Shalit~The Spin Stops Here

Perusing the news I see that nine(of 40 kidnapped) members of Hamas (the democratically elected government in Palestine) who are Lawmakers, not soldiers, are supposed to be freed by the Zionist Rogue State. This, no doubt in the run up to some deal for Shalit the POW. Yes, let’s call him what he is, a Prisoner of War. Something he would not be, but for the actions of Israel stealing land and attacking Palestine.

I digress, so back to today’s report of the nine lawmakers. I really have to laugh at this, here’s why; imagine this scenario in America. Let’s say American solders who are in Afghanistan, Iraq or very soon to be Pakistan (Remember "Blackwater"?? And you thought Cheney and Bush left the Whitehouse LOL, really!) the soldiers are there because of their government’s request. They are performing for their government, at the behest of their government, under orders from their government, they are “soldiers” doing soldiers work. They are not lawmakers in Washington; they are soldiers, two different jobs. So, continuing with this scenario, let’s say some members of the American army manage to capture a soldier from the opposing side. Then let’s say that the government of that country then orders their army to round up nine American lawmakers and kidnap them. Are you beginning to see the absurdity of this now? Are you picturing nine congressmen or nine senators being kidnapped from America, on American soil, and then jailed in another country because a soldier captured another soldier? I mean seriously, even Bush was not kidnapped or arrested for all of his lies and war crimes. But, one little IDF soldier is captured by the opposing army and all logic goes out the window. Israel then commits multiple crimes of kidnapping non-military lawmakers from the democratically elected Government of another country.

And if that’s not enough, they now EXPECT to be rewarded for releasing them, when they were illegally kidnapped non-combatant lawmakers. How’s that for Zionist logic! Here’s the story:
RAMALLAH, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Israel is expected to free nine Hamas lawmakers who have been arrested since the capture of an Israeli soldier in 2006, a local prisoner rights group said on Wednesday.

The nine members of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) are based in the West Bank and they have completed their 40-month detention sentence, said Ahrar center for prisoners' studies and human rights.

Israel arrested more than 40 members of the Hamas-dominated PLC in the West Bank in 2006 in response to the kidnapping of Israeli Corporal Gilad Shalit (and there you have the multiple kidnapping crimes committed by Israel for the capture of a soldier in a war!)

Twenty-five Hamas lawmakers would remain in custody while the nine legislators are freed, the center said in a statement sent to the media.(note that Israel will still illegaly hold on to the other 25 LAWMAKERS from the Palestinian government!)

Meanwhile, Hamas said its demands for freeing Shalit have not been changed. Hamas wants Israel to release more than 1,000 Palestinian and Arab prisoners in exchange for Shalit.

A senior Hamas source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the indirect talks to finalize the prisoners swap deal "is going on," adding "the deal would be finalized upon "what was declared on the first day of abducting Shalit."

The source refused to deny or confirm previous information saying that a prisoners swap deal "is expected before Moslems and Jewish holidays in late September."

However, the source said "the current talks are serious." link
Israel needs to release all the Palestinian prisoners who have been illegally kidnapped and imprisoned, then they can talk about Shalit.

Holocaust Indoctrination Coming to Gaza

If the Nakba is a lie to Israel, then the Holocaust is a lie to Palestinians.

The Zionist control of the UN is showing again. We have already seen nothing come of the hundreds of witnessed war crimes committed by Israel on its recent Gaza Genocide. But now we get to see another slap in the face to the real victims, the Palestinians.

As if starving and punishing an entire population was not enough, stealing the organs from dead and captured Palestinians, dropping white phosphorous on their heads, destroying their homes, schools and mosques, ethnically cleansing them from their own land, All of this is still not enough to satisfy the Zionist Criminal murderers.
Their UN lackeys now want to teach Palestinian Children about the Holocaust, INSIDE GAZA! Who gives them this right? To enter another country and teach the hasbara of the occupiers, murderers and enemy of that country. This is nothing more than another attempt to brainwash young Palestinians, in the hopes of making them feel some sort of compassion for their captors and occupiers. As if such a move can erase the images of death they have seen for years. Or explain why they die for lack of hospital parts, or go hungry for lack of food, or can’t fish in their own waters without being attacked by the Israeli navy.

