DECONSTRUCTING THE NEW SIMON WEISENTHAL PROJECT

Well lookie here folks, the hasbara team at the Simon (I'm a Bigoted Zionist) Wiesenthal Center is creating a "brochure" with what it "claims" are the "Top Ten" lies about Israel. It should be a "Top Ten" list of the TRUTH about Israel. So, I've taken the time to get a jump start on busting this nonsense with facts. First this:

TRUTH No. 1: Israel was created by European guilt over the Nazi Holocaust. Why should Palestinians pay the price?

LIE No1
Three thousand years before the Holocaust, before there was a Roman Empire, Israel’s kings and prophets walked the streets of Jerusalem. The whole world knows that Isaiah did not speak his prophesies from Portugal, nor Jeremiah his lamentations from France. Revered by its people, Jerusalem is mentioned in the Hebrew Scriptures 600 times, but not once in the Koran. Throughout the 2,000-year exile of the Jews, there was a continuous Jewish presence in the Holy Land.

.So as the cradle of life was Africa, and all of mankind emanated from there, do we all have a claim to steal it off the current day Africans? Funny how that logic fails miserably. The STATE of Israel was CREATED in 1948, check it out:

TRUTH No. 2: Had Israel withdrawn to its June 1967 borders, peace would have come long ago.

LIE No2 Since 1967, Israel repeatedly has conceded “land for peace.” Following Egyptian President Sadat’s historic 1977 visit to Jerusalem, Israel withdrew from the vast Sinai Peninsula and has been at peace with Egypt ever since. But the Palestinian Authority has never fulfilled its promise to end propaganda attacks nor drop the Palestinian National Charter’s call for Israel’s destruction. In 2000, Prime Minister Barak offered Yasser Arafat full sovereignty more than 97 percent of the West Bank, a corridor to Gaza, and a capital in the Arab section of Jerusalem. Arafat said no.

TRUTH No. 3: Israel is the main stumbling block to achieving a two-state solution.

LIE No 3 The Palestinians themselves are the only stumbling block to achieving a two-state solution. With whom should Israel negotiate? With President Abbas, who for four years has been barred by Hamas from visiting 1.5 million constituents in Gaza? With his Palestinian Authority, which continues to glorify terrorists and preaches hate in its educational system and the media? With Hamas, whose Iranian-backed leaders deny the Holocaust and use fanatical Jihadist rhetoric to call for Israel’s destruction?

The main stumbling block is Israel, and this is directly realted to the answer to #2 above, please view Map of Palestine again. Also, I noticed when they were making all those jabs at Palestinians and Iranians above, they left out some of their own Zionists ones, like these:

TRUTH No. 4: Nuclear Israel, not Iran, is the greatest threat to peace and stability.

LIE No 4 The United States and Europe can afford to wait to see what the Iranian regime does with its nuclear ambitions, but Israel cannot. Israel is on the front lines and remembers every day the price the Jewish people paid for not taking Hitler at his word. Israel is not prepared to sacrifice another 6 million Jews on the altar of the world’s indifference.

TRUTH No. 5: Israel is an apartheid state deserving of international boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigns.

LIE No 5 In fact, Israel is a democratic state. Its 20 percent Arab minority enjoys all the political, economic and religious rights and freedoms of citizenship, including electing members of their choice to the Knesset (Parliament).

TRUTH No. 6: Plans to build 1,600 more homes in East Jerusalem prove Israel is "Judaizing" the Holy City.

LIE No 6 Ramat Shlomo was not about Arab neighborhoods in East Jerusalem but about a long established, heavily populated Jewish neighborhood in northern Jerusalem, where 250,000 Jews live (about the size of Newark, N.J.) -- an area that will never be relinquished by Israel.

Wow, that lunatic statement is in fact an admission that Israel is in fact doing exactly what it claims it is not doing, Judaizing East Jerusalem! And here’s the proof:

link Over roughly three decades, from 1967 to 1995, of 76,151 housing units built in Jerusalem, 64,867 (88%) were allocated for Jewish residents with 59% of these units built in East Jerusalem as new Jewish neighbourhoods.

Israel Shahak, citing the ruling, wrote that: "only Jews have a right to permanent residence in Jerusalem as a natural right. The state of Israel does not recognize the right of an Arab or another non-Jew to live in Jerusalem even if he was born there.

Next Lie:

TRUTH No. 7: Israeli policies endanger U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

LIE No 7 A resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would benefit everyone, including the United States. But an imposed return to what Abba Eban called “1967 Auschwitz borders” would endanger Israel’s survival and ultimately be disastrous for American interests and credibility in the world.

Oooops, that’s not true either according the Vice President of America and General Petraeus:

Next Lie:

TRUTH No. 8: Israeli policies are the cause of worldwide anti-Semitism.

LIE No 8 From the Inquisition to the pogroms, to the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis, history proves that Jew hatred existed on a global scale before the creation of the State of Israel. It would still exist in 2010 even if Israel had never been created. For example, one poll indicates that 40 percent of Europeans blame the recent global economic crisis on “Jews having too much economic power” -- a canard that has nothing to do with Israel.

I can answer that one. People are fed up with Israel acting like a rogue state.Fed up with Israel acting with Impugnity! Fed up with Israel stealing the identities of people from several countries, including mine, to carry out a Judge and Jury execution of someone without trial or regards to international laws. People deserve a fair trail,and soverign countries expect a "so called" democratic state to respect the rule of law and abide by International lawas and agreemenets. Other wise you are a barbarian. And Israel is a barbarian! People are also Fed up with Israel’s money grip on American Politicians, so much so that any man or woman the American people elect cannot do what’s in the best interest of America or Americans, but rather has to contend with AIPAC and other Zionist orgs who spend millions bribing to get Israel off the hooks. What the world saw in Gaza was murder and death and collective punishment for a population that held a democratic election. White phosphorous, DIME missiles and the like, raining down on 1.5 million civilians. People are pissed, and we have a humanitarian right to BE pissed! If Israel wants to stamp out “so called” anti-Semitism, start by becoming human beings like the rest of us on this planet. Stop making people hate you by your sub-human actions! And stop calling people who criticize Israel “anti-Semites” it fails miserably. Next Lie:

TRUTH No. 9: Israel, not Hamas, is responsible for the “humanitarian catastrophe” in Gaza. Goldstone was right when he charged that Israel was guilty of war crimes against civilians.

