A Jewish sociology professor undergoes investigation over drawing an analogy between Nazi atrocities and the Israeli massacre of Palestinians in Gaza.

The probe by the University of California, Santa Barbara, will look into allegations of improper conduct and anti-Semitism against William I. Robinson, who compared Israel's three-week-long onslaught against Gazans to the Holocaust.

Robinson in January sent an e-mail to 80 of his students, in which he juxtaposed photos of Jews killed by the Nazis and similar photos of Palestinians killed in Israeli incursions.

"Gaza is Israel's Warsaw - a vast concentration camp that confined and blockaded Palestinians," Israeli Ynet news quoted the e-mail entitled "Parallel images of Nazis and Israelis."

The email said Israel is subjecting Palestinians "to the slow death of malnutrition, disease and despair, nearly two years before their subjection to the quick death of Israeli bombs."

"We are witness to a slow-motion process of genocide...," Robinson wrote in his e-mail.

The move drew sharp criticism from Jewish groups and two students who quit the class and filed complaints, leading to formation of an ad hoc committee by the university's Academic senate.

The committee is to investigate if Robinson has violated university policy that bans professors from intimidating students and using campus resources for personal, political reasons unrelated to their classes.

Robinson, however, has rejected the allegations, arguing that it was within his rights of academic freedom to challenge students with controversial topics.

He called the investigation a "violation of academic freedom," saying that the students have formed a support committee and outside academics, including noted sociopolitical analyst Noam Chomsky, have publicly sided with Robinson. source

The international community can and should abhor the slaughter of Palestinian women and children without being labeled anti-Semitic.

Zionism is a political movement, not a religion; it is a colonialist, racist, ideology of conquest, oppression, subjugation and control.

Zionism is Israel's official ideology and to oppose the discriminatory policies of this apartheid state is not racist. Israel is one thing, Judaism another: to confront one is not to be in opposition of the other, they are separate.

Jews can be anti-Zionists, and anti-Semites can be staunch Zionists. Some of the most adamant supporters of Zionist ideology are not Jews, but some fundamentalist Christians. This agenda item does not report on a religion but on a State’s discriminatory policies towards a people who are Semitic too!

Occupation is not about religion: It is a nation’s policy of aggression; its use of disproportionate force, and collective punishment.

When the atrocities committed on the people of Palestine are condemned, Zionists call it anti-Semitism, which is a concocted myth. It is simply a ploy to “dismiss all criticism, no matter how legitimate, as rooted in prejudice and therefore without any validity." (Cohen)

Equating anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism poisons any resolution; let it not deter us from our pursuit, the real goal which must prevail: truth and justice.

Zionism is the cancer eating away at Israel and I believe that ultimately it will cause the self destruction of the State of Israel. The following is an excellent article written by Ben Ehrenreich, a Jew, who writes on the subject of Zionism. He says that Zionism is the root problem of Israel today. That Zionism is the cause of conflict in the Middle East. A personal story and an important story. I commend this man for the courage to write this as judging from the comments in the comment section of the article; he is taking a beating from fellow Jews who are Zionists. Zionism: The root of Israel's problem

The Zionist ideal of a Jewish state is keeping Israelis and Palestinians from living in peace


It's hard to imagine now, but in 1944, six years after Kristallnacht, Lessing J. Rosenwald, president of the American Council for Judaism, felt comfortable equating the Zionist ideal of Jewish statehood with "the concept of a racial state -- the Hitlerian concept." For most of the last century, a principled opposition to Zionism was a mainstream stance within American Judaism.

Even after the foundation of Israel, anti-Zionism was not a particularly heretical position. Assimilated Reform Jews like Rosenwald believed that Judaism should remain a matter of religious rather than political allegiance; the ultra-Orthodox saw Jewish statehood as an impious attempt to "push the hand of God"; and Marxist Jews -- my grandparents among them -- tended to see Zionism (and all nationalisms) as a distraction from the more essential struggle between classes.

