SECOND COMING OF THE NAKBA

Well, well, looks like Obama might get that big pre-election boost after all. You know his ratings are in the tank, the economy is shite and he needs a big-ass Obama miracle, and quickly! He's got to start running his re-election campaign very soon as the teabaggers are arming themselves and the neocons and Repugs are nipping at his ankles. He needs a serious popularity boost, some headlines filled with praise and worship to confirm he IS the the world's hero. Hmmmm what can he do, wave a magic O-wand and repair the world banking crisis and US debt, create immediate jobs for all those Americans, end the two useless wars. No, the "Big O" is looking elsewhere for his "miracle" and me thinks it has something to do with that "Nobel Peace Prize" joke, awarded to him for "future" achievements.

Flashback to July, remember this little ditty?
link
1. U.S. warns Abbas: Direct talks or lose backing for state.

2. An Arab League subcommittee on the Arab peace initiative is expected to support the Palestinian position of continued indirect negotiations with Israel, and not a move toward direct talks.

3.The PA has asked the monitoring committee to recommend allowing the U.S. shuttle diplomacy between Ramallah and Jerusalem run its course until September (Check those calendars, it's almost September folks!)and then consider the PA's future moves.
So there I was checking up on the news regarding the evil rogue state today, and at first glance of reading the "Malarkey" below, thought I found the tooth fairy and Santa Claus instead, BUT, then Satan emerged!! What am I talking about? THIS:
London-based al-Hayat newspaper quotes Ramallah sources as saying prime minister (Netanyahu) has prepared plan for evacuation of 50,000 settlers.
Yeah, I hear you laughing, tooth fairy right? Wrong, now it gets serious there's more, and pay close attention to the part I have made "bold"
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has prepared a "tempting" plan to be presented to the Palestinians in the direct negotiations, as part of which Israel will offer to withdraw from up to 90% of the West Bank, excluding east Jerusalem, the London-based Arabic-language al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper reported Friday.
Listen, can you hear that sound? That's the Whooosh of East Jerusalem going to Israel. And...............this nasty deal won't even be a final one, just merely a wee "agreement" not a "Final Peace Agreement" So the evil rogue state can come back at any time and re-populate all those 50,000 settlers right back into their former homes on Palestinian land. Because, after all, it's only a "temporary" agreement to confiscate the whole of Jerusalem. There's more:
"knowledgeable sources" in Ramallah as saying that the prime minister's plan will be in the form of a new interim agreement, similar to the 1993 Oslo Accords. According to the sources, Netanyahu informed the Western delegates he met with recently that the current situation was not right for reaching a final peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, and that he planned to present a proposal for a new interim agreement, which would be "extensive and tempting" to the Palestinians.
And what about that "Arab League subcommittee" mentioned earlier who were backing Abbas to "not" have talks with Israel? Well Catherine Ashton, the US Quartet member is all over this one:
link Abbas "has requested a few more days for final consultations with Arab partners as well as with the Fatah and PLO executive bodies," Ashton wrote, and "should be in a position to give a definitive answer by Sunday or early next week."
And lastly, what's the plan Stan?
One of the ideas raised by Netanyahu's associates, the sources said, was coming up with a formula linking the future Palestinian state with its temporary borders to Jordan.
And there you have it, Wa Laa, in one fell swoop you have Obama's big-ass miracle and re-election gift, the "future" nobel peace prize thingie, and Isarel is all happy with stealing the whole of Jerusalem, and poor Palestine gets the shaft again. Nakba #2 begins.

CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS BANISHED IN NAKBA

just to point out to all you Christians, Israel thought nothing of you either, when they stole your homes as well in the Nakba:
link JERUSALEM — Diana Safieh was just seven years old when her family fled their west Jerusalem home on a spring night in 1948 in fear of bloody clashes between Jewish and Arab forces.

Now at nearly 70, she wants to catch at least a glimpse of a fading memory.

"My father would say: 'We will never leave Jerusalem,'" the elegant and sprightly Palestinian woman from an upper middle-class Christian family tells AFP on an emotional journey of return.

On Saturday, the Palestinians were in mourning to mark the "Naqba," or catastrophe, of Israel's establishment 62 years ago in British-mandated Palestine and with it the exodus of hundreds of thousands

Safieh remembers that on the morning of May 13, 1948, she was picking flowers for the nuns of Saint Joseph convent.

"If we had known what was to befall us, we would have done something else," she says with a smile. By the end of the day, the house and its furniture as well as money and jewellery in the bank had all been lost.

In the middle of the night, little Diana and her brother Jean were woken up by their father. The family was packed into the car and sped off to the convent where a relative was a nun.

On May 14, the state of Israel was declared and the first Arab-Israeli war broke out in earnest the next day.

The Safieh family stayed three months at the convent before deciding, like many others, to move to Beirut. Father Emile decided it was time to return nine months later to Jerusalem, where they settled in the Arab eastern sector.