LIE No 9 The United Nations Human Rights Council is obsessed with false anti-Israel resolutions. It refuses to address grievous human rights abuses in Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Cuba and beyond. Faced with similar attacks, every U.N. member-state, including the United States and Canada, surely would have acted more aggressively than the Israel Defense Forces did in Gaza.

Firstly, Israel IS responsible for Gaza as it is the occupying force! International law says so. As to the rest of this diatribe, we see Israel’s tactics exposed, it does not address the issue against it, but rather deflects to some other country instead, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, etc etc etc,. That’s like when some robber gets arrested and says to the Cop you should ignore what I just did, because the guy next to me is doing the same thing. FAIL! And so far as this insane mantra of Israel being attacked, I refer again to the Map of Palestine after Israel was “created.” Almost all those tiny rockets land in areas that are actually part of Palestine according to the 1967 borders. Perhaps if Israel got the hell out of Palestine those tiny rockets would stop. Even Hamas agrees to a state on the 1967 borders, so does Obama. Israel is the odd man out! And you cannot contrast the genocide in Gaza with a handful of tiny rockets that rarely kill anyone, unless one lands on their head! Next and final Lie:

TRUTH No. 10: The only hope for peace is a single, binational state eliminating the Jewish State of Israel.

LIE No 10 The one-state solution is a non-starter because it would eliminate the Jewish homeland. However, the current pressures on Israel are equally dangerous. In effect, the world is demanding that Israel, the size of New Jersey, shrink further by accepting a three-state solution: a P.A. state on the West Bank and a Hamas terrorist one in Gaza. All this as Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy in Lebanon, stockpiles 50,000 rockets, threatening northern and central Israel’s main population centers. Current polls show that while most Israelis favor a two-state solution, most Palestinians continue to oppose it.

Lies, Lies and more lies along with a little subterfuge interjected for good measure!! Hezbollah and Iran have nothing to do with a one state or two state solution, this is yet again Israel using its deflection policies rather than answering the questions. However, they do say the one state solution is a non starter because then Israel will no longer be a “Jewish” state. So if the one state solution is a non-starter and so is the two state solution what’s they solution? Israel wants to keep the status quo until it manages to kill off as many Palestinians as humanly possible whilst stealing as much land as possible, hoping that by the time they are forced to do the deal there will be less Palestinians and Israel will have much more land, leaving nothing for the Palestinians.

OBAMA CONDEMNS................

Let’s play a new game called “Obama Condemns Suppression of Innocent Citizens” See if you can pick the country he is referring to. Ready? Here we go….

Obama recently said the following three statements:

Obama said "iron fist of brutality" had been used to silence protesters, calling the actions of officials an "unjust suppression".

1. Was his comment regarding the “suppression” by the Egyptian Government at US and international peace marchers, consisting of house arrests, beatings, removal of internet access, or the threats aimed at Egyptian students who wanted to protest with the marchers? Nah, all that type of “suppression” is “ok” with Obama.

2. Was Obama’s statement directed at Israel for revoking a permit obtained by Arab students at an Israeli University who wanted to exert their right to free speech and protest on the anniversary of Cast Lead Genocide? Nope, any suppression Israel uses is “ok” with Obama.

3. So, that leaves Iran. And yup, you guessed it. Iran is no lackey, I mean "friend" to America, so whatever their government does is immediately condemned. Never mind that if those types of protests (fuelled by a foreign presence) broke out within the USA, I’m quite certain Obama would allow that type of destruction and up-rising, let’s say right outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? Yeah right. And let’s all ignore the oppression and suppression taking place right now inside Egypt and Israel.

NEXT QUESTION:

Obama said: "The United States joins with the international community in strongly condemning the violent and unjust suppression of innocent citizens."

1. Was his statement directed at Egypt for threatening Egyptian students who wanted to show solidarity with Palestine and the Gaza Freedom Marchers? Or the threats made to hundreds of international peace activists when they were told they could be arrested if they gathered in groups larger than six, or carried a sign? Nope, it’s Egypt, and they are helping Israel, so never mind about human rights because it’s being done for Israel and that makes it all “ok”

2. So, is his statement directed at Israel for its ethnic cleansing policies, it’s kidnapping and internment of hundreds of Palestinians and Arabs? The weekly house demolitions against Palestinians, The weekly evictions of Palestinians, the burning and destruction of Palestinians farms and land, the beatings, the murders by illegal settlers on stolen land? Nope, sorry, again this is Israel and so that makes it ALL “ok” for Obama.

3. So that leaves poor Iran again. They are just supposed to let chaos and violence ensure and allow protestors to set fires and destroy property and bring down the government that the majority of people still support. Never mind about Egypt and Israel, that type of suppression is allowed and encouraged by Obama.

LAST QUESTION:

Obama said: "The United States stands with those who seek their universal rights," he said, adding that his government wanted to see all those "unjustly detained" freed immediately.

1. Ok, surely this is directed at Israel for the illegal detention and internment without trail of hundreds of Palestinians, right? Wrong-o, have you not been paying attention? Its Israel, so it’s encouraged and allowed and supported, and DEFINITELY never mentioned, and neither are Israel’s nukes. Shhhhhh, don’t mention Vanunu or his recent re-arrest or the nukes!