To be Jewish, I was raised to believe, meant understanding oneself as a member of a tribe that over and over had been cast out, mistreated, slaughtered. Millennia of oppression that preceded it did not entitle us to a homeland or a right to self-defense that superseded anyone else's. If they offered us anything exceptional, it was a perspective on oppression and an obligation born of the prophetic tradition: to act on behalf of the oppressed and to cry out at the oppressor.

For the past several decades, though, it has been all but impossible to cry out against the Israeli state without being smeared as an anti-Semite, or worse. To question not just Israel's actions, but the Zionist tenets on which the state is founded, has for too long been regarded an almost unspeakable blasphemy.

Yet it is no longer possible to believe with an honest conscience that the deplorable conditions in which Palestinians live and die in Gaza and the West Bank come as the result of specific policies, leaders or parties on either side of the impasse. The problem is fundamental: Founding a modern state on a single ethnic or religious identity in a territory that is ethnically and religiously diverse leads inexorably either to politics of exclusion (think of the 139-square-mile prison camp that Gaza has become) or to wholesale ethnic cleansing.

Put simply, the problem is Zionism.


Buber, Hannah Arendt and Gershom Scholem -- argued for a secular, binational state in Palestine in which Jews and Arabs would be accorded equal status. Their concerns were both moral and pragmatic. The establishment of a Jewish state, Buber feared, would mean "premeditated national suicide."

The fate Buber foresaw is upon us: a nation that has lived in a state of war for decades; a quarter-million Arab citizens with second-class status; and more than 5 million Palestinians deprived of the most basic political and human rights. If two decades ago comparisons to the South African apartheid system felt like hyperbole, they now feel charitable. The white South African regime, for all its crimes, never attacked the Bantustans with anything like the destructive power Israel visited on Gaza in December and January, when nearly 1,300 Palestinians were killed, one-third of them children.

Israeli policies have rendered the once apparently inevitable two-state solution less and less feasible. Years of Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem have methodically diminished the viability of a Palestinian state.

Meanwhile, the characterization of anti-Zionism as an "epidemic" more dangerous than anti-Semitism reveals only the unsustainability of the position into which Israel's apologists have been forced. Faced with international condemnation, they seek to limit the discourse, to erect walls that delineate what can and can't be said. It's not working. Opposing Zionism is neither anti-Semitic nor particularly radical. It requires only that we take our own values seriously and no longer, as the book of Amos has it, "turn justice into wormwood and hurl righteousness to the ground."

Establishing a secular, pluralist, democratic government in Israel and Palestine would, of course, mean the abandonment of the Zionist dream. It might also mean the only salvation for the Jewish ideals of justice that date back to Jeremiah.

Double Standards and Canada’s Pro-War Government: How Bush Came to Canada In the Same Week That an Anti-War MP Was Barred

A gross violation of constitutional and international law occurred this week heralding a dark day for Canadian governance and society. The credibly accused war criminal George W Bush was allowed entry into Canada in violation of Canada’s ratified international and constitutional obligations.


The Canadian government’s complacency in regard to the war criminal’s visit, was starkly contrasted with the haste of the government in banning the anti-war British MP George Galloway from entering Canada, who was planning to speak to an anti-war church group in Toronto in the coming weeks.

James Clark of the Toronto Coalition to Stop the War condemned the Harper government’s censorship as “a frontal attack on free speech.”
The double standard is obvious. The very same legal codes which the Canadian government were prepared to defenestrate to accommodate the war criminal George W Bush were preyed in aid by the Canadian Minister of Immigration, Jason Kenny, to inform the peace activist Galloway that he would not be welcome in Canada based on his opinions on the illegal war in Afghanistan. Jason Kenny, a Calgary MP who recently embraced the so called People’s Mujahedeen of Iran (banned by most European governments for being a terrorist group) and who scolded the Lebanese prime minister, for his criticisms of Canada’s support for the Israeli War Crimes against Lebanon in 2006, branded Galloway: “an infandous street corner Cromwell” (an interesting formulation seeing that Cromwell was a man who stood against arbitrary government).

