". source
And just so you do not labour under the false pretense that it is only a handful of racists in Israel. Read this article Lieberman's anti-Arab ideology wins over Israel's teens, where you can witness a whole new generation of Liebermans, soon to grow up and take over the country. Notice their favorite slogans "Death to the Arabs" and "No loyalty, no citizenship" These are Leibermans new generation, his clones.

Time to extricate America from these parasites who take billions off your taxpayers annually and pull your country into wars for their benefit, not yours! The largest reason that America has such a low standing in world opinion rests directly on the shoulders of your continued support for a rogue state that practices racism, ethnic cleansing, murders at will, is in breach of over 60 UN resolutions, is armed with Nuclear weapons yet will not sign the nuclear non proliferation treaty, nor allow any inspections of its weapons. Would America allow any other country to do this? I doubt it. Expel the Israeli lobby in the form of ADL and AIPAC who control your politicians through bribes, threats and money before Israel drags you down so low you can't ever recover.

Remember the Nakba today

Lieberman The Racist Terrorist In England

Well, the Israeli poster child for racism has arrived in England to spread his unique brand of hate. Yes, the Racist Pig Faced Boy will meet with British Politicians, and of course, the "Jewish" Community, AKA fellow racist Zionists. True to form the normal people are holding protests against his visit

The Israel Beiteinu leader was set to meet Miliband on Wednesday morning at the Foreign Office in Whitehall in his first high-level meeting as foreign minister with a foreign government official.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman arrived in London on Tuesday afternoon as part of a fleeting visit to meet his British counterpart David Miliband.

A number of fringe anti-Israel groups have threatened to protest outside the Foreign Ministry.

One of the groups taking part called Lieberman a "neo-fascist". Quoting Haaretz journalist, Akiva Elder, the group said that when Jorg Haider joined the Austrian government, Jews around the world condemned it.

"If a Jewish politician who aspires to transfer an Arab minority across the border can sit in an Israeli cabinet, why should an anti-Semite not sit in an Austrian government?" Elder had said.

"Protest against UK visit by Israel's racist foreign minister," the call to join the demonstration said. "Join us to show our disgust at the government's willingness to meet with Israeli warmongers." (take note this report is from the pro-Israel paper the Jerusalem Post HERE
Ya know, it's almost worth the one hour plane ride over to England, just to watch his reaction when the Truth hits him.

The Asshat Speaks......Nobody Listens

Nazi Racist Lieberman is at it again........Telling the world Isra-Hell runs the USA, not Obama. I say we start a collection, give him a one way ticket to Mexico.
Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman assures the world of Tel Aviv's influence on the White House and any new peace initiative.

During his first comprehensive interview on foreign policy since taking office, Lieberman said the administration of US President Barack Obama would put forth new peace initiatives only if Israel wants it to.

"Believe me, America accepts all our decisions," he told Russian daily Moskovskiy Komosolets.

On the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, Lieberman repeated his criticism of a two-state solution as "a nice slogan that lacks substance." source
And HERE is Obama's reply.

Israel Looses Ability to Understand English

Moronic Israelis don't seem to understand english. Egypt said days ago Zionist Racist Nazi Lieberman is not welcomed in Egypt unless he changes his positions. Racist Lieberman has made vile remarks about Egypt and it's president in the past (as racists tend to do LOL) Yet, the Israelis cannot seem to grasp the meaning of the Egyptian statement. Sounds pretty clear to me!

report from Jpost-Israeli diplomatic officials aren't quite sure what to make of the Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit's comments that Cairo does not intend to work with his counterpart Avigdor Lieberman. Gheit said in an interview Wednesday with Russia Today TV that they are not dealing with Lieberman nor would he be welcome in Cairo unless his positions change.

"We don't know what it means at all," Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said over the weekend, concerning Gheit's remarks. "All we know is what he said (Wednesday). We still don't see how they are planning to work with Israel without the Foreign Ministry. We don't know what it means in point of fact."
The Egyptian foreign minister said in the television interview that they "are dealing with the government of Israel and not Lieberman."

But Lieberman's deputy Danny Ayalon downplayed Gheit's statement on Army Radio, arguing that the reality on the ground is more important than "paying attention to every statement" by Egypt.

He suggested that Gheit's statement about Lieberman might have been an attempt to "balance out" the embarrassment Egyptians have recently faced vis a vis "Islamic elements."