2. Right then, so this must be directed at Egypt for detaining 38 peace activists under house arrest in two locations. Right? Wrong again, because this again has to do with Israel’s wishes and at its behest. So again this type of oppression is encouraged, allowed and totally ignored by Obama.

3. Yes, you guessed right, it’s directed at Iran, as usual, who are only trying to protect themselves from the unrest being encouraged, nurtured and funded by the US/Israel and England. Go figure………..It’s getting to the point where a Democratically elected Government is refused recognition by the US and becomes a target for overthrow using any means. With Hamas, it’s Israel’s genocide being allowed, encouraged and assisted by the US. With Iran’s Ahmadinejad, another democratically elected government, it’s again the same players, US, Israel, and an additional tag team player, Britain.

Israels Version Of The Master Race

Remember Hitler and the Aryan nation Master Race? Well, there’s not much difference between this:

They will actually stoop so low as to make a television show, geared to the American Jewish audience, to impress upon Jews in America NOT to marry a non-Jew because it will harm the Jewish state when American Jews no longer hold huge power over the American government. - Ms. Ehrenberg states “you have a recipe for disaster“ Did you get that ? Iraq has no relations with Israel

Mahmud Othman, a Kurdish Coalition MP in Baghdad, says that while relations with Israel may be a nice idea, such a move would not be pragmatic for a region ringed by other Muslim states.

"Kurdistan needs the Arabs. We are living in an Arab country and we are federal region within Iraq. We don't need a relationship with (Israel), we need a relationship with Arabs, we need a relationship with Iran, we need to be close to Turkey," Othman said.

The magazine, "Israel-Kurd", is the brainchild of Dawood Baghestani, the 62-year-old former chief of the autonomous northern region's human rights commission. Baghestani -- who has been to Israel four times, including on a clandestine trip in 1967 -- denies that he works for the Israelis.source

Playing the Jesus card

Benjamin Netanyahu has a problem. The Obama administration is insisting on a settlements freeze, and the Israeli prime minister, who is resisting such demands, is not getting the support he might have expected from the U.S. pro-Israel community. Usually, when an American President makes any sort of demand on Jerusalem, pro-Israel (primarily Jewish) organizations compel Congress to pressure the president to cease and desist. It usually works. But not this time.

So what's an Israeli leader to do? Netanyahu is resurrecting a tried and true strategy: Call on Christian fundamentalists -- who see maintaining Israel's occupation as paramount -- to galvanize popular pressure against Obama.

At the president's meeting with Jewish leaders at the White House on July 13, Obama heard virtually no criticism of his policy on settlements. Even the more conservative Jewish groups held their tongues. The only exception came when one participant urged the president not to change his policy but to keep his differences with Israel private, such that there would be "no daylight" visible between Israeli and American positions. Obama responded that past administrations did not have much success with that approach. "For eight years, there was no light between the United States and Israel, and nothing got accomplished," he said.

The up-and-coming pro-Israel, pro-peace organizations like J Street and my employer, the Israel Policy Forum, oppose settlements and fully support the president's position.

Netanyahu has never been a popular figure in the American Jewish community. His last tenure as prime minister was a failure; he was turned out of office in near-record time. Yet even in this brief stint, he managed to antagonize the United States. Remember, he came to office less than a year after the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, and moved quickly to undo the peace process. that led to a swift deterioration in relations between Netanyahu and then President Bill Clinton

Sensing the frost, and knowing that getting in Clinton's good graces would require endorsing Oslo, Netanyahu turned to the Republicans and to the Christian Zionists for support.

At about the same time that Netanyahu started cozying up to right-wing Republicans (Like minds attract), the Israeli government intensified its efforts to court so-called Christian Zionists. These are (Mental, I mean FUNDA-Mental)Christians whose(brainwashing) theology dictates unwavering support for the state of Israel.

Christian Zionists emphatically support Israeli settlements and oppose the two-state solution. By no means liberal, they do not raise questions about Israel's treatment of Palestinians. They are, quite simply, Netanyahu's natural constituency

So, sure enough, Netanyahu was the man of the hour at this week's Christians United For Israel (CUFI) conference in Washington. The organization's founder, Pastor John Hagee, addressed Netanyahu -- who was in Israel -- by satellite, telling him that 50 million (Mental, I mean FUNDA-mental Christians) support "Israel's sovereign right to (Kill, murder, maim, steal, rape, pillage and annihilate) grow and develop the settlements of Israel as you see fit and not yield to the pressure of the United States government."

The (Evil Axis of Three) triumvirate of Netanyahu, Hagee, and Israeli Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov now plan to cement their alliance by conference call every three months."

It has all the makings of a zero sum game: Netanyahu and other right-wing Israelis hope that the support they gain from the Christian right can help make up for what they have lost among (normal sane people) American liberals over the past several years.

It won't. Christian (funda-MENTAL) Zionists of the CUFI variety are hardcore Republicans. Their votes are never up for grabs in elections because they are owned by the GOP -- and not because of Israel. Right-wing Christians, including Christian Zionists, support Republicans for the party's stance on abortion (Bomb and kill Abortion workers and clinics), gays (hate all gays), taxes (don't help fund programs for the poor) and a host of other conservative issues. Neither the Democrats, who will never get their votes or their campaign contributions, nor the Republicans, who will always get both, have any need to court them. So, loud and organized as they are, this subset of the American right is not a major political player.

the only domestic constituency that matters is the Jewish community and, thus far, it is supporting Obama -- not Netanyahu -- on the settlements issue and the peace process.

