A senior Islamic Revolution Guards Corps commander says Israeli claims of intercepting a ship carrying Iranian-made weapons intend to divert attention from a UN report detailing Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

In remarks that were later proven to be false, Israeli military sources said Tuesday they found a large cache of Iranian-made arms when they stormed a vessel near Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea.

They claimed that the ship was heading for the Hezbollah resistance movement, either in Lebanon or Syria.

Yadollah Javani, the Director of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), said the allegations were part of the Israeli regime's "poisonous media campaign".

"These accusations are nothing but an Israeli ruse to deflect international attention from the Goldstone report as they move closer to the war crimes tribunal [at the International Criminal Court (ICC)]," said Brigadier General Javani.

"Israeli officials have a knack of leveling baseless accusations against others when they are in serious trouble," he added.

Syrian officials have rejected Israeli accusations over the cargo seizure. "The ship was not carrying Iranian-made weaponry for Syria or Lebanon, but was in fact carrying Syrian-made items for consumption in Iran," said Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem on Wednesday.

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri also dismissed the charges, questioning why the Israelis had failed to detain the crew, if the ship was supposedly carrying the huge arms cargo.

Berri said that while Hezbollah has the right to obtain arms from “anywhere in the world,” it is pretty obvious that Israel made the claims to fudge the issue of its war crimes in Gaza. link

Lebanon Gets Smart~Shuts Israeli ISP Down

Lebanon boycotts Israel and shuts down Internet service provider. Good for them! Were I a Lebanese, I'd stay clear away from any ISP owned by Israel. Otherwise they may as well send all their data directly to Tel Aviv.

Hizbullah's official website claimed that the Lebanese Prosecutor-General's Office closed an Internet company in the Lebanese town of Barouk that supposedly had ties to Israel, according to a report on Saturday by the Lebanese daily As Safir.

According to Hizbullah, the As Safir report stated that Lebanese Army Intelligence raided the company's offices and established that it had ties with Israel after interrogating the employees and examining equipment.

Hizbullah added that the company provided Internet services to many Lebanese government institutions and had been active for years. source

Israel Wakes Up in Bad Mood

Israel blames the UN for recent incidents involving Hezbollah. And….Israel is…. get this: “Complaining” about UN Resolution 1701 being “broken.” Oh, the irony of this is overwhelming. But isn’t it just like Israel to trumpet with rightiousness behind the Resolutions it agrees with, and ignore with deafness all those resolutions it refuses to comply with. How about Israel address the over 60 UN resolutions it has continued to break for years. Let’s start there shall we. Let’s begin with Israel meeting it’s obligation under all those resolutions it ignores. All of which pertain to much of the root cause of the existing problems between Lebanon and Palestine.

Israel says UN encouraged provocation on Lebanese border

In a letter of complaint addressed to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Security Council President Ruhakana Rugunda of Uganda, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gabriela Shalev said recent incidents in Lebanon, including an explosion at a Hezbollah weapons cache, have verified that the Shiite group "consistently obstructs the implementation of Resolution 1701 by building new military infrastructure south of the Litani River."

Israel is also seeking a similar condemnation of two more incidents that took place over the weekend, namely the infiltration of 15 unarmed Lebanese civilians into Israel and the attack on UN peacekeepers by villagers in Bir el-Salasel.

"Such violations jeopardize the fragile stability along Israel’s northern border and stand in contravention of UN Security Council resolution 1701, in particular paragraph 8 that calls for 'full respect for the Blue Line by both parties'," the letter read.

Respect the “Blue Line” Eh? What about Israel respecting the borders of Palestine, what about Israel respecting international waters surrounding Palestine and additionally Palestinian territorial waters, all of which do not belong to Israel. Yet Israel commits continued acts of Zionist Piracy without punishment. And they go on to “complain and whinge” about Goldstone entering Gaza to speak with the democratically elected Government of Gaza and it’s citizens to carry out this investigation of war crimes. Note that the Evil Rogue State refused to allow Goldstone into it’s country to investigate in an effort to hide the crimes. Can’t have Goldstone talking to any of those brave IDF soldiers who are “breaking the silence” on the genocide. So here’s their whinge about Goldstone and the War Crimes Investigation:

In a separate letter of complaint to Ban, the Israeli ambassador protested the "meetings between Richard Goldstone, head of the Human Rights Council’s 'fact finding' mission to the Gaza Strip, and ministers of the illegal Hamas terrorist government."