Egyptian officials have accused the Iranian-backed Hizbullah of organizing a cell in the country that allegedly plotted attacks against Egyptian and Israeli targets.

Ayalon also said that he spoke to senior Egyptian officials, who have promised him that Lieberman will be allowed to visit Egypt.

"I can promise you… that Foreign Minister Lieberman will visit Egypt," he said. "We will also receive Egyptian leaders here."

Lieberman has declined to comment on the statement and a spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry could not be reached.

On Wednesday, Gheit said that Lieberman "will not visit Cairo. He will certainly not visit as long as his positions remain as they are." A person must be aware that what he says has consequences, he said.

Gheit added that he "cannot imagine Lieberman setting foot on Egyptian soil as long as his positions remain as they are."

He was responding to a question about Lieberman's past comments concerning Egypt as well as the Israel Beiteinu chair's statement that Israel was not bound by the Annapolis commitments, a US-backed plan for Palestinian statehood.

Lieberman has strongly criticized Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak for never visiting Israel, except for Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin's funeral in 1995, saying he could "go to hell" if he did not want to come.

He also once said Israel could attack the Aswan Dam in the event of a war with Egypt.

Diplomatic officials would have to check in with the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv as well as the Israeli embassy in Cairo to seek further clarification on Gheit's statements, Palmor of the Israeli Foreign Ministry said.

"We'll have to see in the coming days what it really means," he added.

Zionist Racist Nazi Illegal Settlers Murder Palestinian

Israeli settlers have shot dead a Palestinian youth in the occupied West Bank where Tel Aviv continues erecting more illegal settlements.
Residents from Haggay settlement near the city of al-Khalil gunned down the yet unidentified Palestinian man on Friday morning after patrolling settlers caught sight of him walking outside an Israeli-military secured area.

Two settlers reportedly approached the man and struggled with him, prompting the Palestinian to produce a knife in self defense.

The Israeli news network Yedioth Ahronoth quoted a settlement official as explaining that one of the settlers "had a stoppage in his gun," and thus was unable to shoot the Palestinian, so "the other man neutralized the terrorist and killed him."
(I just love how the Zionist Nazi claims the Palestinian is the terrorist. These people are mentally ill. The Palestinian is on Palestinian land, stolen by Zionist terrorists, hence, the illegal armed settlers ARE the actual terrorists and should all be sentenced to death for murdering innocent people at will)

Israeli military officials immediately declared a state of alert in all West Bank settlements to prevent possible retaliatory attacks against the settlers.
(Because if a Palestinian is murdered, you can't fight back, you are only a Palestinian, and you are expendable, according to Israeli Nazi's)

The body of the Palestinian man has been handed over to Palestinian medics.

Nearly 280,000 Israelis live in Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and another 180,000 Israelis live in east Jerusalem (al-Quds) -- which was captured and later annexed by Israel following the 1967 Six-Day War.

Despite international oppositions against the Israeli construction activity in east Jerusalem -- which houses 2.3 million Palestinians -- and elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, Israel continues to force more Palestinians out of their homes to expand its settlements.

When the former Israeli government of Ehud Olmert entered into negotiations with acting Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas aimed at reaching a two-state solution, it vowed to halt the settlements activities in east Jerusalem.

However, hawkish Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman poured cold water on heated peace talks by ruling out the creation of a Palestinian state, shortly after assuming office.

Lieberman, who described the 2007 agreement for a two-state peace process reached in Annapolis as "valueless", has also rebuffed calls for freezing settlement activities in the Palestinian territories, saying Israeli concessions have only brought more violence. link

Israel Throwing Hissy Fit

Israel says: "You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us,You WILL recognise us, or else we won't negotiate for peace........one word "asshat"

Israel demands recognition

Israel's prime minister has told a visiting US envoy that the Palestinians must recognise Israel as a "Jewish state" before it will discuss establishing an independent Palestinian state.

Benyamin Netanyahu made the remarks as he met George Mitchell, the US special envoy for the Middle East, in Tel Aviv on Thursday.

"Israel expects the Palestinians to first recognise Israel as a Jewish state before talking about two states for two peoples," a senior official in Netanyahu's office quoted the new prime minister as saying.