AIPAC Initiates Another Politician

Seriously America, how is your President supposed to do what is best for America and what is best for the Middle East peace process, when you allow Zionists like AIPAC to run your country? As if we needed another example of the power of AIPAC over politicians. It is reported that New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democratic replacement for Hillary Clinton's seat has been taught a lesson by AIPAC. Imagine this silly girl actually thinking that her job was to best represent the American people and the American government. Gillibrand had the audacity to make this statement after taking the Senate seat;

"she would advocate the "best policy" and "most effective" solutions for Israel, regardless of what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to do. And she wasn't entirely against the idea of pressure on Israel, saying that "positive reinforcement or negative reinforcement" would be "a strategic decision for the administration and our secretary of state."

Ooooooooooopsie Kirsten, did you get that statement approved by AIPAC? Guess not, see below:

Gillibrand talks to AIPAC

The newest senator from New York, Kirstin Gillibrand (D) said not long after she was appointed that she would advocate the "best policy" and "most effective" solutions for Israel, regardless of what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to do. And she wasn't entirely against the idea of pressure on Israel, saying that "positive reinforcement or negative reinforcement" would be "a strategic decision for the administration and our secretary of state."

Those comments may not have been popular with some of her constituents, and this week Gillibrand met with an AIPAC leader -- and put out a press release announcing it and detailing their conversation.

According to the release, Gillibrand met with AIPAC national board member Robert Cohen "to hear his thoughts and ideas for how to support AIPAC's efforts and ensure security for Israel" as well as discuss the failure of the Durban II conference.

British Weapons Systems Killed Palestinians

Britain has promised to probe into its sale of military equipment to Israel amid pressure over its contribution to the Gaza aggression.

After months of evading the issue of British support for Israel, Foreign Secretary David Miliband confirmed on Tuesday that London had "almost certainly" supplied Tel Aviv with equipment used in the military offensive into Gaza.
Miliband said he would order a review of all licenses for arms export to Israel.

"I can confirm that we are looking at all extant licences (for sensitive exports to Israel) to see whether any of these need to be reconsidered in light of recent events in Gaza," he said in a written statement.

While Tel Aviv continues to enforce a crippling blockade on Gaza and prevents necessary humanitarian aid and assistance from reaching the 1.5 million people inside the strip, British support for Israel has sparked controversy and has prompted opposition in parliament.

"All future applications will be assessed taking into account the recent conflict," Miliband promised.

Equipment supplied to Israel from the UK includes parts for Israeli reconnaissance satellites -- which are suspected of playing a part in espionage operations by the Israeli army.

"We assess that these might have been used to prepare the operation but would not have played a significant part in the operation itself," the British diplomat explained.

According to Miliband, F16 aircraft that incorporate British components indirectly exported to Israel via the United States were also "widely used" to deliver precision-guided bombs.

The UK has banned the export of F16 components to Israel since 2002.

Apache attack helicopters, Saar-class corvette naval vessels and armored personnel carriers -- all of which either incorporate British components or are upgrades of models supplied by the UK -- have also been employed by Tel Aviv during the war.

While the UK probe is expected to eventually prevent all future arms sales for the use of internal repression and external aggression, the decision has failed to quell the criticism leveled against the British government.

"David Miliband failed to bring pressure to bear on Israel through a suspension of arms sales when it might have had a useful effect," Edward Davey, foreign affairs spokesman for the Liberal Democrats, said in a statement.

"A review now only serves to slam the stable door after the horse has bolted," he insisted, describing the move by the British foreign secretary as a mere confirmation that the British arms control system had broken down.

More than 100 legislators in the UK signed a statement in January that called for an embargo on the supply of military equipment to both sides of the Gaza conflict.

Israel makes nearly 95 percent of its military-related purchases from the United States, which bankrolls many of the contracts using the nearly $3 billion in annual foreign aid it has allocated for Tel Aviv.

The British contribution to the total Israeli arms imports are believed to stand at around 1 percent.

Despite global condemnation of the war on Gaza, Washington has taken no action to curb Israeli aggression against the Palestinians who have become the victims of a 60-year-old Israeli land-grabbing campaign that has forced them out of most of their native land for the sake of a purely Jewish Israel. source

A pressing problem: paranoia and power

Today, America is involved in an illegal "war" and a pre-emptive pregnancy. Everyone now knows that the invasion and occupation of Iraq were, and still are, based on a fraudulent attempt to capitalize on 9/11.

Everyone (who pays attention to politics) knows that the WMD excuse for invading Iraq was a fraud, making the entire murderous exercise even more illegal than a defensive war would be.

The only thing America and the UK were defending by invading Iraq was the vague possibility that sometime in the distant future Iraq, under Saddam Hussain or another leader like him, could pose a WMD threat to Israel.

Let's face it, Israel is paranoid. According to Canadian Mordecai Richler, Jewish paranoia has become a natural phenomenon. As he expressed it, "Coming from Canada, being a writer and Jewish as well, I have impeccable paranoia credentials."

Many will argue that Israelis have a perfect right to be paranoid based on their experiences with persecution and genocide. However, that does not give Israel the right to exercise their paranoid reactions against Gaza or transmit its national disease to America.

Now, out of the same paranoid delusions toward Iran as it had toward Iraq, Israel makes continued efforts to goad and provoke America into engaging in a war with Iran. America resists (or pretends to), giving itself the excuse of trying to approach negotiations with Iran, but finding Iran uncooperative.

According to mental health experts, “paranoia is incurable. The best course is to discharge the patient for the sake of the supporter’s health.” In short: leave Israel to its sickness. READ THE REST HERE

Israel Cries Wolf (Again)

GREAT article in the New York Times today:

“Iran is the center of terrorism, fundamentalism and subversion and is in my view more dangerous than Nazism, because Hitler did not possess a nuclear bomb, whereas the Iranians are trying to perfect a nuclear option.”