Let Israel teach the Nakba to Israeli children in Israel. Then come and talk to Palestinians about teaching them the holocaust. Until then, no way can any sane person support such a one sided, clearly propagandist move by Israel and the UN. If the Zionists cannot accept the reality of the Nakba, then Palestine has the right to refuse acceptance of the holocaust. Report below:
GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas condemned the United Nations Sunday, saying it planned to teach Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip about the Holocaust -- but the U.N. agency which runs schools in the enclave would not confirm any change.

Branding the Nazi genocide of the Jews "a lie invented by the Zionists," the Islamist movement which runs the Gaza Strip wrote in an open letter to a senior U.N. official that he should withdraw plans for a new history book in U.N. schools.

A spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which educates some 200,000 refugee children in Gaza, said the Holocaust was not on its current curriculum. He would not comment on Hamas's statement that it was about to change.

Palestinians resent the way world powers reacted to the Holocaust by supporting the establishment of Israel in 1948, a move that left half the Arab population of then British-ruled Palestine as refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and abroad.

Hamas said it believed UNRWA was about to start using a text for 13-year-olds that included a chapter on the Holocaust.

In an open letter to local UNRWA chief John Ging, the movement's Popular Committees for Refugees said: "We refuse to let our children study a lie invented by the Zionists."

UNRWA spokesman Adnan Abu Hasna said: "There is no mention of the Holocaust in the current syllabus." Asked if UNRWA planned to change that, he declined to comment.source

Israel Builds West Bank Tunnels~33 of them

33 Zionist tunnels throughout the West Bank

- A Palestinian expert on settlements and land revealed that the Zionist entity plans to build a 33 tunnel in different sections throughout the West Bank, as a prelude to division of the West Bank into eight Palestinians cantons are not linked to each other than bypass streets or tunnels controlled by the occupation army.
A member of the General Committee for the Defense of the lands, Abdul Hadi Hantash, said that the plan was actually implemented in the town of Qalqilya, northern West Bank, and in villages west of Jerusalem, where the tunnel of “Baddo” town is the only outlet for a number of villages inhabited by about 50 thousand citizens.

In an interview on Aljazeera net, Hantash said that through the tunnels one soldier can close the entire region, indicating that the occupation implement the plan gradually without a formal announcement of this so as not to allow an opportunity for the Palestinians citizens to object to such plans.

The villages of the north and the west of Jerusalem are a living example for the plan unveiled by Hantash. The fate of around 50 thousand Palestinians subjects to a tunnel set up by the occupation as an outlet to these villages and linking them to the city of Ramallah.

And all the villages of Baddo, Al Qbibah, Beit Sourik, Beit Daqqo, Beit Ijza, Beit Anan, Katana, Beit Iksa, and the Prophet Samuel follow the city of Jerusalem, but because of the possession of the West Bank identity, the occupation authorities separated them from the city by the segregation wall. source

Israel Retaliates~No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

How dare the Catholic Pope not follow orders from Israel. Several days ago Israel attempted to block the Pope from visiting a Palestinian refugee camp. The Pope refused to be pressured and went anyway, you can read about that here. Today this report comes out, Israel is now going to demolish portions of a Catholic church where Vatican members stay when visiting the Church , but get this, Israel does not own the land. Belgium owns the land, but hey, when does Israel respect land ownership…….. Story below.

Jerusalem – Ma’an – Orders have been made to demolish a two-floor addition to a monastery and church in the Old City of Jerusalem, Aide for Jerusalem affairs Hatem Abdul Qader reported on Wednesday.

The orders were made by the Israeli municipal government of Jerusalem, and target structures such as a two-story addition to the Armenian Catholic Church. Clergy from the order have requested help in fighting the order.

The addition was built to house religious figures visiting Jerusalem from Vatican City. The 150-year-old structure is built on land owned by Belgium's monarchy.source

Jews Leaving US for Israel

It's the economy stupid! Here is the bright side to the US economy situation; Zionists are returning to Israel, from whence they came.

and take AIPAC with you........