Earlier, after meeting Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli foreign minister, Mitchell had repeated Washington's support for a Palestinian state.

"I reiterated to the foreign minister that US policy favours, with respect to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a two-state solution which will have a Palestinian state living in peace alongside the Jewish state of Israel," he said.

"We look forward also to efforts to achieving comprehensive peace throughout the region."

Right to return

Jacky Rowland, reporting from Jerusalem, said: "It hasn't taken Benyamin Netanyahu long to show his true colours.

"Before the government was sworn in we heard statements that sought to allay fears that this would be a very right-wing government ... but now we are starting to see him produce hoops for the Palestinians to jump through," she said.

"Basically, asking the Palestinians to recognise Israel as a Jewish state is asking them to waive the right of return for Palestinian refugees."

Palestinians demand the right for the 4.6 million descendants of those who fled in 1948 to return to their lands that are now inside Israel.

"The idea of any Palestinian leader giving up on that claim lightly is really quite unrealistic," Rowland said.

The Palestinian Authority has rejected similar demands in the past, saying it only recognises Israel within the country's borders before the 1967 Middle East war when the Israelis seized the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

One in five people still living in Israel are Arabs.

Abdullah Abdullah, head of the PLO foreign affairs committee, told Al Jazeera that the comments showed Netanyahu was not interested in negotiating.

"He only puts this condition to block, to sabotage, any attempt by the American envoy to move the peace process forward," he said.

Netanyahu has said that he wants any peace talks with Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, to focus mainly on security and economic issues.

'Dead end'

Furthermore, Lieberman, an Israeli nationalist, has flatly rejected a restart of the Israeli-Palestinian talks launched by George Bush, the former US president, in Annapolis in 2007.

On Thursday, the Israeli foreign minister, said that "the peace process has reached a dead end" and that "the new government will have to formulate new ideas and approaches," according to a statement from his office.

Israel committed itself to the principle of a Palestinian state under the 2003 international "road map" for peace, which included a series of steps for Israelis and Palestinians to follow, eventually resulting in negotiations over core issues and the creation of a Palestinian state.

Under the Annapolis agreement, the two sides began discussing those final status issues last year.

Mitchell was expected to travel to Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Friday to meet Abbas, who has insisted that the new Israeli cabinet commit itself to a two-state solution before the two sides can resume any talks.

The negotiations were halted during Israel's 22-day assault on the Gaza Strip, which left more than 1,300 Palestinians, mainly women and children, dead

Lieberman Bullshits Mitchell

I hope Mitchell took his "bullshit" meter with him to Israel, he's gonna need it!

Lieberman to Mitchell: Israel making efforts at economic improvement in Palestine

Special US Envoy for Middle East Peace George Mitchell met Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in Jerusalem Thursday morning, and stressed the American preference for a two-state solution, a statement from the US consulate said.

Describing his first meeting with the right-wing Lieberman, Mitchell said they two had “a good, full and candid discussion covering both the history of the process, going back to the 1990’s, and continuing to the present, and also looking into the future on what can be done to achieve our common objectives.”

In response, Lieberman “described the efforts being made to make economic improvements [in Palestine] and to get involved in other discussions with the Palestinians in the West Bank,” according to Mitchell.

For his part Lieberman stressed “that the traditional approach has so far brought neither results nor solutions,” according to an Israeli Government press release.

The Israeli FM also noted that his government will have to formulate new ideas and a new approach to solving the conflict with Palestinians, but that Israel will do whatever is necessary to improve their “economic condition.”

Egypt Gets One Thing Right

Egypt says will not deal with Israel's Lieberman

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit said Cairo would not deal with ultranationalist Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Israel's Channel 2 television reported on Wednesday.

"We will work with any proposal by the Israeli government but not through the Israeli foreign minister," Abul Gheit said in an interview with Russia Today television, excerpts of which were aired on Channel 2.

Lieberman stirred controversy last year when he said Hosni Mubarak could "go to hell" if the Egyptian president did not want to visit Israel. He once suggested Egypt's Aswan Dam might be bombed.

"Of course he will not visit Cairo as long as his positions remain unchanged," Abul Gheit said.

On his first day at the foreign ministry this month, Lieberman said the U.S.-sponsored Annapolis declaration of 2007 on peace with the Palestinians was no longer valid. "A person has to think about the consequences of the signals he sends from his brain to his tongue during speech and there have been consequences for Egypt," Abul Gheit said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose right-leaning government took office late last month, will meet Mubarak in Egypt in the near future, his office said last week.