More than 760,000 Palestinians -- estimated today to number more than five million with their descendants -- were pushed into exile by the conflict or driven out of their homes.

"We were very lucky," admits Safieh, whose two brothers live abroad. "We did not end up in a refugee camp, and we had the means to travel and to have an education."

Today she lives in the Beit Hanuna district of east Jerusalem, which Israel captured in the 1967 Middle East war.

Safieh has only seen the old family house once since Israeli independence, and that was a painful experience back in 1967 with parents Emile and Odette, who had both since died.

"I don't know if I will remember it. In '67, there was a palm tree and the house next door had a tiled roof," she says ahead of the trip down memory lane to what is now the upper-class Jewish district of Baqaa.

Street names have changed, floors have been added to some of the stone houses, the Israeli flag flies from windows, especially as Israel celebrated independence last month in line with the Jewish calendar.

Safieh steps down and walks up to a two-storey house. "My heart tells me it's here," she says, backing up her instinct with an aging photograph.

The black-and-white shot of the family in the garden shows the metal rods on the window are unchanged.

"My God!" she sighs, with tears in her eyes, happy to have reconnected at least briefly with the family homestead but feeling the suffering of her banished parents.

The Israeli family are not so keen on the visit. "Let's go. There is no point discussing it

CANADIAN TROOPS KILL 70 YEAR OLD AMERICAN

The 70 year old man was walking near the Canadian border, but was on the American side, on American soil, when Canadian troops noticed him in the distance and thought he was "suspicious" so they opened fire, killing him.

Is this true? Yes, but the countries are different. As usual, it was the Zionist Rogue State who murdered this 70 year old man who was on Palestinian soil in his own country! This bears repeating AGAIN to all those sane people in this world, that Israel murdered this 70 year old man who was walking in his own country!!!! He was NOT in Israel he was IN Palestine, and Israel murdered him! This is outrageous. Imagine if the first story were true, if an American was shot by Canadian troops for walking in America near a Canadian border? See the absurdity of this? Why does the world stand by and allow the murdering Zionists to kill at will?
LINK Palestinian senior citizen dies in hail of Israeli bullets. The corpse, which had several bullet holes, was found in the area between eastern Gaza City and the border with Israel.

An Israeli military spokesman said an army force had on Friday night spotted a “suspicious figure” approaching the heavily-guarded border fence and had opened fire.

About anti Semitism

This letter was my response to a Jewish friend (supporter of Palestine), who got upset upon hearing severe criticism, disdain and sarcasm against “Israel” and “Israelis”
He felt that people as they criticise “Israel” should not forget the “humanity” of “Israelis”, he also felt that this was a typical behaviour of anti Semitism which caused him to feel angry and frightened

About anti Semitism

Talking about anti-Semitism, and the accusation of anti-Semitism, is to many people a very sensitive issue, nevertheless, I feel the need to highlight some points:

As a Palestinian and as a Muslim, with first hand experience of racism, whether here in UK or in occupied Palestine, I do understand what it means to be subjugated to it; thus, I deeply empathise with those who suffer from the menace of racism and discrimination, those who are abused verbally, physically, emotionally, or otherwise for no other reason than the fact that they are “different”

And I also do understand the awful feeling and dreadful sensation of being subjugated to subtle racist looks or remarks, only felt by you and not the people around you

However, I do see a huge difference between a racist remark directed at a person or a group for their beliefs, race, or whatever that which makes them different, and between a snarl, a sneer or sarcasm against an occupying criminal entity called “Israel” and its people, for their CRIMES
One must not fail to distinguish between the rage and fury caused by watching helplessly for decades the grim unstoppable crimes go unpunished year after year, and the racist blind hatred that might still exist among a tiny minority who, by nature, would be hating anything and anyone who is different anyway

Furthermore, this occupying entity called “Israel” (a word that I myself detest to even pronounce and generally avoid to use) is not a theoretical being, nor does it operate in a vacuum; it’s neither an abstract concept nor a conjectural void

It’s an entity run by PEOPLE
PEOPLE who make decisions,
PEOPLE who elect politicians
PEOPLE who ALL serve in a barbaric army
PEOPLE who foster racist beliefs, attitudes and actions
PEOPLE who invaded others’ land, dispossessed them, and forcibly occupied it
PEOPLE who imprison children and shoot babies hearts
PEOPLE who destroy world heritage
PEOPLE who steal water, land, sea and sky
PEOPLE who kill hope, life, beauty and smiles
PEOPLE who build their colonies on the blood and ruins of another people

It is an entity of PEOPLE, 94% of whom voted for the attack on Gaza
http://www.jpost.com/Israel/Article.aspx?id=129307

It is an entity of PEOPLE, 71% of whom want U.S. to strike Iran
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/860903.html