Economic crisis prompting Israeli expats to return home

TEL AVIV (JTA) -- When Oded Salomy and his family first left Israel for the United States, they planned to move back after a few years of career building. But life was good, and it quickly became easy to delay the return home.

Then the economic crisis hit, giving them an extra nudge to go back to Israel.

Now celebrating his first Independence Day in Israel in five years, Salomy marvels at the relative ease of the transition from suburban New Jersey to suburban Tel Aviv.

“I feel great here," he said. "I definitely feel it was the right move both for me as a person and as a family.source

US to Suspend Intelligence to Israel & MORE

PEACE IN PALESTINE WITHIN FOUR YEARS???
Stephen Walt says so in Dossier created for Obama.

This little (BIG) story is bouncing around the web. It emanates from geostrategy-direct site, which is a members only page sign in. However, a handful of pro-Israel sites have gotten a hold of some of the information and it’s starting to take off. Additionally Hanan Ashwari over at MIFTAH has posted it as well. Evidently Stephen Walt, has written a dossier "Can the United States Put Pressure on Israel: A User's Guide." for the Obama Administration calling on the US to suspend all intelligence and military dialogue with Israel. Yes, you read that correctly. He outlines a way for Obama to deal with Israel in a way that excludes having to go through Congress (Owned by AIPAC) sounds like a PLAN to me!!

Pro-Israel sites are starting to go postal about this. Here is what I have been able to find so far:

DOSSIER: Stephen Walt

Obama advised to suspend intelligence, military dialogue with Israel

A leading ally of President Barack Obama and critic of the Israel lobby in the United States has outlined a proposed U.S. campaign to pressure Israel that would suspend the intelligence dialogue between the two countries.

Stephen Walt, a U.S. professor of international affairs at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, who co-authored with John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago a controversial study on the Israeli lobby in the United States, has drafted recommendations for the Obama administration to pressure the new Israeli government of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to accept a Palestinian state in the West Bank.

Walt, regarded as influential in the U.S. diplomatic community, said the campaign should begin by administration criticism of Israel and support for United Nations resolutions that condemn the Jewish state.

"U.S. officials could even describe Israel's occupation [of the West Bank] as 'contrary to democracy,' 'unwise,' 'cruel,' or 'unjust,'" Walt wrote in the U.S. magazine Foreign Policy. "Altering the rhetoric would send a clear signal to the Israeli government and its citizens that their government's opposition to a two-state solution was jeopardizing the special relationship."

Netanyahu was scheduled to fly to Washington to meet Obama in May 2009. But on April 16, the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot reported that Netanyahu was expected to cancel his visit amid an assessment that Obama would refuse to meet the Israeli prime minister.

"Within four years there will be a permanent settlement between Israel and Palestinians," White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was quoted by Yediot as saying. "We don't care who the prime minister is."

Walt's report, titled "Can the United States Put Pressure on Israel: A User's Guide." marked the latest recommendations to the Obama administration to revise U.S. policy toward Israel.

In March 2009, a report by a bipartisan panel of foreign policy analysts called on the White House to pressure Israel as part of an effort to resolve the U.S. conflict with the Arab world.

Walt warned against any immediate attempt by Obama to reduce the $3 billion in annual U.S. military aid to Israel. He said this would result in a battle with the Democratic-controlled Congress. "There's a lot of potential leverage here, but it's probably not the best stick to use, at least not at first," Walt said.

"Trying to trim or cut the aid package will trigger an open and undoubtedly ugly confrontation in Congress -- where the influence of AIPAC and other hard-line groups in the Israel lobby is greatest. So that's not where I'd start."

But Walt urged Obama to reduce U.S. strategic cooperation with Israel. He said the administration could suspend the dialogue between the Israeli and U.S. intelligence communities as well as that of the Israeli military and the Defense Department. "Today, such a step would surely get the attention of Israel's security establishment," Walt said.