Turkey "Talks Turkey" on I/P Conflict

I posted this because from a strategic view this article is dead on. The fellow, Robert Lowe, manager and researcher fellow on the Middle Eastern Programme of Chatham House gets it right.

If No Independent Palestinian State – No Peace With Israel

Azerbaijan, Baku,

Despite that the Palestinian-Israeli talks will continue, they will not bring to progress in the peace process if Israel refuses to recognize an independent Palestinian state.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu notified the President of the Palestinian Autonomy (PA) Mahmoud Abbas of the intention to resume the peace process to sign a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians, BBC Russian reported.

However, Netanyahu did not confirm support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state that is the basis for all international agreements on the Palestinian-Israeli solution source .

During the election campaign, he stated willingness to negotiate with the Palestinians, but said he considered premature to speak of establishment of a Palestinian state. Instead, he offered the Palestinians to cooperate in improving the economic situation on the West Bank and cease armed resistance of Hamas Movement.

However, Foreign Minister of Israel Avigdor Lieberman rejected the principles of the conflict solution, which were adopted at the conference in Annapolis and include the establishment of a Palestinian state, which is supported by the U.S. Administration and the European Union.

"For progress Israel has to take out the settlements (constructed on the West Bank), restrict the refuges," Robert Lowe, manager and researcher fellow on the Middle Eastern Programme of Chatham House, told Trend News in a telephone conversation. - The current Israeli government is unable to do this.

Abbas's consent to negotiate with the right government of Israel is aimed at weakening the rigid position of Hamas.

Abbas believes if he shows interest in negotiation with Netanyahu he would get the American support and probably the U.S. Administration will exert pressure on Israel, Muhammad Yaghi, commentator of Palestinian Al Ayyam newspaper, said.

However, this approach of the Palestinian leadership won't yield to anything.
"This will only make it easier for the Israeli government to convince the world that the peace process is on track while it continues building new settlements and expanding old ones, and isolating Jerusalem,"
Yaghi told Trend News via e-mail.

Hamas also estimated Abbas's dialogue with Netanyahu as a blow to the establishment of a national Palestinian state, Al Jazeera website reported.

"Netanyahu wants to be sure of the stability of Abbas's government to continue the negotiations - Frisch told Trend News in a telephone conversation. - Abbas has good experience in negotiation strategy, but Israel wants to remove Hamas [from internal policy of PA].

The pressure of the international mediators on the Israelis and Palestinians support the peace process, but this does not lead to progress.

"Palestinians are weaken and Israelis are divided - they need to overcome this for progress in the talks," Lowe said.

Lieberman a Racist? Dutch Say Almost

Lieberman on the brink of racism

The Netherlands' Labor party says economic sanctions must be imposed on Israel if its new government thwarts the peace process with Palestinians.

Members of the Dutch Labor party, which are part of the government as the country's second largest party, said they intended to write a manifesto on the matter to the foreign minister, Maxime Verhagen, from the centrist ruling Christian-Democratic Appeal (CDA) party, who is largely seen as a staunch supporter of Israel.

In an interview for Radio 1, Labor's Martin van Dam said his party insisted that Verhagen and the European Union take 'concrete' action including a call on Israel to accept Hamas as a partner for dialog. Van Dam also criticized Netherlands and the European Union for their decision to blacklist Hamas.

Van Dam went on to call Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman 'an extremist who is on the brink of racism', adding: "This is not a government with much prospect for peace."

Responding to calming statements attributed to Verhagen concerning Benjamin Netanyahu's new government, van Dam said: "The only one who thinks that the positions of the [new] Israeli government will not have any consequences is Maxime Verhagen."

Discussions on the matter between the cabinet and Labor's representatives in parliament are expected to continue this week.