Benjamin Netanyahu 2009? Try again. These words were in fact uttered by another Israeli prime minister (and now Israeli president), Shimon Peres, in 1996. Four years earlier, in 1992, he’d predicted that Iran would have a nuclear bomb by 1999.

You can’t accuse the Israelis of not crying wolf. Ehud Barak, now defense minister, said in 1996 that Iran would be producing nuclear weapons by 2004.

Now here comes Netanyahu, in an interview with his faithful stenographer Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic, spinning the latest iteration of Israel’s attempt to frame Iran as some Nazi-like incarnation of evil:

“You don’t want a messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs. When the wide-eyed believer gets hold of the reins of power and the weapons of mass death, then the entire world should start worrying, and that is what is happening in Iran.”

I must say when I read those words about “the wide-eyed believer” my mind wandered to a recently departed “decider.” But I’m not going there.

The issue today is Iran and, more precisely, what President Barack Obama will make of Netanyahu’s prescription that, the economy aside, Obama’s great mission is “preventing Iran from gaining nuclear weapons” — an eventuality newly inscribed on Israeli calendars as “months” away.

I’ll return to the ever shifting nuclear doomsday in a moment, but first that Netanyahu interview.

This “messianic apocalyptic cult” in Tehran is, of course, the very same one with which Israel did business during the 1980’s, when its interest was in weakening Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. That business — including sales of weapons and technology — was an extension of Israeli policy toward Iran under the shah.

It’s also the same “messianic apocalyptic cult” that has survived 30 years, ushered the country from the penury of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war, shrewdly extended its power and influence, cooperated with America on Afghanistan before being consigned to “the axis of evil,” and kept its country at peace in the 21st century while bloody mayhem engulfed neighbors to east and west and Israel fought two wars.

I don’t buy the view that, as Netanyahu told Goldberg, Iran is “a fanatic regime that might put its zealotry above its self-interest.” Every scrap of evidence suggests that, on the contrary, self-interest and survival drive the mullahs.

Yet Netanyahu insists (too much) that Iran is “a country that glorifies blood and death, including its own self-immolation.” Huh?

On that ocular theme again, Netanyahu says Iran’s “composite leadership” has “elements of wide-eyed fanaticism that do not exist right now in any other would-be nuclear power in the world.” No, they exist in an actual nuclear power, Pakistan. Israel’s nuclear warheads, whose function is presumably deterrence of precisely powers like Iran, go unmentioned, of course.

Netanyahu also makes the grotesque claim that the terrible loss of life in the Iran-Iraq war (started by Iraq) “didn’t sear a terrible wound into the Iranian consciousness.” It did just that, which is why Iran’s younger generation seeks reform but not upheaval; and why the country as a whole prizes stability over military adventure.

Arab states, Netanyahu suggests, “fervently hope” that America will, if necessary, use “military power” to stop Iran going nuclear. My recent conversations, including with senior Saudi officials, suggest that’s wrong and the longstanding Israeli attempt to convince Arab states that Iran, not Israel, is their true enemy will fail again.

What’s going on here? Israel, as it has for nearly two decades, is trying to lock in American support and avoid any disadvantageous change in the Middle Eastern balance of power, now overwhelmingly tilted in Jerusalem’s favor, by portraying Iran as a monstrous pariah state bent on imminent nuclear war.

A semblance of power balance is often the precondition for peace. Iran was left out of the Madrid and Oslo processes, with disastrous results. But that’s a discussion for another day.

What’s critical right now is that Obama view Netanyahu’s fear-mongering with an appropriate skepticism, rein him in, and pursue his regime-recognizing opening toward Tehran. The president should read Trita Parsi’s excellent “Treacherous Alliance” as preparation.

The core strategic shift of Obama’s presidency has been away from the with-us-or-against-us rhetoric of the war on terror toward a rapprochement with the Muslim world as the basis for isolating terrorists.

That’s unsustainable if America or Israel find themselves at war with Muslim Persians as well as Muslim Arabs, and if Netanyahu’s intense-eyed attempt to suck America into a perpetuation of war-on-terror thinking prevails.

The only way to stop Iran going nuclear, and encourage reform of a repressive regime, is to get to the negotiating table. There’s time. Those “months” are still a couple of years. What Iran has accumulated is low-enriched uranium. You need highly-enriched uranium for a bomb. That’s a leap.

Israeli hegemony is proving a kind of slavery. Passage to the Promised Land involves rethinking the Middle East, starting in Iran.

FRAUD~Leiberman Questioned for 2nd Day

I wrote about this yesterday. I hope they hang him, but I must admit that I do find it a bit odd that this comes at this time. Given that he has already caused headlines with his racist views. Either it just took a long time to bring this forward, or something else is at work here. Perhaps they want rid of him as he will be too much trouble and cannot be controlled.

Israeli police question new FM for 2nd day

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police interrogated the country's new hard-line foreign minister for the second straight day Friday in an ongoing bribery investigation that could make his tenure short-lived.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Avigdor Lieberman was questioned for five hours about an investigation involving suspicions of receiving bribes, money laundering and breach of trust. The foreign minister's lawyer and daughter have also been questioned in the case. Rosenfeld said Lieberman will be questioned again soon.

If indicted, Lieberman will likely have to step down from his post. Lieberman denies any wrongdoing and says the charges are politically motivated.

One of Israel's most polarizing politicians, Lieberman became foreign minister this week. In his first speech, he immediately sparked an international uproar by saying he opposed concessions in exchange for peace and rejecting peace talks initiated by the former government. Lieberman has already raised concerns around the world with statements seen as racist and his opposition to U.S.-backed peace talks over the past year.

Lieberman has had trouble with the law before. Police have questioned him several times throughout his decade-long political career, though none of the allegations have stuck.