Walt also recommended that the United States reduce its procurement of Israeli defense equipment, another step that would not require congressional approval. Israel has sold a range of armor, munitions and platforms deployed by the U.S. military in Afghanistan and Iraq.

"Obama could instruct Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to slow or decrease these purchases, which would send an unmistakable signal that it was no longer business-as-usual," Walt said. "Given the battering Israel's economy has taken in the current global recession, this step would get noticed too. And most of these measures could be implemented by the Executive Branch alone, thereby outflanking die-hard defenders of the special relationship in Congress."
Sounds like a plan to me!!! Knock me over with a feather if Obama does this. If, and I say this cautiously, If he does, then I’m gonna be owing Obama a serious apology. link to the dossier is HERE

Islamic Jihad Strikes at Israeli Military

Gaza – Ma’an – The armed wing of Islamic Jihad said it attacked Israeli military forces near the Nahal Oz military base in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday night.

The Al-Quds Brigades said in a statement that it used rocket-propelled grenades, mortars, and machine gun fire in the attack.

The group said the ambush was “in response to the continued aggression against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and an affirmation of the choice resistance."

The Israeli military did not confirm the events.

Boat Explodes Near Israeli Navy Ship

Gaza - Ma'an - A booby-trapped fishing boat exploded near an Israeli navy ship near the Gaza Strip coast on Monday, according to Israeli sources.

There were no injuries in the blast, which occurred after Israel's navy opened fire on the ship about 300 meters from the coast, Haaretz reported.

The ship was apparently carrying explosives, but no one was on board.

According to Gaza fisherman Nizar Ayyash, the small boat exploded after Israeli forces opened fire on it at sea; no injuries were reported in the strike.

Others in Gaza earlier said they had heard a "massive explosion" out at sea, but did not immediately know the cause.

UPDATED Female Palestinian Prisoner Expelled to Gaza

UPDATED Palestinian Minister of Civil affairs Hussein Ash-Sheikh managed to obtain a permit from Israel to allow Ash-Sheikh to travel to the West Bank on Monday.

original story below:
After SIX years in an Israeli Jail,Sherin Sheikh Khalil, a female prisoner from the West Bank is expelled to Gaza, never to return to the West Bank. Amazing, Israel controls which part of a country a native resident of that country can live in. Israel is a true racist apartheid statelet, not a democracy but an theocracy, only Jews have full rights.

Released West Bank prisoner arrives in Gaza

Sherin Sheikh Khalil, the released West Bank Palestinian female prisoner arrived on Sunday in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip after spending six years in Israeli jails.

Sheikh Khalil crossed into the Gaza Strip through Erez Crossing between northern tip of the enclave and Israel, as she expressed mixed feelings of happiness and sadness after she was released.

"I'm happy because I was freed from prison but I'm sad because there are thousands of prisoners are still eager to smell the fragrance of freedom," she said as she was received by her mother and relatives.

Sheikh Khalil is basically from the West Bank where her father, brothers and sisters live, but her mother, who was waiting for her near the borders with Israel, is from Gaza.

"I'm so glad to meet my mother in Gaza, and I feel so sad because I wasn't able to see my father and my brothers," she said with tears as she hugged her mother. "I hope I can get back to the West Bank one day."

The Israeli prisons' authorities informed Sheikh Khalil one day before her release that she will be expelled to Gaza. Over the past five years, Israel has expelled more than 30 released people from the West Bank to Gaza.

"Gaza and the West Bank are one unity and both are the homeland of all the Palestinians. I admit I was sad when I was told that I will be expelled to Gaza, but I'm still happy and satisfied to be here with my people," said Sheikh Khalil. source

Smoke & Mirrors~Israel & Egypt Shift Focus to Lebanon

It's the old game of "shift the focus" or divert attention elsewhere. Notice how recently all the reports coming from the Middle East are regarding Hezbollah, Egypt and Israel? Wonder why? Answer below:

Israel targeting Lebanon elections: Iran

Iran says the Israeli-led smear campaign against Hezbollah leaders is designed to subvert the upcoming parliamentary elections in Lebanon.