Shock & Awe~Israel's Deputy FM Goes Deaf

I have come to the conclusion that Racists are deaf. Here's why;
The Yisrael Beiteinu party is the racist Zionist party of Avigdor Lieberman who is the Foreign Minister now, however, it appears that the Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon (same party) has suddenly lost his hearing and gone deaf. Either that, or he is suffering from a room temperature IQ, my guess is it's probably both. Anyone who listened to Obama's speech in Turkey would have clearly heard his reference to the Annapolis Agreement and his commitment to a two state solution. This was Obama's very CLEAR response, after Lieberman's insane rant where he claimed Israel does not have to adhere to the Annapolis Agreement. Haaretz takes this on below:

Deputy FM: Obama's Ankara speech did not favor Annapolis

Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon (Yisrael Beiteinu) said Friday that U.S. President Barack Obama's speech in Turkey earlier this week did not include any support for the Annapolis peace process, Army Radio reported.

Ayalon denounced calls which interpreted Obama's reference to the Israeli-Palestinian negotiation launched in Annapolis in 2007 as a warning against the policies of Israel's government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and against Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's statement that the new government was not bound by Annapolis understandings.

Speaking before the Turkish parliament on Monday, Obama said that he will "actively pursue" a two-state solution in the Middle East and reiterated the U.S. commitment to the Annapolis process.

"Let me be clear: The United States strongly supports the goal of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security," he said. A two-state solution "is a goal that the parties agreed to in the road map and at Annapolis," and that is "a goal that I will actively pursue as president."

(For my ears, you can't get any clearer than that, now can you?)

For his part, Ayalon said that "Anyone who bothered to pay close attention could see that Obama said nothing in favor of Annapolis."

(See what I mean there? Racists ARE deaf or stoooooopid!, or BOTH!)

"Actually, it's the other way around, he said that he hopes both Palestinians and Israelis are committed to the Road Map, as was stated in Annapolis," he added.

(Delusional nutter, someone should get him help.)

The deputy minister added that he "met American officials on Tuesday night, and things aren't quite the way they are portrayed in the newspaper articles, and I think that the Americans noticed the substantial statements made by Lieberman in his inauguration speech, according to which Israel was committed to all the previously ratified agreements, including the Road Map."

Racists are deaf.............

EU Calls for SUSPENSION of Israeli-EU Agreements

SNP Member of the European Parliament Mr Alyn Smith has reiterated his call for the EU-Israel Association agreement to be suspended in order to pressure the Israeli government to abide by the international commitments made towards the welfare of the Palestinian people.

The call came after Smith met in Brussels with Scots involved in the "Peace Cycle" initiative, which has seen young volunteers cycle from Amman to Jerusalem and yesterday delivered a 15,000 petition to the European Parliament calling for the suspension of the Association Agreement. Smith's call comes also in the light of comments made by Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman that Israel need not be bound by the Annapolis accords.

Smith said:

"Things are going from bad to worse in the Middle East, and the EU as a whole continues to send precisely the wrong signals to the increasingly intransigent Israeli government. At least Mr Lieberman does not pretend to have any regard for human rights, where a number of his predecessors have pretended to talk about peace while all the while undermining any chance of a viable Palestinian state at all.

"The EU has to recognise that the Israeli government is not a partner in peace, it is the primary opponent of it. Until we use our collective economic and political power to bring them to the negotiating table we will only continue to watch things go from bad to worse.

"When I visited Gaza, the West Bank and Israel I saw for myself the daily humiliations inflicted upon the Palestinian people, making the economy of Palestine a basket case, brutalising the population and in itself encouraging violence, which is then used to justify further aggression. I favour a two state solution but there has to be two viable states in the first place and the Israeli government is being permitted to undermine at every turn any chance the Palestinians have of establishing any viable economy.

"I commend the efforts of the Peace Cycle campaign, and certainly support their call for the EU to get real in our collective dealings with Israel.

"The phrase I heard from an Israeli peace activist in Haifa still rings in my ears; that "Israel must be saved from itself" is becoming more and more true with every day that passes. The EU must match the hand wringing and humanitarian aid with hard action to bring the Israeli government to account, and the only weapons we have at our disposal are economic ones." SOURCE

SMACKDOWN~Obama vs Netanyahu

Oooooooooooooooh, it's just like "thunderdome" two men go in, one comes out LOL, My money is on Obama!!Let the smackdown begin!

CAIRO — US President Barack Obama's team is engaged in preemptive discussions with Democratic congressmen in anticipation of a face-off with Israel’s new far-right government on the two-state peace solution.

"In an unprecedented move, the Obama administration is readying for a possible confrontation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by briefing Democratic Congressmen on the peace process,"

"The Obama administration is expecting a clash with Netanyahu over his refusal to support the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel."