"I am confident that, as a member of the Quartet, you are well aware that the Hamas terrorist organization repeatedly refuses to accept the three principles outlined by the Quartet: the commitment to non-violence; the recognition of Israel; and the acceptance of previous agreements and obligations. Thus, the aforementioned meetings with Hamas leaders clearly violated the principles and policy of the Quartet," Shalev wrote.

When will Israel realise it cannot control everything and the UN can investigate war crimes where ever it wants to if that country allows the investigators inside. The fact is that the people of Gaza and their Government have cooperated with the UN investigation, Israel, on the other hand, have run away to hide behind their prison walls as usual. Vatican teaching Hezbollah how to kill Jews, says pamphlet for IDF troops

The Pope and the cardinals of the Vatican help organize tours of Auschwitz for Hezbollah members to teach them how to wipe out Jews, according to a booklet being distributed to Israel Defense Forces soldiers.

Officials encouraging the booklet's distribution include senior officers, such as Lt. Col. Tamir Shalom, the commander of the Nahshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade.

The booklet was published by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, in cooperation with the chief rabbi of Safed, Rabbi Shmuel Eliahu, and has been distributed for the past few months.

3 Years Later~Israel FINALLY Complies to ONE UN Resolution

Ok Israel threw out a carrot, now lets all wait for the stick. During the 2006 Lebanon war, Israel dropped hundreds of cluster bombs on Lebanon. After the war was over it refused to hand over maps showing where these cluster bombs were. Hence more innocent people have died and Israel once again refused to comply with the UN's request regarding the maps for the last three years. I guess Israel figures they may still get lucky and kill off a few more innocent Arabs who might accidently step on one of these bombs. Finally and suddenly, three years later they have given over the maps. I only hope they are the real maps and are accurate. Can't say I trust Israel very much as they do have a tendancy to lie, cheat and steal. Report below:

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Israel handed over to U.N. peacekeepers Tuesday maps of where it dropped cluster bombs in Lebanon during the 2006 war with Hezbollah guerrillas, the UNIFIL peacekeeping force said.

The United Nations and the Lebanese government have repeatedly called on Israel to hand over the maps of where it dropped the munitions, most of which were fired in the last 72 hours of the 34-day war.

A U.N. Security Council resolution which halted the war called on Israel to give the United Nations all remaining maps showing land mine sites in Lebanon.

"These maps and locations should have been handed over immediately after the issuance of the international resolution," Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said in a statement. link

Next there will be an anti-drinking campaign, telling Israelis that consuming more than one drink a day makes you a supporter of Iran ;-)

Jerusalem – The Israeli Anti-Drug Authority launched an ad campaign linking smoking marijuana with support for Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

In one poster, Nasrallah’s head appears rising like a genie on smoke from a bong.

The poster reads: (In red) “Nasrallah aims at destroying Israel entirely.” The campaign is based on the allegation that Hizbullah funds its activities in Lebanon and alleged (Israeli alleged!) activities in Palestinian areas through drug trafficking.

In white font the poster reads: "Hizbullah has the obvious purpose of flooding Israel with venom which forms a strategic danger against Israel. We should not give him the chance to destroy Israel and we should counter drugs internally and externally.”

Hizbullah is the Lebanese resistance group thought to be responsible for forcing Israel to end its decades-old occupation of southern Lebanon in 2000. In 2006 Israel launched an unsuccessful war against organization after it seized two Israeli soldiers.link

Israel targeting Lebanon elections: Iran

Iran says the Israeli-led smear campaign against Hezbollah leaders is designed to subvert the upcoming parliamentary elections in Lebanon.

Iran Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani said Sunday that the recent demagogy against the Hezbollah Resistance movement is an "outdated game plan" which aims to impinge on Lebanon's June 7 parliamentary elections.