It soon became apparent that there was some lucrative lobbying occurring behind the scenes. The Jewish Defence League in an ironic alliance with Canada’s far right government vociferously lobbied to prohibit the anti-racist, anti-fascist British MP, from entering Canada. Meir Weinsten of the JDL debated Galloway on UK Channel 4 this week, labelling him: “a threat to Canadian security” and a “proxy agent” for Hamas and Hezbollah, finishing by threatening all of the Canadian pro-Galloway supporters that the JDL: “will be looking into these organization to expose their links to terrorist organizations.” Galloway described the fulminations of the JDL representative as: “venal and brute threats”, and called for debate rather than exclusion.

It is curious that the JDL is ostensibly planning to launch a witch hunt against those on the Canadian anti-war left who support anti-racist, socialist figures like Galloway, whilst they ally themselves with a far right government, governed by a party which has its genesis in the highly bigoted Reform Party. Surely such folly exposes these groups as being merely political mouthpieces for Israel rather than genuine humanitarian watchdogs? Mr Galloway is, contrary to the claims of the JDL, famous for his hostility towards those who spew the poison of anti-Semitism. In November 2007 Galloway organized a protest against the infamous Holocaust-denier David Irving who many believed, myself included, should not have been provided with a platform at Oxford University to deny the Holocaust.

Moreover Galloway, who hosts a radio show twice a week, regularly traduces those who would seek to criticise Israel with anti-Semitic slurs

These nuances were deliberately glossed over by - what Professor Denis Rancourt, of University of Ottawa, characterizes as Canada’s “Israel Lobby” - who pressured the Canadian government to censure Mr Galloway from speaking to Canadians.

It is blatantly obvious that the Canadian government did not want an eloquent anti-war voice subverting their contrived disinformation campaign which they and their pro-war lobby groups invest millions of dollars into disseminating. It is an embarrassment that the Canadian government ignored the calls of Lawyers Against the War, Ramsay Clark (former Attorney General of United States of America) and many other righteous activists and scholars to implement its own laws and apprehend an actual terrorist, namely George W Bush, whilst at the same time censuring one of the world’s most prominent and respected anti-war activists namely George Galloway MP.

A country which lacks the rule of law is a tyranny. These far-right regimes have come for the Muslims and massacred them in their millions, now they are coming for the socialists and activists. Who will be next in this McCarthyist purge? MORE TO READ HERE

The ban has stirred a lively debate over freedom of speech and censorship. B'nai Brith Canada and the Canadian Jewish Congress, the country's two leading Jewish advocacy groups, are supporting the ban.

The decision "demonstrates its resolve in the battle for pluralism and against terror and anti-Semitism," said Rabbi Reuven Bulka, CJC's co-president. "All Canadians should be proud that our government has told George Galloway that he is not welcome in our country."

Ah, but never you mind, Georgie and his supporters have another plan. George will be in Canada by the 30th of March. see here:

Organizers of Galloway's four-city Canadian speaking tour have vowed to take the government to court to seek an emergency injunction to overturn the ban.

Should that fail, a delegation of Canadian lawmakers, lawyers and activists is assembling to escort Galloway from the United States, where he is on tour, across the Canadian border on March 30.

Commander confirms Netanyahu war plans

Israel is preparing for all-out war on multiple fronts that include Iran, Syria and Lebanon, a senior military commander claims.

Israeli army Home Front Command Major General Yair Golan said Sunday that Tel Aviv is preparing for "all possible scenarios", indicating that one such scenario would be to fight a simultaneous war against Iran, Syria and Lebanon.

The confirmation comes as US President Barack Obama seeks "new beginnings" with its arch-rival Iran. The US offer has been met with world praise but with fury in Tel Aviv.

Israeli media outlets late on Sunday began propagating wild scenarios that Iran is using the Lebanese Hezbollah to recruit Palestinian fighters to carry out terror attacks on Israel.

Citing anonymous sources, the reports began to surface after Tel Aviv countered an alleged bombing attempt outside a shopping mall in the northern city of Haifa.

"We are treating the attempted attack in Haifa with great gravity. A huge disaster was prevented by a miracle," Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told a weekly cabinet meeting after the bomb was defused on Sunday.