Israel's foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman questioned in fraud probe
Avigdor Lieberman, the controversial new Israeli foreign minister who leads an ultranationalist Right-wing party, was questioned by police for seven hours on Thursday over allegations of corruption.

Less than 24 hours after the Israeli parliament voted in the country's new government, Mr Lieberman answered questions from detectives concerning allegations of bribery, fraud, money-laundering and breach of trust.

Corruption dogged the last Israeli government with the prime minister, justice minister and finance minister all forced to stand down after allegations of malpractice.

Israel's head of state, Moshe Katsav, was forced to resign as president and is now facing charges of rape and sexual harassment.

The allegations against Mr Lieberman concerned the receipt of large sums of money from abroad allegedly channelled through shell companies and illegal bank accounts.

The Israeli police issued only a brief statement confirming he had been questioned.

Mr Lieberman, whose political career began in the mid 1990s in Israel, has twice before been connected to allegations of fraud.

The fact the Israeli police questioned him so publicly and for such a long time after his confirmation as foreign minister has raised questions about the judgement of the new Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mr Lieberman has already stirred political controversy by rejecting the Annapolis peace plan which is supported by America and the international community.

In a statement issued by his office, Mr Lieberman said he is "in a hurry to end this inquiry which has gone on for 13 years. The minister cooperated and answered the investigators' questions."

He has said that the allegations were politically motivated.

Mr Lieberman has been dogged by corruption allegations for years, but has never been charged. Police revived one probe just weeks before the election, but the move has only boosted his popularity as it was perceived as politically-motivated, according to pollsters.

One 27th of December 2008, the suspect ordered the Israeli army to attack crowded, civilian areas in the Gaza Strip. For 3 weeks, 1,500 ton bombs were dropped from the air on residential homes, along with tens of thousands of artillery and tanks shells. For 3 weeks the Israeli army destroyed residential homes, schools, hospitals, water and electrical infrastructure, causing the deaths of at least 1,200 people (hundreds of them, children), and over 5,300 wounded. Hundreds of thousands are now refugees with no homes.

The attack, ordered by the suspect was preceded by a siege against 1.5 million people, a siege which the suspect took part in, including withholding food, water, medicine, fuel and electricity for 18 months.

According to International Law, it is forbidden to shoot and bomb residential areas, execution without trial, collective punishment, destruction of hospitals, schools and homes. These prohibitions, many of which were legislated as a result of the Nazi's behavior in World War Two. These prohibitions were agreed to and signed within the Fourth Geneva Convention by the entire world.

In December 2008, a complain was lodged with the World Court in the Hague against this suspect and others, for allegedly carrying out War Crimes, and Crimes Against Humanity during the Siege in Gaza.

All of this ties in nicely with a must read piece by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts former Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury during the Reagan Administration. He writes a frightening account of how much control Israel truly has over America. Regarding General “Nazi’s” visit and who he meets with and what his “mission” is in Washington. General Ashkenazi will also "be a guest of honor at the annual 'Supporters of the IDF [Israeli Defense Forces]" convention in the city of New York and will address its participants.

General Ashkenazi will also be meeting with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger "as well as with the heads of the New York Jewish Federation."

The official reason for General Ashkenazi's visit is to warn America about the threat that Iran presents to the United States. In reality, the general has been sent to stir up an American attack on Iran.

The military/security complex will welcome the opening of a new front on the "war on terror." The profits of the American arms industries desperately need a new war to replace Iraq. "Our" government in Washington desperately needs new reasons to suppress American civil liberties.

Syria Lays Down the Law for Peace Agreement with Israel

Tell it like it is Syria:

Damascus, 2 April (AKI) - The chairman of Syria's foreign relations department in the parliament, Sulayman Haddad, outlined Syria's conditions to make peace with Israel in an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI) on Thursday ahead of the visit by Italy's foreign minister Franco Frattini, due to arrive in the country on Monday.

Syria's conditions for peace with Israel are, "the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, the return of all Palestinian refugees to their homes, the restitution of the Golan Heights and compensation for all the years of Israeli exploitation of the territory," Haddad told AKI.

He also welcomed Frattini's visit and underlined the importance of diplomatic relations between Rome and Damascus. At the same time, however, he doubted Italian mediation could succeed in changing or softening Israel's position in regards to the peace process with Syria.

"Mediation is not the problem, rather, it is that one of the parties does not want peace and does not want to resolve the conflict in the Middle East."

Rhetorical question: Any guesses as to who that "party" is? Why it's Israel, the one that wants to kill all Arabs and is the greatest threat to world peace. The one with nuclear weapons from America who just elected a maniacal bunch of racist killers.

Haddad also recalled the words of Israel's new foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman in an interview with an Israeli daily, saying the Jewish state would not withdraw from the Golan Heights.

Lieberman's remarks "forces us to remain faithful to the resistance. It is the only way that will produce any results with Israel," said Haddad.

Following the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel captured the Syrian territory of the Golan Heights and annexed it in 1981. Syria and Israel have been technically at war ever since.

Last May, Israel and Syria launched peace talks aimed at a comprehensive peace agreement, under the auspices of Turkey.

Negotiations reached a stalemate in September after the resignation of former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert.

Syria then withdrew from the talks in protest against Israel's three-week military offensive in the Gaza Strip in late December 2008 and January 2009 in which at least 1,330 Palestinians were killed and 5,400 others were injured.

The offensive sparked outrage across the Arab world and worldwide protests against Israel.

April 1 (Bloomberg) -- Israel might choose to attack Iran to prevent it from developing a nuclear bomb, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East said today.

Army General David Petraeus told Congress that “the Israeli government may ultimately see itself so threatened by the prospect of an Iranian nuclear weapon that it would take preemptive military action to derail or delay it.” Ali Akbar Javanfekr, media adviser to Iran’s President Mahmound Ahmadinejad, responded to the general’s comments.