It is an entity of PEOPLE who violated and assaulted ALL neighbouring countries
It is an entity of PEOPLE who live on a STOLEN land for over six decades, with no signs of shame, remorse, awakening of conscience, or willingness to neither admit nor right the wrongs they’ve committed

Every normal person with some compassion, would make a grimace of disgust and revulsion when hearing about such an entity or such a people who commit such despicable horrors
Now, I find it difficult to be persuaded that such a reaction to such horrific crimes -when hearing the name “Israel” or “Israeli”- is an act of racism (anti-Semitism)

On another note; we – Palestinians- do not have any responsibility whatsoever for the crime of the holocaust, nor do we carry the burden of European racism against Jewish people
Furthermore, I do not see a difference between any kind of racism including racism directed against Jewish people known as anti-Semitism. If we accept racism against Jewish people as being different, then it implies that we accept the racist absurdity of “Jewish exceptionalism”. Racism is racism, many causes same consequences

Thus, I do not see the suffering of Jewish people (horrible as it was) as a unique kind of suffering which must be revered and viewed as essentially and fundamentally different from other human suffering; the same way that I do not see our suffering as Palestinians as unique or different from any other

Questions come pounding:
Why is it that we –Palestinians- are constantly reminded of the horrors of the holocaust, when we had nothing to do with it?

Why is it that we Palestinians, are to suffer the same fate as the victims of the holocaust by the hands of those who brag worldwide to act for “never again”?

Why would the UN want to enforce the study of the history of our oppressors and occupiers -holocaust- upon our children who are languishing in refugee camps –who themselves along with their parents, and grandparents were victims of ethnic cleansing, planed and executed by those whom they are supposed to feel sympathy with?

Why is it that we are persistently bogged down by the fixation on anti-Semitism, while for sixty years (a century rather), we are the ones who are relentlessly suffering from a most vile evil racism (ethnic cleansing gradually becoming a form of “final solution”) perpetrated by a whole population of racist zionists? (with all honesty, I must tell you that some times I imagine it would’ve been easier and less painful to us to be gassed and killed immediately rather than this policy of excruciating slow death that we have been going through for over a century)
How could the world keep asking us to recognise the “humanity” of a settler, who comes with his wife and children armed to his teeth, and at gun point evicts a Palestinian family, throws their entire belongings out, and moves in? What kind of “humanity” is this?

And most importantly, why is it that we are continuously been asked to feel compassion towards our tormenters who relentlessly murder and humiliate us, who attempt to annihilate us and our history and why, to what purpose, are we asked to feel their “humanity”, while their knife still piercing deep in our hearts?

Finally, I cannot speak on behalf of all the Palestinians, but as for myself, I must admit, the recent assault on Gaza was the last straw that broke the camel’s back; before that, I used to think that there is hope, those PEOPLE would wake up to their “humanity” one day, and regret the evil that they’ve done, unfortunately, the more I see of them, the more I realise that this hope and dream was an illusion

Over the past few years, I have been reading and debating with many of those “soft” zionists in the so called “peace camps”, all I found is an extremely arrogant groups of people, who are incapable of recognising, admitting, or willing to rectify the crimes they’ve done. They are only interested in “peace” to protect their interests and to further secure their grip hold on the stolen land. Moreover, very recently, and by sheer accident, I stumbled upon some honorific information that reveals the severity of decay of morality and lack of humanity amongst those RACIST zionists - whose ideological bigotry and chauvinism surpasses all other- that left me in a state of shock for days; crying, shaking, suffocating with palpitations and suffering from severe panic attacks.

Undoubtedly, the world community should leave it to the victims to decide how to deal with those criminals in the future. Only the victims can investigate the fragile alleys of forgiveness or punishment. The victims should have the last say irrespective of what their judgment might be, they should not be vilified, indicted or moralized with, for they have suffered more than enough
The emergence of forgiveness and reconciliation requires certain conditions:

1) Stopping the crime
2) Admitting of guilt
3) Asking for pardon
4) And rectifying the wrong

None of these conditions are ever considered as an option amongst that mighty sick racist zionist society

As for me, I have no authority to talk in the name of all Palestinians, but I can state with all honesty, I DO NOT wish the zionist murderers, those of whom were directly or indirectly involved in massacres, theft of land, subjugation and oppression, to remain in Palestine after its liberation from the occupier. –except of course for the very few good people amongst them, as no soul should carry the liability of another- I do not wish the invader, occupier and criminal racists to stay in Palestine, the land that they incessantly raped, destroyed and disfigured, nor do I desire them to be my neighbours

They have shown no respect, no appreciation, and no love to this land or to her people
They do not deserve to live there. But these are only my own feelings, and I know that the decision is not mine.