"[Egypt] intends to divert international attention from the plight of Palestinians in the wake of Tel Aviv's three-week war on Gaza," said Larijani, only days after Cairo arrested some 50 people for offering logistical help to the war-hit Palestinians in Gaza.

Cairo recently accused the resistance forces of masterminding a slew of attacks inside Egypt. Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah instantly dismissed the accusations out of hand.

"I fully reject and deny all charges that Hezbollah was intending to launch an act of aggression in Egypt or at any other part of the world," said Nasrallah, confirming that at least one of the 49 detainees belonged to Hezbollah.

Egyptian officials have also branded Nasrollah as an 'Iranian agent' who seeks to spread 'Shia ideology' throughout the region. Larijani rejected the idea as "utterly absurd."

Egypt and its Arab allies are wary of the growing popularity and influence of both Hamas and Hezbollah in the region.

Hezbollah, in recent months, has sharply criticized the Cairo government for keeping the Rafah border-crossing closed in the face of the daunting humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

Rafah is the only escape route from Gaza which bypasses Israel.

press tv: Israeli Transport Minister Yisrael Katz calls for the assassination of the chief of Lebanon's Hezbollah movement Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah.

"Nasrallah deserves death and I hope that those who know what to do with him will act and give him what he deserves," AFP quoted the Israeli minister as saying on Sunday.

Kaztz is a close aide of hawkish Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahou.

Nasrallah's popularity in the world especially Muslim countries hit record high after a 33-day war between Israel and Hezbollah. Hezbollah managed to successfully resist against the well-equipped Israeli military.

Israeli military offensive killed more than 1,200 Lebanese, mostly women and children.

The remarks by the Israeli minister is indicative of how Israel is panicked by the Hezbollah leader's political clout and the movement's military might.

Recently a top Israeli official Major-General Amos Yadlin said that Hezbollah has not given up plans to avenge the assassination of its military commander Imad Mughniyeh.

Mughniyeh was killed in a February 2008 car bombing in Damascus. While Israel denies any involvement in the attack, Hezbollah says it has evidence of Israel's role in the assassination.


Israel Says: Hezbollah chief 'deserves to die'

JERUSALEM (AFP) An Israeli cabinet minister said on Sunday that Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Lebanon's Shiite fundmentalist movement Hezbollah and a nemesis of Israel, deserved to die.

"Nasrallah deserves death and I hope that those who know what to do with him will act and give him what he deserves," said Transport Minister Yisrael Katz, who is close to hawkish Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel and Hezbollah fought a devastating war in Lebanon in 2006 after the Shiite militia's guerrillas seized two Israeli soldiers in a deadly cross-border raid.

The 34-day war killed more than 1,200 Lebanese, mostly civilians, and more than 160 Israelis, mostly soldiers, and is widely considered in the Jewish state to have been a failure.

"We will soon set out a new policy. We should erect a wall between the Gaza Strip and Israel and we should no longer exercise the slightest responsibility for civil affairs in the Gaza Strip, such as allowing the passage of merchandise."

Israel has kept Gaza largely sealed to all but essential humanitarian goods since Hamas, an Islamist movement pledged to the destruction of the Jewish state.

In so far as this "lawsuit" against North Korea, then Palestinians should definitely sue America for providing the DIME missiles and other weapons that were CLEARLY used in an ILLEGAL way in Gaza!! Someone should investigate this option, because with all the UN investigations, all the evidence, and the agreement (refer to what Dennis Kucinich said about this) between the US and Israel as to how the US supplied weapons can (or cannot be used) is in breach of that agreement. Hezbollah-hit Americans sue North Korea

WASHINGTON (AFP) — US citizens in Israel injured by Hezbollah rockets on Friday sued North Korea seeking more than 100 million dollars, saying the communist state assisted the Lebanese Shiite group.

Hezbollah in 2006 fired thousands of missiles into northern Israel, which launched a deadly month-long offensive against its northern neighbor.

In a lawsuit filed in the US District Court in Washington, 30 Americans who said they were injured in the rocket attacks accused North Korea of helping Hezbollah build underground bunkers to safely store their Katyusha rockets.