Iran Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani said Sunday that the recent demagogy against the Hezbollah Resistance movement is an "outdated game plan" which aims to impinge on Lebanon's June 7 parliamentary elections.

"[Egypt] intends to divert international attention from the plight of Palestinians in the wake of Tel Aviv's three-week war on Gaza," said Larijani, only days after Cairo arrested some 50 people for offering logistical help to the war-hit Palestinians in Gaza.

Cairo recently accused the resistance forces of masterminding a slew of attacks inside Egypt. Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah instantly dismissed the accusations out of hand.

"I fully reject and deny all charges that Hezbollah was intending to launch an act of aggression in Egypt or at any other part of the world," said Nasrallah, confirming that at least one of the 49 detainees belonged to Hezbollah.

Egyptian officials have also branded Nasrollah as an 'Iranian agent' who seeks to spread 'Shia ideology' throughout the region. Larijani rejected the idea as "utterly absurd."

Egypt and its Arab allies are wary of the growing popularity and influence of both Hamas and Hezbollah in the region.

Hezbollah, in recent months, has sharply criticized the Cairo government for keeping the Rafah border-crossing closed in the face of the daunting humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

Rafah is the only escape route from Gaza which bypasses Israel.

WARNING to Israel~More Axe Attacks Will Come

Well Israel, what do you expect? People will fight back and resist way they can. As long as you live on stolen land, your army defends armed illegal settlers against unarmed Palestinians, you murder Palestinians at will, then you can expect nothing less.

A Palestinian organization calling itself the Army of Palestine Fighters threatened on Friday to strike Israeli interests “anywhere in the world.”

The group said its future attacks would be “in response to the attacks carried out on Palestinians in the West Bank, particularly the Hebron village of Safa, Jerusalem, Gaza, and those inside Israel.”

The group added in a statement that [Israeli Chief of the General Staff Gabi] Ashkinazi’s threat to carry out a new strike on Gaza is evidence of their failure in the face of the steadfastness of the Palestinians.”

The group had previously claimed responsibility for the axe attack on the illegal Israeli settlement of Bat Ayin, which left an Israeli teenager dead and a seven-year-old boy seriously injured source

US Jewish Leaders Angry at Obama~Oh Well

The first US Presidential Seder in History, and the reaction of the US Jewish communities leaders are, well, a picture is worth a thousand words they say:

They all expected to be invited, so now they are angry. And, there is stirring in the Zionist circles that the Seder is to soften the Zionists up, before Obama sticks it to Israel on the peace process. Let's all hope so!

Jewish leaders are miffed as to why they weren't invited to tonight's White House seder, the first on record that will be attended by the U.S. president. Wrote a staffer who sought to remove the dinner from the official White House schedule, "Apparently Jewish [sic] here and in neighboring states are now calling wondering why they have not been invited.”

The email was accidentally released by a sleepy staffer, the White House said. The Obamas are keeping the seder traditional, ie, intimate, with prominent Jewish staffers Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod skipping the event to spend the holy feast with their families, Politico reports. Still, proving that there is little President Obama can do these days without attracting some controversy, Jewish leaders aren't just mad over not snagging an invite.

According to the National Review's Tom Gross, "Many in Israel fear that Obama’s Passover meal may be a stunt designed to soften up Jewish Democrats for what are likely to be some strong differences with the new Israeli government." source

Angry Over Boycott~Zionist Lobby Strikes In England

Tesco criticised for Israeli goods boycott hotline

Tesco has come under fire from the pro-Israel lobby after setting up a customer helpline option for people to complain about it stocking Israeli products.

A recorded message told callers ringing its general customer services number: "If you are ringing regarding Israeli goods, please press one."

The supermarket said it set up the line, which is no longer available, in anticipation of a high level of calls after the Palestine Solidarity Campaign called for a boycott of Israeli goods and urged its supporters to phone Tesco and Waitrose on 30 March about their stance on selling Israeli and Israeli settlement produce. Tesco insisted it had not meant to cause offence and said it apologised if any had been taken.