More on anti Semitism
There are some more points that I would like to draw attention to:

1) “Israel” calls itself a Jewish state, and claims to be acting for all Jewish people, by Jewish people. It is still enjoying the moral and financial support of the majority of Jewish communities world wide. The absence of a huge uproar of denunciation and disassociation by the majority of world Jewry, makes it hard for people not to blame zionist Jews who live outside occupied Palestine for their guilt of complicity, active alliance or passive complacency by either silence or aiding and sustaining the criminals

2) “Israel” still enjoys the protection of the “Security Council” with its US vetoes on any UN resolution sanctioning “Israel’s” endless list of ongoing crimes and infractions of international law, and the "Israeli" criminals still roam with impunity, free from prosecution by any jurisdiction . This intolerable situation inevitably foments further rage and fury against the double standard and special treatment granted to the “Jewish” state

3) The excessive use of the term “anti Semitism”:
a) by zionist Jews, accusing all non zionist
b) by soft zionists Jews, accusing anti zionists Jews
c) by anti zionists Jews, accusing fellow anti zionists Jews and also non Jews of anti-Semitism as soon as they dare to examine Judaism with critical eye, criticising some aspects of it, some beliefs, attitudes or behaviours

All this has participated in creating a sense of repression of freedom of expression, and undoubtedly also a sense of being subjected to what feels like intimidation and thought control
It has also diluted the meaning of the word Anti-Semitism, making it practically devoid of any signification. It is now used ad nauseam, ad absurdum, reduced to a simple rhetorical trick, slapped in the face of anything and anyone, as soon as there is the slightest inspection of facts. The word has lost its effectiveness to expose a form of racism, I am afraid. The more we hear it used inappropriately, the more indifference its further future usage will raise. Worse, it may even -God forbid- contribute to a form of blow-back ...the story of the boy who cried wolf is only too familiar

So, a sincere advice from a heart that cares, to all my Jewish friends who are really interested in preventing the re-emergence of real “anti Semitism”, and to those “Israelis” with some humanity left; I would say:

1) Instead of wasting time searching for the "humanity" within "Israeli" criminals, focus your energy on fighting and revealing “Israeli” crimes and exposing its inhumanity

2) Disassociate your selves completely from such an entity and proclaim this annulment loud and clear

3) Let go of the idea that anti Semitism is a “special” case of racism; treat all racism with the same degree of unambiguous condemnation

4) Try to look at the situation from the standpoint of non Jewish people, who will not accept or understand the insistence on the uniqueness of the Jewish suffering, whereas the world has seen since the end of WW2 the massacres of millions and millions of non Jews. The world is now inflamed by hatred against Muslims, not against Jews.

5) With love in my heart, with sincere and pure feelings, I would appeal to you to look inwards and search for reasons, as to why you feel that the world should accept racism against you as somehow worse or different, and as to why you feel that your suffering is unique and unlike others’ , because this is not how the world sees it. All suffering has the same value to those who go through it, and all racism has the same consequences and must be ostracized with the same ferociousness

6) Those of us who are involved in the support of Palestinian cause are inevitably going to be accused of anti Semitism, that does not make us in any shape or form anti-Semites, for we know very well that we are not; hence, false labels, and bogus allegations should not frighten or deter us, distract us or hinder our determination of doing what we think is right

7) And finally, please, do not freak out when people point out to certain aspects of Judaism and the Jewish culture that they might not like or find incompatible with humanity, equality, or fairness, after all assessment and criticism have always been accepted by other religions, belief-systems and cultures, and this is what freedom of thought and freedom of speech are all about, people have the right to look at different ideologies, scrutinize them, criticise them and sieve out what appears to be hindering the human moral development, as long as all this is done in a non offensive manner, without slander or abuse, but rather in a respectful, academic, genuine and good-intentional search for truth

PS:
I know that what I have said might appear too strong, unfamiliar, or painful to hear, but I can only speak of what’s in my heart, as I believe that only through openness and honesty that trust can be built. We have a saying in Arabic; “sadeequka man sadaqak, wassaddaqak”
صديقك من صدَقك و صدّقك

“Your true friend is that who is honest with you and who believes you”
Arabic word for honesty: sidq
And for friend: sadeeq
Both friend and honesty share the same root: sa-da-qa= told the truth
My love as always

PEACE DEAL DONE~2nd NAKBA COMING

Israel is having a great time running the show these days!

Wasn’t it just on October 19th, that a proud strutting Netanyahu said in interviews that he and Obama had “agreed” on the “settlement” issue
Netanyahu made these remarks while meeting visiting Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero last Thursday, saying "we solved the matter of the settlements with the Americans," according to the report.