"As a facilitator of the Hezbollah rockets, North Korea is financially liable to all those Americans injured by the terrorists," lawyer Nitsana Darshan-Leitner said in a statement.

Syria Lays Down the Law for Peace Agreement with Israel

Damascus, 2 April (AKI) - The chairman of Syria's foreign relations department in the parliament, Sulayman Haddad, outlined Syria's conditions to make peace with Israel in an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI) on Thursday ahead of the visit by Italy's foreign minister Franco Frattini, due to arrive in the country on Monday.

Syria's conditions for peace with Israel are, "the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, the return of all Palestinian refugees to their homes, the restitution of the Golan Heights and compensation for all the years of Israeli exploitation of the territory," Haddad told AKI.

He also welcomed Frattini's visit and underlined the importance of diplomatic relations between Rome and Damascus. At the same time, however, he doubted Italian mediation could succeed in changing or softening Israel's position in regards to the peace process with Syria.

"Mediation is not the problem, rather, it is that one of the parties does not want peace and does not want to resolve the conflict in the Middle East."

Rhetorical question: Any guesses as to who that "party" is? Why it's Israel, the one that wants to kill all Arabs and is the greatest threat to world peace. The one with nuclear weapons from America who just elected a maniacal bunch of racist killers.

Haddad also recalled the words of Israel's new foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman in an interview with an Israeli daily, saying the Jewish state would not withdraw from the Golan Heights.

Well, we can all dream of the day Leiberman gets his racist arse dragged kicking and screaming off Palestinian land. I'd pay good money for a ring side seat for that one!

Lieberman's remarks "forces us to remain faithful to the resistance. It is the only way that will produce any results with Israel," said Haddad.

Sadly this is very true, the only thing Israel understands is violence.

Following the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel captured the Syrian territory of the Golan Heights and annexed it in 1981. Syria and Israel have been technically at war ever since.

Last May, Israel and Syria launched peace talks aimed at a comprehensive peace agreement, under the auspices of Turkey.

Negotiations reached a stalemate in September after the resignation of former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert.

Syria then withdrew from the talks in protest against Israel's three-week military offensive in the Gaza Strip in late December 2008 and January 2009 in which at least 1,330 Palestinians were killed and 5,400 others were injured.

The offensive sparked outrage across the Arab world and worldwide protests against Israel.

HAMAS Angry Over Rocket Attacks on Israel

Hamas criticizes recent rocket attacks on Israel. Says wrong time for rocket attacks as we are trying to create a united Palestinian government and broker a ceasefire with Israel. They say a splinter group called "Hezbollah of Palestine" carried out attacks. On March 5th Hamas arrested members of this group for continuing to carry out rocket attacks on Israel. The Islamic militant group Hamas made a rare criticism Thursday of Palestinian rocket fire on Israel, saying now is the wrong time as truce talks continue.
Hamas, which rules Gaza, appears to be concerned about disrupting talks for a long-term cease-fire with Israel or reconciliation talks with its West Bank-based moderate rival, Fatah.

the militant group said Thursday it has not been involved in recent rocket attacks, including two fired Wednesday.

"Regarding the report about rockets fired from Gaza, we emphasize that these rockets have no link to any of the Palestinian resistance groups and are being fired at the wrong time," the Hamas-controlled Interior Ministry said. "We emphasize also that the security agencies are following who are behind such acts."

Hamas authorities in the Gaza Strip on Thursday slammed rocket attacks against Israel, pledging to stop them.

"The factions of resistance have no relations with the rockets that are being fired from Gaza. They are being fired in the wrong time and we confirm the security services are following up those who stand behind these rockets," Hamas' Interior Ministry said.

The statement of the ministry came after a new group calling itself "Hezbollah of Palestine" used to fire rockets against Israel almost every couple of days and claim responsibility for these attacks.

But sources from Hamas said the Hezbollah of Palestine was "a fake name used by more than one side to carry out actions away from the national understanding."

In February, Hamas has arrested a member of the local Hezbollah group for keeping firing rockets into Israel despite Hamas' willingness to broker a ceasefire with Israel.

The Hezbollah of Palestine first became public after a six-month fragile ceasefire between Hamas and Israel collapsed in December.