Anyone choosing the option, which was designed so customers with other queries would not find the line clogged, would have been put through to specially briefed call centre staff, the chain said.

Jonathan Hoffman, the Zionist Federation co-vice-chair, said Israel had been made a scapegoat, the Jewish Chronicle reported. "The risk is that supermarkets will say it's too much of a problem to stock Israeli goods," he told the newspaper.
(God I hope so, stop selling Israeli goods!!!)

A Tesco spokesman said: "We were made aware that a campaign group had asked supporters of its specific cause to call supermarkets. In order that any caller could be directed to an appropriate customer services operator, a call option was added to the usual menu.

"Our only aim was to be helpful, and if we have caused anybody offence unintentionally, we apologise."

2nd Aid Convoy Arriving Soon in Gaza

Italy and Scotland taking up the reins after the successful Viva Palestina convoy led by George Galloway into Gaza. Story below:

Two solidarity convoys will arrive in besieged Gaza Strip via Egypt in the coming three weeks, a Palestinian official in Gaza reported.

According to Adel Zu’rub, the spokesperson of the official anti-siege committee in Gaza, the first convoy, led by Scottish lawmaker Pauline McNeill, will arrive next Tuesday via the Rafah border crossing. The convoy is carrying medical supplies.

A second 100-vehicle convoy will set out from Milan, Italy, travelling to Alexandria, Egypt, by boat and then continue to Gaza, aiming to arrive on 3 May. The Italian effort is also carrying medical supplies. source

Jewish Paranoia a Must Read

Paranoia is a social disease — you get it from screwing other people.

This is SUCH a great post by by Dr. Paul Balles over at Pacific FreePress he sums up waht we all know only too well. Israel is suffering from a severe disease called "paranoia" a must read!

A pressing problem: paranoia and power

Today, America is involved in an illegal "war" and a pre-emptive pregnancy. Everyone now knows that the invasion and occupation of Iraq were, and still are, based on a fraudulent attempt to capitalize on 9/11.

Everyone (who pays attention to politics) knows that the WMD excuse for invading Iraq was a fraud, making the entire murderous exercise even more illegal than a defensive war would be.

The only thing America and the UK were defending by invading Iraq was the vague possibility that sometime in the distant future Iraq, under Saddam Hussain or another leader like him, could pose a WMD threat to Israel.

Let's face it, Israel is paranoid. According to Canadian Mordecai Richler, Jewish paranoia has become a natural phenomenon. As he expressed it, "Coming from Canada, being a writer and Jewish as well, I have impeccable paranoia credentials."

Many will argue that Israelis have a perfect right to be paranoid based on their experiences with persecution and genocide. However, that does not give Israel the right to exercise their paranoid reactions against Gaza or transmit its national disease to America.

Now, out of the same paranoid delusions toward Iran as it had toward Iraq, Israel makes continued efforts to goad and provoke America into engaging in a war with Iran. America resists (or pretends to), giving itself the excuse of trying to approach negotiations with Iran, but finding Iran uncooperative.

According to mental health experts, “paranoia is incurable. The best course is to discharge the patient for the sake of the supporter’s health.” In short: leave Israel to its sickness. READ THE REST HERE

MUST READ~ What if YOU were a young Palestinian?

All I can say is this op-ed in the Daily Mail by Andrew Alexander is a MUST READ! Although I do not agree with his use of the phrase "terrorist" in the context that he uses it. I believe the state of Israel is a terrorist state, the sad fact that it is a "state" does not make it incapable of being considered as a "terrorist"

Anyhow, the op-ed piece is below:

The easiest thing to do with terrorists is to rage at them. Or to declare, mindlessly, that we must strengthen 'the war on terrorism'. Both are moral self-indulgence and mental idleness.

Suppose that you are a young man living in Gaza, dominated by refugees or their descendants whose original homeland was what is now Israel. You may well have been brought up on stories, sometimes exaggerated, of a home where your forebears lived in security.