It is not clear what Netanyahu meant and what details of the "solution" are, but this is the first time that Netanyahu said the settlements issue has been solved, said Ha'aretz
I remember wondering at the time did Israel or Obama bother to inform the Palestinians of what the THEY had decided for them. I also noticed that the “settlement” story fell completely off the radar in the media after one day, no news from the Whitehouse, despite the fact that Netanyahu said this:
"I cannot say more than that. If you are interested in hearing more details, ask in Washington," the Israeli premier was quoted as saying.”
And judging from the silence of the Whitehouse, it’s Israel running the show. And if that’s not enough Israeli “Chutzpah”, Netanyahu has become ever more brazen and has now told the Palestinians exactly what part of Palestine they will get. And it won’t include East Jerusalem and it won’t include Palestinians living in East Jerusalem either. We’re talking Ethnic cleansing here folks, right out in the open, found in a statement from Netanyahu’s lips
“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Palestinians needed to recognize Israel as a Jewish state in order to resolve their conflict. "Israel is not a bi-national state," he explained. "It's the homeland of any Jew. And there is a very broad consensus in Israel that the Palestinian refugee problem should be resolved outside Israel's borders."
So here’s the choice given to the PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad by Netanyahu:
Netanyahu said Palestinians will have to make a final peace deal with "the Jewish state of Israel."

"Jews come here and Palestinians will go there. So choose.
So there you have it! Want Peace? Get the hell out of East Jerusalem and everywhere else we decide we want to expand to, and take your refugees and scatter them to other countries. So what does Fayyad say about this, "Ok we’ll take whatever you are willing to let us have": See here:
Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said, in an interview published Saturday, that his government was determined to complete building a structure of a future Palestinian state by 2011. "We've committed ourselves to a path of completing the task of institution building," he told The Washington Post.

He said the institution building meant "the capacity to govern ourselves effectively in all spheres of government within two years." Asked if Palestinians should declare an independent state in 2011, Fayyad said: "I said this will be the program of the Palestinian government -- it will commit itself to deliver the state in terms of capacity within two years."
So this has left me certain of just who is running the so called “Middle East Peace Process” NO one but Israel. And once Israel and America are done fiddling the next Palestinian election, by getting their "boy" re-elected, we'll all have a "done deal" that Israel can be happy with, at the expense of Palestinians worldwide. Don't believe me? read this:
No peace talks before Hamas-Fatah elections

Sources in Jerusalem said on Monday morning that the prospect of imminent negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians was "scant" at best

"The gaps were evident during the round of talks in Washington - the Palestinians would not recognize Israel as the Jewish state,"
(What they mean here is that HAMAS would not recognize Israel as the Jewish State, but Abbas WILL!) MORE:
The sources assessed that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas would not be able to conduct talks with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu before the upcoming Fatah-Hamas elections.
So there you have it, the Israel/US/Fatah plan, exclude HAMAS from the elections, FATAH gets elected as the "fake Majority" in an Illegal election, and then Abbas negotiates away ALL the rights of Palestinians as instructed to do by his handlers. He will "recognize" Israel as a "Jewish Only" state, this ENDS the right of return for all those ethnically cleansed Palestinians with KEYS in their hands! Destined to live out the rest of their lives for generations to come in refugee camps worldwide.

Welcome to the "new" state of Palestine. What Palestinians have been waiting for, a non-sovereign statelet, under Israeli control, de-militarised, no right of return and no East Jerusalem. But hey, they'll have a great Israeli mobile phone network and FATAH will get really rich, or should I say "richer" Yes, we'll all be seeing Abbas and Netanyahu shaking hands on the Whitehouse Lawn, a day that will go down in history as the beginning of the next Nakba...........

REWRITING HISTORY~NAKBA vs WOUNDED KNEE MASSACRE

What is up with America? Are they taking a page from Israel? Check out this article and ”keep reading” for the reveal:

US Government Education Department has recalled all copies of a history textbook because of a passage alleging "Abuse" of American Indians at Wounded Knee, a newspaper reported.

The newspaper said the secondary school textbook was removed from shelves because it sought to present both Native American Indian and American Army Cavalry Soldiers perspectives.

The textbook in question, for 11th and 12th graders, contained both versions of the events side-by-side, but the Department of Education took issue with the Native American’s version. It quoted the passage in question as saying: "The Native American Indians contended that most of those killed and forced to flee were civilians who were attacked and expelled from their homes by the 7th Cavalry US Army, which instituted a policy of ethnic cleansing".

The newspaper said the textbooks would be reissued after "corrections" are made
.from Wiki on the Massacre:
In the Wounded Knee Massacre, on December 29, 1890, 350 troops of the US 7th Cavalry, supported by four Hotchkiss guns, surrounded an encampment of Miniconjou Sioux (Lakota) and Hunkpapa Sioux (Lakota) near Wounded Knee Creek, South Dakota.[1] The Army had orders to escort the Sioux to the railroad for transport to Omaha, Nebraska. One day prior, the Sioux had given up their protracted flight from the troops and willingly agreed to turn themselves in at the Pine Ridge Agency in South Dakota.

