STOP~Don't Help Those Disfigured People

What can one say? Every day it's the same thing, only the date changes. More doctors are being turned away by the Zionist Rogue State controlling the borders of Palestine. This time it's a team from France, including a highly respected plastic surgeon, who's aim was to help re-construct the lives of disfigured children. The disfiguring, of course, coming from the Evil Rogue State and Zionist Occupying Force that targets women and children civilians.

Israel clearly is not interested in having anyone "tamper" with their disfiguring results, or offer any assistance to these disfigured people. Israel likes to have their "handiwork" available for all to see, like some sick badge. A reminder to Palestinians that they reaped the benefits of a genocide for daring to hold a democratic Election in 2006, even the Evil Shrub Bush graced the television news programs touting how wonderful it was to see people exercising their democratic rights to vote. However, just like Iran, those "rag heads" voted for the wrong effing people, how dare they! (American sentiment there, NOT mine!)Anyway, like I said, same shite, different day:

Israel was yesterday criticised after it refused to allow a group of doctors on a humanitarian mission organised by the French government to enter Gaza.

The team, including three British medics, was turned back by Israeli border guards on Sunday and Monday. They say their mission is purely humanitarian, aimed to helping those in medical need, and some of whom were left injured and in need of surgery after Israel's attack on Gaza earlier this year.

One of the Britons refused entry to Gaza, Sonia Robbins, who is a reconstructive plastic surgeon, said: "I don't know why we are being refused permission to enter. "The consequences are that patients will not be operated on, children will have to wait until next time for surgery, and that won't happen until six months time. "I think it is unacceptable to refuse a humanitarian mission."

(Ah, but Sonia my dear, can't you see? Israel would first have to view the Palestinian people as somehow being "human" in order to feel any empathy for those disfigured children. And I don't think we can expect to see that any time in the near future, if ever. After all, Israel is a "Jewish" state, as such does not recognise anyone except themselves as victims)Here's more:

The mission is organised by the French doctor Professor Christophe Oberlin. His lawyer has sent a letter to the Israeli defence ministry, demanding an explanation, and wrote: "The purpose of their meeting was for the both teams, to hold activities together of medical consultation, surgery and teaching."

The letter says the denial of entry to the medical team amounts to Israel violating "the basic international humanitarian law principles, the obligations of Israel as the occupying power of the occupied territories, [and] its obligations under the international covenant of civil and political rights and the convention on the rights of the child." source

Tiny Country Raises BIG Money for Gaza

Wow, this is so great. Borneo has raised a whopping $1,136,711.60 for the
Palestine Humanitarian Fund, KUDOS to Borneo!

The Palestine Humanitarian Fund yesterday received another donation of $600 from the Mukim Mentiri Consultative council. The proceeds of the donation came from hiking activities to Mentiri Hill, which was organised by Mukim Mentiri Consultative council.

The donation was received by the Deputy Director of Community Development Department, Dyg Hjh Misnah binti Hj Bolhassan from Pengarah Hj Abd Rahman bin Hj Naim, Penghulu Mukim Menitri.

With the donation, the Palestine Humanitarian Fund has now collected $1,136,711.60, which includes contributions from SMS Brunei Prihatin. The Department of Community Development as the secretariat of the fund hopes that members of the public will continue to contribute further to the fund before April 13. source

Morocco to Reconstruct Hospital in Gaza

Bethlehem - Ma'an - Morocco has pledged to reconstruct the agronomy faculty of Al-Azhar University and the destroyed part of Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza.

Two agreements were signed on Thursday under the chairmanship of King Mohammad VI, the ruler of Morocco, according to a statement.

The first agreement, signed by director of the king's private secretariat, Mohamed Mounir Majidi, and the deputy chairman of Al-Azhar University, Youssef Joumaa Salama, provides for reconstructing the agronomy faculty of Al-Azhar University, which was destroyed during the Israeli assault on Gaza in February, to be paid by the king.

The second agreement, which was signed by Morocco's central bank governor, Abdellatif Jouahri, representative of the Palestinian Red Crescent, Younes El-Khatib, and director of Al-Quds Hospital, Khalid Jouda, provides for reconstructing the destroyed portions of Al-Quds Hospital.

The second project will be financed by the 33.57 million dirham (3.87 million dollars) donations made by the Moroccans in the bank account opened under instructions of the monarch, chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.

The financing of these two projects is part of Morocco's assistance to Palestine following the recent Israeli assault. The north African kingdom had sent emergency aid of medicines, foodstuffs and various supplies to the Palestinians.

Egyptian police have prevented four Irish containers with humanitarian aid from being delivered to Gaza. The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it is “actively engaged with the Egyptian authorities” to try and resolve the situation.

The four containers are part of a consignment of aid from Ireland, Britain and France which has been held up at the Egyptian port of Alexandria. The containers were filled by the Galway Palestine Children’s Appeal and the Cork Palestine Children’s Authority almost two months ago, following a public appeal.

Rafah Border Opened for Two Days

RAFAH, Egypt (AFP) — Egypt reopened its Rafah border with the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Wednesday for two days to enable students and the sick to cross, a security official told AFP.