Obama wants Netanyahu to honor all commitments made by previous Israeli governments.

Shortly after the hawkish premier refused to support the two-state solution, US administration officials held several meetings with Democratic congressmen.

They discussed disagreements with Tel Aviv over the peace process and creation of a Palestinian state.

"The preemptive briefing is meant to foil the possibility that Netanyahu may try to bypass the administration by rallying support in Congress," said Haaretz.

As the Obama team ready for a diplomatic face-off, many in Israel fear that the far-right government is destroying ties with their country's closest ally.

Yohanan Plesner, a lawmaker from the opposition Kadima party, is particularly concerned about comments by firebrand Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

"At such a sensitive time, when Israeli-US ties are about to be redefined, Lieberman is damaging the relationship and putting at risk America's commitment to supporting Israel," Plesner told Yediot Ahronot.

Since taking office only last week, Lieberman has repeatedly claimed that peace talks with Palestinians hit a dead-end.

"The elephant continues to run amok and there is no one to stop him," said Eitan Cabel, a lawmaker for the Labor Party, a member of the coalition government.

"It must be stopped now because the man's lack of control over his mouth causes irreparable harm." source

Psssst, Hey Israel, US Govt Says Knock it Off

well now Biden is chiming in, telling Israel they would be "ill advised" to attack Iran. This is starting to look like Obama may not be in the mood to play war games with israel.

Biden: New Israel would be 'ill-advised' to attack Iran

WASHINGTON (AFP) — US Vice President Joe Biden said Tuesday the new Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be "ill-advised" to attack Iran, but stressed that it was unlikely to do so.

"I don't believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu would do that. I think he would be ill-advised to do that," Biden said in an interview with CNN, when asked about possible Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

FRAUD CHARGES LOOM~Lieberman Going DOWN

Well it looks like Lieberman is going down! I thought there was something very "odd" about all of this. I wrote HERE that I thought this could be an effort to get rid of him as he will be too much trouble for the new Israeli Government. So I have to say "I told you so" LOL

Lieberman Questioned Again, Charges Likely

(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman was questioned for five hours on Tuesday, the third in less than a week as part of an ongoing police investigation. Police said on Sunday that Lieberman is likely to face charges of money laundering, fraud, bribery and breach of trust.

The new Foreign Minister, who also heads the Yisrael Beiteinu party, will face at least one more round of questioning before the case is closed. Once police gather enough evidence, they will turn the case over to the State Prosecutor's Office.

Law enforcement officials have told Israeli media that they have already gathered hard evidence to support the allegations against Lieberman. If government attorneys decide to indict him, the controversial Foreign Minister may be forced to suspend himself from office.

Peace Process "DEAD END" Racist Lieberman Says

I just made a post earlier about Obama's message to Israel when we spoke in Turkey today, he made specific comments regarding the US policy for a two state solution and referenced the former agreements. This is a clear message to the racist bigot Lieberman, who several days ago said Israel did not have to abide by the Annapolis agreement. So now the Racist Zionist fires back at Obama, saying the peace process is at a "Dead End" Obama needs to give these racist Zionists a HUGE wake up call, by cutting off ALL money, it's the only thing the worship. Stop the money NOW! Besides that money can be far better used by the millions of suffering Americans who lost their homes and jobs! Report below (also updated at end NEW info out!!)
Israeli foreign minister sees peace talks at "dead end"

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel's far-right foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, said on Tuesday that Western-backed peace efforts with the Palestinians had reached a "dead end" and Israel intended to present new ideas for diplomacy.

"There is definitely a regression here and we must understand and admit that we are at a dead end," Lieberman said in a speech to members of his Yisrael Beiteinu party. "We definitely intend to present new ideas."

Yeah, and these "new ideas" will be to create an even smaller "jail" for the millions of Gazans crembed into a small space because Israel keeps stealing land.

Lieberman's party is the second largest partner in the right-wing coalition government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which was sworn in last week.

The new foreign minister also said he did not "see the logic" in continuing negotiations over Palestinian statehood launched by the previous government of centrist Ehud Olmert.

"I don't understand the logic ... to skip directly to negotiations over a final agreement, to give up all our demands of the other side," Lieberman said.