By the time it was over, about 200 men, women, and children of the Lakota Sioux had been killed. Around 150 Lakota are believed to have fled the chaos, with an unknown number later dying from hypothermia. The massacre is noteworthy as the engagement in which the most Medals of Honor have ever been awarded in the history of the US Army.
People should be outraged that this is now being removed from textbooks!! The re-writing of history by the American Government, this is appalling! Amazing that America would now be attempting to suppress the viewpoint of the Native Americans, given their viewpoint is included in Wiki and readily accepted by the majority of the world’s population as fact. OK, so I lied, it’s not true about America, but it IS true about Israel:

ISRAEL'S Education Ministry has recalled all copies of a history textbook because of a passage alleging "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians during the 1948 war, a newspaper reported.

Israel's Haaretz newspaper said the secondary school textbook was removed from shelves because it sought to present both Israeli and Arab perspectives on the departure of some 750,000 Palestinians during the fighting that erupted after the creation of the Jewish state

The textbook in question, for 11th and 12th graders, contained both versions of the events side-by-side, but according to Haaretz the ministry took issue with the Palestinian version. It quoted the passage in question as saying: "The Palestinians and the Arab countries contended that most of the refugees were civilians who were attacked and expelled from their homes by armed Jewish forces, which instituted a policy of ethnic cleansing".

Haaretz said the textbooks would be reissued after "corrections" are made
From Wiki on the Nakba:
The 1948 Palestinian exodus (Arabic: الهجرة الفلسطينية‎, al-Hijra al-Filasṭīnīya), also known as al Nakba (Arabic: النكبة‎), meaning the "disaster", "catastrophe", or "cataclysm",[1] occurred when between 650,000 and 750,000 Palestinian Arabs fled or were expelled from their homes by Jewish or Israeli forces, during the creation of the state of Israel and the civil war that preceded it.[2]

Jewish advances, such as that on Haifa, fears of a massacre after Deir Yassin,[5] and a collapse in Palestinian leadership caused many to leave out of panic, while most of those who remained were expelled by Jewish soldiers or, later, the Israeli government. A series of laws passed by the first Israeli government prevented them from returning to their homes, or claiming their property. They and many of their descendants remain refugees.[6] The Deir Yassin massacre took place on April 9, 1948, when around 120 fighters from the Irgun and Lehi Zionist paramilitary groups attacked Deir Yassin near Jerusalem, a Palestinian-Arab village of roughly 600 people.[1 Around 107 villagers, including women and children, were killed. Some were shot, while others died when hand grenades were thrown into their homes.[3] Several were taken prisoner and may have been killed after being paraded through the streets of West Jerusalem, The invasion of Deir Yassin took place after the United Nations proposed on November 29, 1947 (UN Resolution 181) that Palestine should be divided into an Arab state and a Jewish one. Jerusalem was to belong to neither state, but was to be administered separately; Deir Yassin lay within the boundaries of the proposed plan for Jerusalem.
Israel are Evil Liars attempting to re-write history, POINT MADE.

Holocaust Indoctrination Coming to Gaza

If the Nakba is a lie to Israel, then the Holocaust is a lie to Palestinians.

The Zionist control of the UN is showing again. We have already seen nothing come of the hundreds of witnessed war crimes committed by Israel on its recent Gaza Genocide. But now we get to see another slap in the face to the real victims, the Palestinians.

As if starving and punishing an entire population was not enough, stealing the organs from dead and captured Palestinians, dropping white phosphorous on their heads, destroying their homes, schools and mosques, ethnically cleansing them from their own land, All of this is still not enough to satisfy the Zionist Criminal murderers.
Their UN lackeys now want to teach Palestinian Children about the Holocaust, INSIDE GAZA! Who gives them this right? To enter another country and teach the hasbara of the occupiers, murderers and enemy of that country. This is nothing more than another attempt to brainwash young Palestinians, in the hopes of making them feel some sort of compassion for their captors and occupiers. As if such a move can erase the images of death they have seen for years. Or explain why they die for lack of hospital parts, or go hungry for lack of food, or can’t fish in their own waters without being attacked by the Israeli navy.

Let Israel teach the Nakba to Israeli children in Israel. Then come and talk to Palestinians about teaching them the holocaust. Until then, no way can any sane person support such a one sided, clearly propagandist move by Israel and the UN. If the Zionists cannot accept the reality of the Nakba, then Palestine has the right to refuse acceptance of the holocaust. Report below:
GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas condemned the United Nations Sunday, saying it planned to teach Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip about the Holocaust -- but the U.N. agency which runs schools in the enclave would not confirm any change.

Branding the Nazi genocide of the Jews "a lie invented by the Zionists," the Islamist movement which runs the Gaza Strip wrote in an open letter to a senior U.N. official that he should withdraw plans for a new history book in U.N. schools.

A spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which educates some 200,000 refugee children in Gaza, said the Holocaust was not on its current curriculum. He would not comment on Hamas's statement that it was about to change.

Palestinians resent the way world powers reacted to the Holocaust by supporting the establishment of Israel in 1948, a move that left half the Arab population of then British-ruled Palestine as refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and abroad.

Hamas said it believed UNRWA was about to start using a text for 13-year-olds that included a chapter on the Holocaust.