“Iran’s position as a powerful country that is a proponent of logic and peace, the Zionist regime’s chaotic situation, and the state of the world’s economy are realities that do not make this possible,” Javanfekr said in a telephone interview.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor declined to comment on Petraeus’s remarks.

Israel has signaled impatience with the international diplomatic effort to deter Iran from pursuing a nuclear weapon. Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview with the Atlantic magazine given shortly before he became prime minister yesterday, said President Barack Obama must act quickly to stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb or Israel might be compelled to attack Iranian nuclear facilities.

I wrote about this the other day where I outlined the involvement of AIPAC members in their upcoming trail for Espionage in the USA lobbying for War against Iran, among other things. Israel is becoming more and more fixated on attacking Iran and whilst they would seek American approval (and/or assistance) , they very well could “go it alone” however I think this option would ultimately destroy US relations and only make Israel more of a Pariah Rogue state. I think Israel knows this right now, it's not stupid, what with all the war crimes investigations and the outpouring against its genocide in Gaza. But Israel is pigheaded! So it is using every chance it gets to use its "Politcs of Fear" to drum up support. That said, should Israel choose to "go it alone" it won’t bring back thousands of dead Iranians, nor will it make the world a safer place. Netanyahu has the audacity to say this “We don't want messianic cult controlling nukes” But what Israel does not “get” is that the rest of the world see Israel as Zionist maniacs with Nuclear weapons! They are intent on dividing the world into an Arab v Christian/Jew conflict and want to use the USA to make it happen. The new prime minister took a blunt tone in the interview, saying that the entire world should fear the day Iran possesses a nuclear weapon. "You don’t want a messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs," he said.

According to Netanyahu, the Islamic republic threatens many other countries apart from Israel, and so his mission over the next several months is to convince the world of the broad danger posed by Iran.

USA to Help Israel Deflect Human Rights Abuse Accusations

The US will run for a seat in the UN Human Rights Council in order to "change" it. Translation=No more critisizing of Israel will be allowed.

WASHINGTON (AFP) — US President Barack Obama's administration announced Tuesday it will run in May for a seat on the UN Human Rights Council -- a body the Bush administration had shunned.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the US ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, said the United States wanted a seat to help reform the body from within, according to the State Department.

"We're very committed to bring about the serious reform that the council needs," she said.

"The principal problem is there has been too little focus on the most egregious abuses of human rights ... and too much focus, unbalanced focus we believe, on other issues that don't merit the amount of time," she added.

"Yes, of course, we mean Israel."

The next round of elections to the Council will be held on May 15 in the UN General Assembly in New York when members will be elected to a three-year term.

Howard Berman, the Democratic chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the United States could no longer afford to be on the sidelines after the body had "become increasingly dysfunctional and politicized.

But the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a leading anti-Semitism watchdog, expressed concern over the decision.

"ADL had urged Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to seek reform of the Council before deciding to join it," it said in a statement.

Is it to do whatever Israel wants it to, or is it best for America and Americans to forge their own policy.

Let’s take Afghanistan first, just today I read where Clinton backs bringing in “moderate” Taliban;(translation we failed miserably and want to give the country back to the Taliban) she said “that Taliban members in Afghanistan who abandoned extremism must be granted an "honourable form of reconciliation."

Now correct me if I am wrong, but America invaded Afghanistan to remove the Taliban. Now, as things are not going well and the US cannot win, they want to talk to them and place them back in power. Massive failure #1 of Bush’s “Politics of Fear” And where did all this get America? It got America nowhere, except many US Soldiers and civilians being killed. The Taliban will be re-installed in Afghanistan, and then Afghans will be forgotten. America, no doubt, will tell some fantastic great story of how it freed them and had victory and the “moderate” Taliban are good and nice people.

Now, let’s look at Pakistan shall we? Let’s look at it in light of what Peres said to the EU president in his “effort” to win back a summit that the EU president is now cancelling, due to Israel’s genocide and war crimes in Gaza and it’s refusal to stop expanding settlements. Here is what Peres said in his attempt to use “politics of Fear” to sway the EU President. He said "the EU must keep its eyes open for the dangers lurking – Nuclear Iran is a danger to the world and to Europe."

Yet, here we are with Pakistan self destructing before our very eyes, and Pakistan HAS nuclear weapons! Iran does not and would be years away from having the bomb, IF they are trying to make one! Remember, Iran is Israel’s fixation, because Iran does not take any Israeli shit. This pisses Israel off and they have a history of going after anyone who does not like them. First they vilify them and then they begin the spinning until the spin becomes truth. It is important for Israel to get America to back this fixation on Iran. Then, through the assistance of America the rest of the world can then be targeted and turned against Iran until Israel finally has the support to commit genocide on Iran just as it did in Gaza.

So, just do a Google for the word "Pakistan” and then ask yourself which is the biggest threat to world peace. Iran or Pakistan. Now, I am not calling for any invasion of Pakistan here, I am pointing out realities which exist today. Then ask yourself why for the last few years Israel has been working feverishly to attack Iran and hoping for US assistance in doing so. I’ll tell you why, because, God forbid, if the US normalizes relationships with Iran, then that places Israel in a position of having no “whipping boy” in the Middle East to scare America with! Ah, but more importantly it would mean that the US would not have to be giving BILLIONS of dollars to Israel for so called “protection” which I always find laughable as Israel has the 4th largest army in the world AND nuclear weapons!

The next step to understanding may be difficult. But if you can imagine you are an Arab state like Iran, and you just witnessed yet AGAIN, how Israel is such a war monger (with the backing of America) against Arabs and Israel keeps threatening you and playing war games on your borders with flyovers and pretend bombing runs. Then would you not want to protect your country from lunatics with Nuclear weapons who have demonstrated for years how they kill at will? The answer is to take away ALL nuclear weapons, that includes ISRAEL!!