UPDATED, this is hysterical, what a comedy!! Now Lieberman says he wants "foreign" powers (e.g. America) to butt out of Israels government policies. LOL............HELLO??? AIPAC, ADL, ZOA etc etc, I suppose Lieberman has no probs with Zionist groups interfering in American politics. And of course he had no probs with them smearing Charles Freeman, or pressuring Canada to ban George Galloway from speaking, all that is just "fine" as long as it suits Zionists. Check this rant by Lieberman out below:

Lieberman rejects foreign 'intervention' in politics
Mar 29, 2009

JERUSALEM (AFP) — Israel's hawkish new Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told foreign powers on Tuesday to stay out of Israeli politics, in an apparent reference to the flagging Middle East peace process.

"We have never interfered in the affairs of others, and we expect from others that they not interfere in ours," Lieberman told a meeting of his ultra-nationalist Yisrael Beitenu party.

(Um, hey Lieberman you asshat, can I just remind you of AIPAC, ADL, ZOA, JTF, and HUNDREDS MORE operating for your country IN America?? Oh and let us not forget Jonathan Pollard your spy in jail for life in the USA.)

"I do not expect from others that they have a stopwatch in hand and tell Israel when it must produce a responsible political programme," he added.

During a visit to Turkey on Monday, US President Barack Obama voiced renewed hope that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict could be resolved on the basis of a two-state solution, and urged leaders on both sides for "courage" to make peace. "I believe that peace in the Middle East is possible. I think it will be based on two states side by side," he said.

"In order to achieve that, both sides are going to have to make compromises. Now what we need is the political will and courage on the part of leadership," he added.

Obama & Palestine Put Pressure on Israel

After today's Town Hall Meeting in Turkey by Obama, where he reiterated the US policy for a two state solution in the Palestine/Israel conflict this was yet another message to Netanyahu's racist FM Lieberman that Annapolis will not be discarded. And if that's not enough for Israel's Zionist Neo-Nazi government; The Palestinians will not meet with Israel either, not until they agree to suspend building Jewish settlements to post-1967 Israel, accept previously signed agreements and agree to a two-state solution. So pressure from all sides on the racist rogue state of Israel. Signs of worry in Netanyahu's government, as now he claims they are " still reviewing" their policies LOL, translation="Oh Shit, we are going to have to make concessions" I hope Obama tells them how it's going to be.

Netanyahu ‘Still Formulating Policy’

Israel’s new government, headed by Binyamin Netanyahu, said it was still reviewing its policies after United States President Barack Obama articulated Washington’s adherence to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“The United States strongly supports the goal of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security,” Obama said in a speech in the Turkish parliament.

“That is a goal that the parties agreed to in the Road Map and at Annapolis, and that is a goal that I will actively pursue as president.”

Obama’s comments appeared to be in response to remarks made last week by Israel’s new foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, from the hawkish Yisrael Beiteinu party.

Lieberman said Israel was not committed to the Annapolis understandings, implying that he intended to set a new agenda at the Foreign Ministry.

The U.S.-sponsored conference in Annapolis in November 2007 outlined a two-state solution to the conflict.

Lieberman said the Annapolis conference had “no validity,” but stressed that Israel was still committed to the 2003 Road Map for peace, which also outlined a two-state solution.

In response to Obama’s comments on Monday, Netanyahu’s office issued a statement to say it appreciated Obama’s commitment to Israel’s security and the pursuit of peace.

“The Government of Israel is committed to both of these goals and will formulate its policies in the near future so as to work closely with the United States towards achieving these common objectives,” the statement said.

Obama is expected to visit Israel and the West Bank in June, en route to France, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported.

Analysts say a visit to the region so soon after the U.S. president takes office is a rare event and will serve to underline Obama’s dedication to realizing the two-state solution.

Obama’s special envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, is visiting the region next week to push forward the peace process.

Netanyahu is also facing challenges in Ramallah, which is apparently refusing to talk with the new Israeli government unless it demonstrates a willingness to make concessions.

“Senior Palestinian sources” told the Israeli daily Ma’ariv that any talks would be conditioned on Israel suspending construction of Jewish communities in post-1967 Israel, accepting previously signed agreements and agreeing to a two-state solution.

A meeting between Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud ‘Abbas will also not take place until these conditions are fulfilled, the sources said.