In an open letter to local UNRWA chief John Ging, the movement's Popular Committees for Refugees said: "We refuse to let our children study a lie invented by the Zionists."

UNRWA spokesman Adnan Abu Hasna said: "There is no mention of the Holocaust in the current syllabus." Asked if UNRWA planned to change that, he declined to comment.source

RACISM RULZ~Nakba Anniversary Day

Well, you have to hand it to the Nazi Racist Lieberman, you always know what you are dealing with, an evil racist. His party wants to now "ban" all Palestinians from having any anniversary commemorations for the Nakba. It never happened, just a fabrication......Well, Ok then, how about Israel not having any for the "holocaust" it never happened either then, according to that very same logic. Well just who is the real victim here. This racist Lieberman, wants to actually jail for THREE years, any Arab who commemorates the Nakba.

Can you just for one minute imagine the American government passing a law that outlawed any African Americans from remembering or commemorating, or speaking of their Slave history. And then jailing them for three years? Forget about "Black Power" How about let's cancel Rosa Parks right out, never happened, add in Malcolm X, Stokley Carmichael "Kwame Toure" who's wonderful Mother "May Charles" was a friend and who once on a visit to Ireland in solidarity, when she was in her eighties, bless, stood up and said "I am a proud black Irish woman" Oh, and let's not forget about Martin Luther King and all his great work as well, never happened. Imagine America attempting to portray that no slavery ever existed, no Black person suffered racism or abuse, or had their civil rights violated. Imagine the American government supporting such actions now, today, and imagine the American government jailing any African American who dared to talk of slavery, abuse or racism in the history of America. Absurd!!!

I found the above racist propaganda online, notice a "theme" here? One is a racist vile "cartoon" about Black people, portraying the racist stereotype that every Black person is a potential Criminal, so all Black children should be jailed right after birth, before they become criminals. The second vile racist picture was taken from a shirt worn by the Israel army during it's genocide in Gaza. Same theme here, all Palestinians/Arab children should be killed whilst still in their mothers womb, because, after all, they are all potential terrorists, another racist stereotype.

See how insane this is, and moreover how racist Israel truly is? Today's racist article below:
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's party wants to ban Israeli Arabs from marking the anniversary of what they term "the Catastrophe" or Nakba, when in 1948 some 700,000 Arabs lost their homes in the war that led to the establishment of the state of Israel.

The ultranationalist Yisrael Beitenu party said it would propose legislation next week for a ban on the practice and a jail term of up to three years for violators.

The initiative could fuel racial tensions stoked by Lieberman's February election campaign call to make voting or the holding of public office in Israel contingent on pledging loyalty to the Jewish state.

Arabs, who make up 20 percent of Israel's population, said the allegiance demand was aimed at them and accused Lieberman of racism.

Israel celebrated its Independence Day this year on April 29, in accordance with the Hebrew lunar calendar. Palestinian refugees around the world and Israel's Arab citizens mark the Nakba on May 15, the day after the British mandate over Palestine ended in 1948.

In Ramallah, hundreds of Palestinians, some holding large wooden keys to symbolize the keys of homes from which they fled in 1948, took part in a rally.

"I came here to show that we believe that one day we will return. If not me, then my son," said Mohammad Hassan, 79.

The right-leaning government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which Lieberman's party is a key ally, has not endorsed the Western and Arab-backed goal of Palestinian statehood.

It also firmly opposes the division of Jerusalem and the right of return of Palestinian refugees, and Netanyahu recently introduced a demand that Palestinians, as part of any future peace agreement, recognize Israel as a "Jewish state". source
And just so you do not labour under the false pretense that it is only a handful of racists in Israel. Read this article Lieberman's anti-Arab ideology wins over Israel's teens, where you can witness a whole new generation of Liebermans, soon to grow up and take over the country. Notice their favorite slogans "Death to the Arabs" and "No loyalty, no citizenship" These are Leibermans new generation, his clones.

Time to extricate America from these parasites who take billions off your taxpayers annually and pull your country into wars for their benefit, not yours! The largest reason that America has such a low standing in world opinion rests directly on the shoulders of your continued support for a rogue state that practices racism, ethnic cleansing, murders at will, is in breach of over 60 UN resolutions, is armed with Nuclear weapons yet will not sign the nuclear non proliferation treaty, nor allow any inspections of its weapons. Would America allow any other country to do this? I doubt it. Expel the Israeli lobby in the form of ADL and AIPAC who control your politicians through bribes, threats and money before Israel drags you down so low you can't ever recover.

