Well it looks like not ALL the Arabs are so willing to “normalise” relations with the Zionist Religious Rogue State. Good for them! The Jordanian Higher Committee for Anti-Normalisation says “No Way Jose” no reward for you. (Note=I just LOVE that name of that organisation, wish I could be a member) Israel wants to be rewarded for doing what it should do anyway, and THAT is under “normal” circumstances, but the new and improved “Zionist” logic calls for Israel to be rewarded for doing “nothing at all” In other words for continuing to break UN resolutions and continuing to steal and occupy land by ethnically cleansing Arabs off their own soil in their own country. Something the world has ruled to be illegal under the law. You know, the “law”??? That little thing that applies to everyone else except Israel? Yeah, THAT Law. Jordanian public not buying it:

Jordanian activists urge gov't to rescind decision on olive exports to Israel. Anti-normalisation advocates have called on the government to rescind a decision to export olive products to Israel, ahead of the harvest season later this year.

In a letter sent to Prime Minister Nader Dahabi, President of the Higher Committee for Anti-Normalisation Hamzeh Mansour criticised the decision, saying it contradicts citizens' expectations in light of Israel's hardline policies in the Palestinian territories.

Jordan should not be allowing the export of olive products to Israel at a time when the Kingdom imports olives from Syria to offset the shortage in the local market, he said.

"Olive oil belongs to Al Aqsa Mosque, which is currently being systematically destroyed to pave the way for constructing the so-called temple on its rubble," said Mansour, who also heads the Islamic Action Front bloc in Parliament and is president of the party's shura council.

He said Jordan is going ahead with normalising ties with Israel without reaping the benefits of such efforts.

"We learnt about a decision by the government to cancel fees on exporting olive products to Israel. This is shocking to Jordanians," Mansour said in the letter, sent to the premier following an urgent committee meeting last week.

He urged the government to rescind its decision, which, he said, contradicts public sentiment.

"We wish, during this holy month of Ramadan, that the government reconsiders this decision and keeps Jordanian oil for Jordanians. You should not be sending a message that reflects Jordan's approval of calls by American President Barak Obama to normalise relations with Israel," the letter added.

Activists have recently stepped up their anti-normalisation efforts in light of a lack of progress in peace talks and the formation of a right-wing government in Israel led by Benjamin Netanyahu.

Professional associations and opposition parties have spearheaded the anti-normalisation drive since the Kingdom signed the Wadi Araba Peace Treaty in 1994 link

Jordan Boycotts Israel

The Jordanian Engineers Association, 70,000 members strong, has called for a boycott of Israel in a very smart and accurate way. The President of the association has issued a statement and the logic used is absolutely brilliant. Abdullah Obeidat quite rightly says that all the members should not fall for the "hasbara" tourist agencies are using in their package deals to visit "holy places" He points out that ALL the holy places are under Israeli occupation, including the ones in the Palestinian territories... CORRECT. He also points out that to sign up for these tours you must gain "approval" from the Israeli embassy in Jordan. By doing so, this is an acceptance of the Israeli occupation of those Palestinian territories....CORRECT. Report below:

Amman - The Jordan Engineers Association on Monday called on its 70,000 members to refrain from joining packaged tours to the Palestinian territories and Israel, according to a JEA statement.

'Trips to Israel can only take place if okayed by the Israeli embassy in Amman. Seeking approval from the Israeli embassy is recognition of Israel,' the JEA President Abdullah Obeidat said.

'The association is categorically against such trips because Israel is an occupation force that evicted Palestinians from their homes,' he added.

Obeidat accused local travel agencies of promoting visits to Israel under the pretext of encouraging religious tourism.

'The justification cited by some tourism agencies that these trips are only for religious considerations is not acceptable. All holy places are under occupation,' he said.

Several local travel companies currently advertise trips to Israel, taking tourists to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth and other localities to visit Muslim and Christian shrines.

The JEA is one of 14 Jordanian trade unions which still reject the peace treaty which Jordan concluded with Israel in 1994, and refuse to engage in any normalisation of ties with the Jewish state before it quits East Jerusalem and other Palestinian territories which it captured from Jordan in the 1967 Middle East war.

The bylaws of the Jordanian professional associations prohibit their 170,000 members from dealing with Israel and provide for punishing violators, including expulsion from the bodies.

ISRAEL'S PLAN TO STEAL LAND FROM JORDAN

Jews to reclaim land in Jordan

The Israel Land Fund, a group dedicated to restoring Jewish property in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, is reportedly looking east. According to AFP, the organization plans to begin buying historically Jewish properties in Jordan as well.

Many Jews purchased land in what is now Jordan during the British Mandate, when such land was seen primarily as part of the greater land of Israel. In 1946 Jordan declared independence as an Arab, Muslim country. Two years later, the state of Israel declared independence and Jordan’s rulers confiscated Jewish-owned land in their own country for state use.

Israel Land Fund chairman Aryeh King told AFP that his organization has proof that thousands of properties in present-day Jordan were historically Jewish, adding, “We have records of the ownership.”

The plan is in its early stages, and no properties in Jordan have been bought to date. Purchasing would likely take place with the help of Jews in Europe, King said, as Israelis are prohibited from buying land in Jordan under Jordanian law.

The same Jordanian law is enforced by the Palestinian Authority, which views the sale of land to Jews or Israelis as a capital offence. The Land Fund manages to circumvent PA law by buying land through middlemen. In many cases, the group also helps Arab sellers to flee the country to avoid PA retribution.

Jewish properties bought or reclaimed by the Israel Land Fund in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria are guarded and used to build homes for Jewish activists. It was not clear what would be done with property reclaimed in Jordan.

AFP noted that if the plan were to succeed, it could cause anger in Jordan, where anti-Israel sentiment runs high despite a 1994 peace treaty.