With squalid conditions in the refugee camps and little hope of good education or employment, your frustration and rage is easily directed at Israel, the U.S. as its relentless backer and probably us, too, as Washington's poodlelike allies. Or maybe you live in the West Bank, once part of Palestine. Since the 1967 war, Israel has left the West Bank littered with 600 checkpoints which divide even families.

This side of the border you will see ever-growing Israeli settlements. The details of the sheer illegality and subterfuge involved are readily provided by the protesting Jewish organisation Peace Now (peacenow.org).
Our young Palestinian will also remember so painfully Israel's punitive expedition against Gaza supposedly to crush the governing party, Hamas, whose military wing launched sporadic, but not very effective, rockets on Israel. Yet this only begins to touch on the millions in the Middle East with deep grievances.

Significantly, Hamas and Hezbollah had electoral triumphs following Israeli attacks. In Afghanistan, refugees from the Taliban have had to face returning to a land where the seven-year war against the invader has reinvigorated that awful organisation. Throughout the Middle East, tales can be heard of relatives or friends who have fallen victim to the U.S. and its allies, including Israel, over recent decades, often accompanied by grim details about trigger-happy U.S. troops, ideal villains.

Our young man in Gaza or the West Bank grows up dangerously full of frustration and anger. His religion seems a stabilising force in an unstable world.

Those with deep grievances, actual or inherited, number many millions. Just think about the scale of this. There are about 300 million Muslim Arabs (plus Iran). Pakistan, now being drawn into the conflict, adds many more.

If only a tiny fraction takes the Jihadist path, we face a formidable and, alas, growing host. Can we be surprised that Islamic extremists find no difficulty in recruitment?

We are very stupid - as stupid as Chamberlain at Munich - to ignore the scale or nature of the menace.

There will be no curb to terrorism until we stop waging wars on Muslim countries and, even more, until the problem of the Arab-Israeli conflict is ended or at least ameliorated.

Washington holds all the levers. It is the source of huge economic and military aid to Israel. President Clinton nearly achieved a settlement, but was balked at the last moment by the then Palestinian leadership.

At least he tried. Other presidents have declined to pressure Israel into the necessary concessions and Britain's efforts has amounted to little more than pious pleading.

Of course, the Zionist lobby in the U.S. and elsewhere is powerful. In the American case, Jewish Zionism is augmented by various Evangelical Churches that excitedly grasp at the state of Israel as fulfiling Old Testament prophecies.

In the propaganda battle here as in the U.S., Zionists are adept at playing the anti-semitic card, so familiar to fair-minded journalists. The BBC in particular is easily scared.

Developments within Israel are grim. Its crazy system of proportional representation gives every loony some power in coalition governments. Hence we have the notorious extremist Avigdor Lieberman in the post of Foreign Minister.

Israeli organisations such as Peace Now, which once organised a 400,000-strong demonstration against the Lebanon intervention in 1982, face an uphill battle. Yet the chance for peace does not depend on Israeli political manoeuvring.

President Obama has the real, unquestionable power to impose a settlement. How hard he tries affects everybody, particularly us. SOURCE

Israel NOT Invited to Peace Conference

A Palestinian negotiator on Tuesday said Israel can not be invited to an international peace conference planned to take place in the near future in Moscow.

"Some players like Israel can not be invited to Moscow conference because it denies all the political references and wants to continue building settlements," said Yasser Abed Rabbo, amember of the Palestinian negotiation team.

The PNA mainly blames the continuation of settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem for the stillness of the negotiations. The two territories would form most of the future statehood.

The prospect of the peace talks waned after a new rightist Israeli government took office with its firebrand Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman focuses on making peace with the moderate Arab countries rather than the Palestinians.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is on a visit to Russia, was told that Moscow was looking at the possibility of combining the Middle East conference with U.S. President Barack Obama's visit in July. source

Hey America, Don't Think You Have a Zionist Problem??