Remember the Nakba today

America's Zionist-Israeli Lobby Victim Speaks Out

William Robinson, a professor with tenure at the University of California Santa Barbara recently had a huge "run in" with the "Zionist Censorship controllers of America" You see, he dared to use the dreaded "H" word that obviously belongs to only Jews. Never mind that many other people have had their own "holocaust" Jaysus, in Ireland our population was halved three times, so we have a right to that word as well. As do the Palestinians. Because Robinson is 100% right in his assessment. Because Israel has now become the very monster that persecuted Jews, and that is why some people find their actions quite stunning. You'd think Israel would be a compassionate nation, having faced racism, discrimination and a huge military might with no way to fight back except "resistance" Sound Familiar? It should! Israel has become the "Nazis" and the Palestinians are the "new Jews"
An outspoken critic of Israeli crimes against Palestinians, William Robinson, hits out at efforts aimed at silencing debate on the "Gaza massacre".

Robinson, who is a tenured professor of sociology at the University of California at Santa Barbara, ran the gauntlet after he likened the three-week Israeli war on Gaza to the Holocaust in an email to 80 of his students.

The email, which featured juxtaposed photos of concentration camp inmates and of Palestinians in the blockaded Gaza Strip, gave rise to a raging torrent of criticism from American Jewish circles, many of whom accused Robinson of being an "Israel-bashing anti-Semitic".

Robinson, who is slated to be prosecuted for his remarks, hit back at the criticism in an exclusive Press TV interview, saying it would be "absolutely absurd" to equate criticism of Israel with "anti-Semitism".

"This is an obnoxious charge and the Israeli state and its supporters, including the Israeli lobby in the United States has been doing this for quite sometime, saying any criticism of Israel state policy is anti-Semitic, and this is an intentional tactic done to squash any open debate on Israeli policies," said the 50-year-old Jewish professor.

In a recent interview with Counterpunch, Robinson said Abraham Foxman, the national director of a Zionist lobby group, the Anti-Defamation League, is spearheading efforts to have him prosecuted for alleged unprofessional conduct.

Several groups -- including the California scholars for academic freedom and most recently the Middle East study association of North America -- have come to Robinson's defense and have described the prosecution as "a clear attempt to silence the criticism against Israel".

Universities in the United States and Europe, under increased pressure from Jewish circles, have stepped up efforts to prevent high-profile critics of Israel from appearing at universities in recent months.

Norman Finkelstein's sharp criticism of the Zionist occupation of Palestinian lands has left him without tenure in the DePaul University in Chicago despite his exemplary academic record.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was scheduled to deliver a speech and participate in a question and answer session at the Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland, but the event was cancelled following pressure from the Israeli lobby.

Tel Aviv's latest military incursion into Gaza killed nearly 1,400 Palestinians, most of whom were civilians. The attack inflicted over $1.6 billion in damages on the Gazan economy.

The United States, which claims to be a supporter of human rights but is plagued by the overwhelming grip of the Zionist lobby on politics, has failed to even condemn the aggression. link

Palestinian Address on Nakba

Just in case anyone forogt, today is the 61st anniversity of the Nakba.
Marking the 61st anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for the end of Israeli occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital.

In a televised speech aired Thursday night Fayyad said the refugee issue must be solved with the Arab Peace Initiative. He called the plan the “minimum requirement” for historical justice to be served and the only real end to the oppression of Palestinians that began with the Nakba in 1948.

For the last 61 years, Fayyad said, Israel has used “all means” to force Palestinians to surrender and conceal their national identity. “But we are here to stay and we are deeply rooted in our lands, we cling to our rights and are determined to get rid of the hideous occupation,” he said.

Joining the presentation, Abbas commented on the urgent need for “our national unity which will strengthen our demands and struggle.” He said the Palestinians have learned from history that we must not be dragged into serving regional or external agendas. “I am confident today after 61 years that the dawn is coming and the state is coming; this is the inevitability of history.”

Abbas continued, saying, “Every occupation is doomed to an end and no right shall be lost if there are people who cling and demand their rights.

We aspire a just peace and the leaders of Israel must realize after all these years that force will never solve this conflict and that settlements and checkpoints and the wall and the siege will not kill the will of the Palestinian people,” he said.

The Nakba is commemorated on 15 May. Rallies and events were held across the West Bank and Gaza on Thursday, while Friday is expected to be a somber day of reflection and remembrance. source

Resistance "The Only Way"

On this, the anniversity of the Nakba, many in Palestine believe resistance is the only way to secure their right of return.
Palestinian refugees expelled from their lands have the right to demand their return, the Popular Resistance Committee’s military wing said on Nakba Day.

In realizing our rights, the An-Nasser Brigades said in a statement, “resistance is the only option.”

The statement, in honor of the anniversary of the day the 1948 expulsion of Palestinians from their homes began, said “We are one Palestinian nation and we will unite to face the Israeli occupation of our lands and we will do our best to protect Jerusalem and get back our lands.”

Echoing the An-Nasser Brigades, their Fatah-affiliated counterparts the Al-Mujahedin Brigades called on all Palestinians to unite and face Israeli harassment.

The brigades issued a statement on the occasion of Nakba Day that Palestinian land owners should “never abandon their right” to return to that land. source