Iran has been demonized by Israel (and Bush) for many years, and Bush joined in with a zeal that was truly amazing. American media has failed the public greatly and fed the “politics of fear”. After all, you have 24 hour news cycles now like CNN, Fox (Faux”) and MSNBC plus many others, only the “big” scary stories get the viewers. So ramp up the “politics of fear” for the ratings.



I remember once I was in America about 2 years after 9-11 and it amazed me that scrolling across the bottom of the 24 hour news program was a “terror alert warning system” that continually scrolled at the bottom of the screen day in, and day out. There were several levels, with red being the most heightened level, down to green being the safe level. I noticed it never left orange, just under the red zone. No matter how many days or months passed, it never got to green, and for the most part remained on orange with a few “reds” thrown in by Bush, just in case people were getting too used to feeling safe under orange.

Now, this is exactly what Israel does constantly. Rattle the saber of war against Iran using fear tactics, trying to continue the Bush “Politics of Fear” to hopefully engage the USA into some strike against Iran, because that is what Israel wants. So, I say again, to normalize relations with Iran would be devastating to Israel on many levels as it would take away Israel’s “cash cow” for American money and it would also force Israel to make peace. Something Israel is diametrically opposed to, as all its actions prove it wants to remove Arabs by continuing to take more and more land, thus making any peace deal vastly impossible.

And one important factoid, we must not forget that it was America who installed the Shah of Iran. It was America’s misunderstanding as usual of another culture that created the ensuing mess we now have in Iran.

Iran is not the “demon” Israel and Bush want you to believe it is. Are they different? Yes they are. But so is Russia, so is China, for that matter so is Israel, an Apartheid state where only Jews have full rights, but we are not being asked to attack any of them are we? Sadly, it was during the Bush I & II Administrations there were several very REAL opportunities for Iran and America to become allies. A chance for a new direction in Iran that would see it become normalised and a friend to America, but that was not in the interest of Bush or Israel so they used Iran on many occasions and then abused it. Iran actually helped America several times, but learned very quickly that it could not trust Bush/America. Now America has perhaps lost the best opportunity for a meaningful relationship with Iran, thanks to Bush SR and Bush Jr and the Zionists, they used Iran and then tossed away several very real chances for change. How many Americans ever saw the scenes of hundreds of Iranian men and women on the streets of Iran, crying for America on 9-11? How many Americans were even aware of this fact? Probably ZERO as it would not have fit into the Israeli, Bush, US media’s plans of vilifying Iran.

But look at what the Zionist Flying Monkeys who work for Israel do if you DARE say anything remotely nice about any aspect of Iran:

A row has broken out over allegations of antisemitism at the New York Times, America's most vaunted name in journalism and a newspaper with a large Jewish readership.

The storm centres on a column about Jews in Iran written by New York Times journalist Roger Cohen and a cartoon attacking the recent war in Gaza.

The newspaper, and Cohen in particular, has been accused of being too critical of Israel and an apologist for Iran and its leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Cohen's column was written from Iran about the country's small Jewish minority. His piece acknowledged the difficulties the group experienced and portrayed them as part of an Iranian society that he said was more tolerant, democratic and sophisticated than many American critics allowed.

Such sentiments might seem uncontroversial, but in America no one touching on issues around Israel or antisemitism escapes close scrutiny. Cohen was attacked by Jewish writers and bloggers. The Jerusalem Post dubbed him "misled", while the Atlantic Monthly called him "credulous". Others went much further. "The Nazis had Theresienstadt, their 'model' concentration camp used to 'persuade' the gullible that Jews and others who aroused the ire of the Nazis were being treated well. Shutting down the current US v Rosen and Weissman case before it goes to trial would similarly short circuit rule of law in the United States. Only a public trial can reveal whether AIPAC lobbyists crossed a red line in their advocacy activities. An open trial may reveal whether there was an effort to leverage classified information into US military action against Iran, or whether mainstream media and the public are manipulated by lobbyists selectively trafficking secrets.

It was shown in the UK so if you live outside you most likely would not have seen it and especially in America I doubt it would have been shown as Americans must be kept in the dark for the “Politics of Fear” to work. I will provide the videos below, feel free to view them all or if you want to skip over the part where America helped to create the Iran we see today by putting in the Shah, then skip to the 3rd video and view all the rest. The documentary shows interviews with a wide range of world leaders who reveal the inner dealings of all governing administrations from the past thirty years, both from within Iran’s own administration and from the Western counterparts. These include Vladimir Putin, Jimmy Carter, Mohammad Khatami, Bill Clinton, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Colin Powell, Ali Larijani, Farah Pahlavi, Madeline Albright, and Javier Solana among many others. Video was palced on youtube in 6 parts, although on television it was a three parter.

In summation, I would hope that the Obama Administration will shake free from Israel’s control and seek the best outcome for America and the rst of the world, which would be to normalise relations with Iran, seek new dialogue, take the baby steps over the next eight years to create and forge a new relationship.It will take time as Iran no longer trusts America, for that matter much of the rest of the world could also be included in that fact of distrust for American foreign policy, thanks to years of American neocons working with Israeli Zionists! Will there be many set backs forging peace with Iran? Certainly! The "Nay Sayers" said the same thing about the peace process in Ireland, which I lived though. They were wrong then and they are wrong now! For America to continue down this road to war at the behest of Israel, serves only Israel, not America. By creating a new Middle East through relations with Iran, will force Israel to make peace quicker than you can say “Kosher” and also save America from having to shell out billions of American taxpayers money to Israel, only to maintain the Israeli status quo of “Politics of Fear” which benefits only Israel.