"The border has opened for two days to allow the passage of Palestinian students and the sick who are stuck on the Egyptian side," the border official said, asking not to be named.

"Palestinian patients who finished their treatment at Egyptian hospitals and other humanitarian cases will be allowed to return back home," Egypt's official MENA news agency quoted Palestinian embassy official Mohammed Arafat as saying on Monday.

Foreign passport holders, students studying outside the Palestinian territories and humanitarian cases will also cross into Egypt, Arafat said.

RAFAH, Gaza Strip - British MP George Galloway arrived in Gaza Monday at the head of an aid convoy to protest Israel’s “genocidal aggression” against the Hamas enclave and support the Palestinian “resistance.”
The staunchly pro-Palestinian parliamentarian said he was ”overwhelmed with happiness” to arrive in Gaza on the birthday of the Muslim prophet Mohammed and in the wake of Israel’s massive offensive at the turn of the year.
“I have entered Palestine many times but the most emotional of these is after the 22-day genocidal aggression against the Palestinian people,” he told reporters, referring to the war that came to a halt on January 18.
He added that he planned to meet “the heroes of Palestine’s resistance, the government of Palestine, the people of Palestine.”

While waiting to cross in the Egyptian town of El-Arish near the border the convoy was vandalised and pelted with stones, according to organisers.
Galloway said Egyptian authorities had forced the group to send some of the aid into Gaza via Israel but that it was carried by the Egyptian Red Crescent and not accompanied by any of the convoy participants.
“I have never discussed anything with Israel in my life and I will not start now,” Galloway said.

On the attack in Egypt last night:

Several activists were injured Sunday after the attackers--claimed to be members of Palestinian Fatah faction--pelted the convoy with stones and vandalized some cars in the Egyptian town of El-Arish, 45 km south of the Rafah border-crossing.

"It's an absolute disgrace... The power was cut. During cover of darkness, members of our convoy were attacked with stones," according to Yvonne Ridley, one of the convoy organizers, who added: "Vandals also wrote dirty words and anti-Hamas slogans."

Convoy led by George Galloway, a British member of parliament--who previously called Hosni Mubarak, Egypt's president, an "international criminal" for not permanently-opening the Rafah crossing into Gaza--the Viva Palestina convoy has caused controversy in Egypt.

The lawmaker alleged that the Egyptian authorities did not protect the convoy despite promises. "They are blocking us inside, but they don't protect us." However, he agreed to meet with representatives of Mubarak's National Democratic party as he arrived in Cairo Saturday.

27/02/09 Native Americans, to Ireland, to Gaza~Paying it Forward

Ireland to Gaza, Here We Come!And a Remberance to the Native American Indians as well

Today I am proud of Ireland, and, dare I say England as well *grin* I just saw the latest report on the Television from our local news station covering the Tyrone lad who is on the convoy to Gaza. John Hurson and Barry McGuinness a couple of local lads from Dungannon organised people to donate, they even got someone to donate a lorry.

John left the North of Ireland on 13/02/09 headed to England to join up with the Viva Palestine convoy there. Today they are beginning to travel the length of Africa, before arriving in Egypt in about 2 weeks time. I have to say the news video I just saw, showing the massive response from people lining the streets in every country all along the way was breath taking! It will most likely take them extra time to arrive owing to the streets being lined with people all along the route cheering them on and slowing down the convoy. Truly amazing to see.Another thing that impressed me was the person who flew to London from New Orleans in the USA, upon arrival in London they will buy a truck, fill it with supplies for Gaza, and then join the convoy. This person knows what devastation is, they lived through Hurricane Katrina, now they are paying it forward with help to Gaza. God Bless them all!

I sincerely hope that Israel is seeing this display of support for Gaza, not from the convoy but the crowds lining the streets in each town the convoy passes through. Perhaps Israel will begin to see that they have no support what so ever, they have become nothing more than an evil aggressive rogue state.

AN EDENDORK man's great Gaza humanitarian adventure set off on Friday bound for the Middle East with a lorry load of aid donated by the people of Tyrone and beyond.
In fact the generous response was such that organisers John Hurson and Barry McGuinness had to stop accepting gifts because they could fit no more items into the lorry!

“The generosity has bowled me over and I know this, when I leave on Friday with everybody waving, I will bawl my eyes out!

“The magnitude of the journey hasn’t really hit me yet because there has been so much aid coming in. I just kept saying to people, ‘if only you could spend half an hour and see the heart that is in people’.

“They didn’t need to know what the politics are. They came with a heart to send something to the homeless people of Gaza And what generosity - a lorry donated to us by Rocwell, Strabane sending down 600 jerseys for kids, the Sligo County Board, Dungannon Swifts, Dungannon rugby - the list goes on.

“Over a thousand jerseys have been sent in. A couple of football clubs are meeting me in London to make a donation. Strabane gave me 600 full kits for kids. Gaza is going to look like Clones on a Saturday night!”

And just what inspired John to do this? The Native American Indians who sent aid to the Irish during the famine. Ok, now I’m bawling my eyes out as well John :)

“I am really motivated by a great story that took place during the famine. An Indian tribe heard about the famine and the whole nation walked hundreds of miles in order to send $710, a massive amount in those days, to help the needy in Ireland”