Hello America, the US Zionists are at it again, you have subversive groups, within your borders, loyal to another country working against your President. Would you allow British, French,German, or Arab control of your country? Well you are allowing Israel to control America and it is working against what is best for America. Cut these people loose. Support your President and your country, expel them if they are working against America's policies and also attempting to free a man who spied on the USA and was convicted of this HERE And so far as Israel being a "friend" to America, if the spy is not enough to convince you, then remember the USS Liberty and then read this:

Don't Give in to Pressure for a PA State

In a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, the US-based National Council of Young Israel (NCYI) urged him to reject global pressures to agree to a Palestinian state. The organization also called for action to obtain freedom for imprisoned Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard

The April 1, 2009 letter, released to the press on Monday, was signed by Shlomo Z. Mostofsky, Esq., President of the NCYI, and Rabbi Pesach Lerner, its Executive Vice President. The NCYI represents over 150 Orthodox synagogues throughout the United States and Canada, with another 50 congregations in Israel affiliated with its sister organization, Yisrael HaTza'ir.

The NCYI leaders referred to unnamed "external forces" that "may call upon you to take a conciliatory approach towards the Palestinians," adding, "[We] implore you to stand firm and reject any pressure to accede to calls for the creation of a Palestinian state. We believe that an independent Palestinian state would merely compound the complex problems that currently exist and open the door to a new wave of acts of terror directed at innocent Israeli civilians."

As for the Israeli agent in American hands, Mostofsky and Rabbi Lerner further said, "[We] hope that when you meet with President Obama, you will directly ask the President to commute Jonathan Pollard's prison sentence. ...It is time to set Jonathan Pollard free and send him home to Israel."
(No, it's time to STFU and throw away the key and let him serve his LIFE sentance!!)

Obama May Allow Iran's Nuclear Ambition to Continue

And why not? They have the right to develop Nuclear energy just like everyone else does.

Bush had such hypocrisy attacking Iran for refusing to comply with UN resolutions on the development of its nuclear program while never mentioning Israel already has nuclear weapons and refuses to bring them under international control or scrutiny.

US may cede to Iran's nuclear ambition

US officials are considering whether to accept Iran's pursuit of uranium enrichment, which has been outlawed by the United Nations and remains at the heart of fears that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons capability.

As part of a policy review commissioned by President Barack Obama, diplomats are discussing whether the US will eventually have to accept Iran's insistence on carrying out the process, which can produce both nuclear fuel and weapons- grade material.

"There's a fundamental impasse between the western demand for no enrichment and the Iranian demand to continue enrichment," says Mark Fitzpatrick, a former state department expert now at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. "There's no obvious compromise between those two positions."

The US has insisted that Iran stop enrichment, although Mr Fitzpatrick notes that international offers put to Tehran during George W. Bush's second term as president left the door open to the possible resumption of enrichment.

"There is a growing recognition in [Washington] that the zero [enrichment] solution, though still favoured, simply is unfeasible," says Trita Parsi, president of the National Iranian American Council. "The US may still have zero as its opening position, while recognising it may not be where things stand at the end of a potential agreement."

Yesterday, Mr Obama summarised the US message to Iran as, "Don't develop a nuclear weapon" - a form of words that would not rule out a deal accepting Iranian enrichment. Mr Bush was much more specific in calling Iran to halt enrichment.

Asked last month whether the administration was considering allowing Iran to keep a limited enrichment capability, Robert Wood, a state department spokesman, said: "I don't know . . . Let's let the review be completed and then we can spell out our policies."

Some analysts say priority should be given to winning greater access for UN inspectors, to acquire more information about Iran's enrichment plant in Natanz and fill in gaps in knowledge on Iran's nuclear-related activities across the country. That could provide warning of any move to enrich uranium to weapons grade levels at Natanz and ease fears of clandestine facilities.

Privately both US and Israeli officials say that even the current, more limited inspection regime at Natanz would provide sufficient warning of any "breakout" towards a nuclear bomb. Outside Natanz, by contrast, information on Iran's programme is diminishing.

The US line that Iran is seeking the capability to develop nuclear weapons - but not necessarily such weapons themselves - contrasts with Mr Bush's insistence while in office that it sought nuclear weapons.

Iranian regime insiders have said they would expect a compromise by the US on enrichment to be reciprocated.