Israel has long accused Iran of arming Hezbollah and Palestinian groups via Syria, in an attempt to demonize the two Muslim countries.

Tel Aviv also accuses Tehran of developing nuclear weaponry -- a charge denied by the UN nuclear watchdog.

At a conference held in Tel Aviv, Golan also confirmed the likeliness of Israel staging another military confrontation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Although Israel does not consider rocket attacks from Gaza as a serious threat, there is the possibility of "dangerous" missile attacks by other countries, he said.

He failed to elaborate how such missile attacks would relate to Gaza.

His remarks came as reports claim that the soon-to-be Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has plans for "a major military conflict in the coming months."

The commander also revealed that Tel Aviv will install new warning systems across Israel in preparation for its war plans.

The last Israeli-waged war on the Gaza Strip, which began on December 27, killed at least 1,350 Palestinians and wounded more than 5,450 others in the densely-populated sliver.

The aggression was the last in a series of operations carried out by the Israeli forces against the natives of the land since occupying Palestine in 1948.

Israel Killing Palestine Without Weapons

Israel also steals ¼ of Gazan water for its illegal Zionist settlers. What this means is that only 9000 Israeli Zionist settlers consume a whopping ONE QUARTER of Gaza’s water. President Abbas: Israel Can’t Continue to Control Trans-boundary Water

ISTANBUL, March 21, 2009 (WAFA)- On the Fifth World Water Forum and World Water Day, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said, Saturday, that “Israel must now realize that it cannot continue to control the Palestinian people and with it, it cannot continue to unilaterally control trans-boundary water and other resources.”

In a statement read on his behalf by the Head of the Palestinian Water Authority Dr. Shaddad Attili, President Abbas said that for almost 42 years, Israel has been in control over Palestinian water resources, and has not shared them equally with Palestinians as required by international law. “Palestinian domestic consumption of water is 4 times less than the Israeli’s, which is less than the World Health Organization’s guidelines for minimum recommended daily levels,” the President added.

President Abbas expressed his disappointment about Israeli colonizers’ use of water, as 9000 Israeli colonizers consume one quarter of the whole consumption of Palestinians in the West Bank, besides the destruction of Gaza water resources. Only 10- 20 % of water there is drinkable.

Regarding the case of Jordan River Basin and other trans-boundary waters including the coastal aquifer underneath Gaza, Abbas said “I am pleased to announce, today, our intention to become a party to this treaty once we have attained statehood. Furthermore, we urge other states that have not yet ratified the UN Convention to join us and the other 16 countries in accepting this fair system of cooperating with regard to the vital resource we celebrate today.”

The UN Convention aims to conserve and manage ground and surface water resources by compelling an obligation on UN member states to share water and cooperate on water-related matters fairly. It provides that the member states negotiate or find a third party agreement.

GENEVA (AFP) — References to the Palestinian territories -- that led Western countries deeming them anti-semitic to threaten a boycott of a UN racism conference -- have been cut from the meeting's draft declaration.

Passages relating to so-called defamation of religion were also dropped. The text on this subject had been included after Islamic countries lobbied for them following a 2005 furore over Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed. (clearly racist)

The European Union on Monday threatened to pull out of the Durban review conference, due to take place in Geneva from April 20 to 24, unless there were changes.
Britain had also said it would not attend unless the draft showed a "change in direction," while Canada, Israel, Italy and the United States had already said they would stay away.

The revised and drastically shortened proposal, obtained by AFP, also dropped a passage on reparations for slavery, which African countries had been seeking, and did not include a Western proposal about discrimination against homosexuals.
The EU presidency earlier cited at least five offending paragraphs on the situation in the Palestinian territories, such as an assertion that "in order to consolidate the Israeli occupation, (Palestinians) have been subjected to unlawful collective punishment, torture." (Can’t have any of that pesky truth seeping into the record now can we)

Similar rifts dogged the original World conference against racism, xenophobia and related intolerance in the South African city of Durban, which ended on September 7, 2001 with the adoption of a declaration and plan of action.

Israeli and US delegates walked out of that conference in protest against a bid by Arab nations to adopt a resolution that equated Zionism with racism. It was not included in the final declaration.

WASHINGTON — Last year, Israeli Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi had no problem setting up meetings with top officials in the U.S. government.

On his current trip to Washington, Ashkenazi sought to meet the administration of President Barack Obama, but most officials were unavailable.

Diplomatic sources said Ashkenazi failed to obtain access to any Cabinet member, including Defense Secretary Robert Gates. The Israeli military chief, who sought to discuss the Iranian nuclear threat, won't even meet his counterpart, Adm. Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The administration is sending a very clear message to Israel, and this is we want to talk about Palestine and not Iran," a diplomat who has been following U.S.-Israel relations said.

On March 12, Ashkenazi left for a five-day visit to the United States meant to lobby the Obama administration to abandon the planned U.S. dialogue with Iran. Ashkenazi, scheduled to meet with the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, (AIPAC the cancer in American Politics!!!!)was expected to have brought new Israeli intelligence on Iran's nuclear weapons and missile programs.

But the diplomatic sources said the administration made it clear that nobody in a policy-making position was available to sit with Ashkenazi. (are you laughing yet???) This included the president, Vice President Joseph Biden, Gates, National Intelligence director Dennis Blair or Mullen.

"The Obama administration believes that Israel is as much or more of a problem as it is an ally, at least until Israel's disagreements with its neighbors are resolved," former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, said.
Bolton envisioned that the White House would pressure Israel
to legitimize Hamas and Hizbullah. At the same time, he said, Obama would continue to woo Iran.

Already, economic and diplomatic advisers to Obama have urged the president to launch a U.S. dialogue with Hamas. The US/Middle East Project, which includes such Obama supporters as former Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Sen. Chuck Hagel, was said to have elicited a promise from Obama to listen to any proposals made by Hamas.

The diplomatic sources said the White House and the senior echelon of the Obama administration have refused a dialogue with Israel on the Iranian threat. (THANK GOD FOR THAT!!) They said Ms. Clinton, during her visit to Israel, was largely silent during briefings by Israeli intelligence on Iran's nuclear and missile programs.

"The Israeli government and military have been alarmed by the rapid and dramatic reversal in the U.S. policy toward Iran," the source said. "This reversal took place without any consultation with Israel, Gulf Arab countries or even Congress." (Ok you must be laughing by now, Imagine, how dare the USA makes it’s own decisions and policy!! Without “informing Israel and getting permission. Perhaps AIPAC should have left Freeman alone, payback is a bitch!)

But Obama and his top aides appear uninterested in hearing Israel's position. The sources said a key aim of Ashkenazi was to urge the administration to release weapons and systems long sought by Israel in the area of aerial refueling, air-to-ground weapons, sensors as well as the F-22 fighter-jet.

"Ashkenazi sees this U.S. refusal as what has been undermining Israeli deterrence toward Iran and boosting the confidence of the Teheran regime," the source said. "The mullahs in regime have concluded that America has dropped the military option and won't allow such an option to Israel." (HASBARA anyone???)

As reported I the Irish times, a new report just in states that the death toll for Israel’s 22 day genocide in Gaza came to a 1,434 with a staggering 960 innocent civilians. Translation, Israel was allowed by the International community to willfully murder 43 ½ innocent Palestinians each and every day of its 22 day holocaust in Gaza.

Israel's 22-day offensive in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip killed 1,434 people of whom the vast majority were civilians. According to a Palestinian human rights group, 960 civilians, 239 police officers and 235 fighters were killed by Israel during the onslaught.

"The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights' investigations reveal that throughout the course of the assault, Israeli Occupation Forces used excessive, indiscriminate force, in violation of the principle of distinction," the group said in a report (www.pchrgaza.org).

The principle of distinction "obliges all parties to the conflict to distinguish between combatants and non-combatants."

The group said it would publish a list of the identities of those killed next week and would post them on its website in Arabic, with an English version to follow.

"The Ministry of Health have also confirmed that a total of 5,303 Palestinians were injured in the assault, including 1,606 children and 828 women," it said.
It called for an international investigation into "crimes committed by the Israeli forces and Israel's conduct of hostilities" and "prosecution of all political and military officials" accused.

Israeli media have quoted officers as saying there was far less resistance from Islamist gunmen than they had expected." (Ok, so which is it then? The Battle Begins


How Israel trains and employs specialists in Hasbara to take away your rights. Just what is “Hasbara” one may ask? Well, to put it mildly, it’s a technique Israel uses in its attempt to change public opinion of Israel. The premise being, that Israel's problems stem from the need of better propaganda, and nothing at all to do with Israel being unjust. For instance, when it commits war crimes, murders children, ignores the over 60 UN resolutions it has against it, uses Phosphorous and DIME missiles on civilians, you know things like that. They can’t have people thinking they are the genocidal rogue state that they surely have become, so they attempt to counter world opinion by targeting media, university students, world governments, world politicians, other religious leaders, academics, and of course, those of us who write and read online. But now this is beginning to translate into an attempt to change our rights of free expression and speech!! Heads up people! There are many “hasbara” groups and they are supported by the IDF and many are even trained and supported by the Israeli government, so that should worry any sane person. Today I will attempt to lay out how they spread their lies, target our Governments, retailers and internet providers with Hasbara to firstly conceal the truth and secondly to censor us. Get educated on this, it is very important for you to recognise when you are being hit with “hasbara”

You have just been hit with a healthy dose of Zionist Hasbara.

So, the Israeli government is up to its collective arse in the production, promotion, spreading and funding of Hasbara. And one of the best places to spread the lies is on University campuses all over the world. Yep, get them while they are young! So, of course they create a worldwide Jewish student group, called “The World Union of Jewish Students” who handle the job for the Israeli Government. Very well funded and organized, they actually have a handbook for all their student members. See link below for the PDF handbook called “Hasbara Handbook; Promoting Israel on Campus” this is from 2002, so be very aware these “hasbara” techniques have been being used for many years now. Pay special attention to page 115, as like me, you may find you have already come across one of these “Hasbara” spreaders online.

But it is not just mere students working for Israel to spread “hasbara” Why in America you have the largest “hasbara” spreader of all. And this hasbara spreading group that operates with a 40 million dollar a year budget, influences who gets elected in America, who gets accepted in America, what American foreign policy will be in America, what’s on your television and much more. Yes, it’s those glorious bullshitters AIPAC. I won’t cover AIPAC today, they will get their own very special blog, just for them later on.

Using GIYUS, JIDF and MEGAPHONE to spam and censor sites on face book, you tube and other places online. Well take a look at the groups who support GIYUS, all of them are Zionist sites and all of them want to shut down internet talk or discussion about Israel and its policies that they don’t like. So what we have here is them going after a "foot in the door" approach, an attempt by Zionists to involve our governments in deciding what we can read or write online. Why? Because the Jewish lobby has more power over governments than it’s people. For instance, in America, they could possibly convince an American President or Congress to go for this censorship by using their political lobby power and money, but they could not have the same effect on the American people. So they target our governments in subtle ways to get their foot in the door for more censorship down the line.

In addition they are targeting our media, see 2nd paragraph above. They want to remove the licenses of broadcasters who do not buy into the hasbara Israel spreads. Additionally, they are targeting companies, e.g. retailers; so for instance, many of us have bought “Free Gaza” t-shirts, or shirts that support Palestine at places like café press online. If left to these Zionists organizations like above, those retailers would be targeted and forced to stop selling those items Israel deems as anti-Israel, or rather are pro-Palestinian. So you won’t be able to buy a shirt that says “Zionism Sucks” for instance, that would be verboten!!! Sig Heil to the Zionists!

And finally, I will show you how they are promoting themselves on our Televisions worldwide, very subtly, using “entertainment” to spread their cause. Check out the new show created by Israeli Hasbara artists. It is a version of Donald Trumps “The Apprentice” but very different indeed.
